Justin Barcia rinnova con Red Bull GasGas fino al 2023
Mentre la stagione 2022 del Supercross incombe – e inizierà tra poche settimane – il team Troy Lee Designs Red Bull GasGas ha confermato il suo elenco per la stagione 2022. Nulla è cambiato rispetto al 2021 in termini di piloti da Justin Barcia, Michael Mosiman e Pierce Brown sarà di nuovo al TLD GasGas la prossima stagione, ma è ormai noto che Justin Barcia ha firmato un prolungamento del contratto che lo vede estendere la sua collaborazione con il team fino al 2023.

Dopo aver vinto la prima gara del SX negli Stati Uniti per il marchio con radici spagnole a Houston quest’anno – che ha segnato anche la terza vittoria consecutiva di Justin Barcia su un’apertura della stagione SX – Justin Barcia ha giocato l’ultima scommessa offrendo a GasGas la sua prima vittoria nel Motocross a Spring Creek alla fine della stagione 2021. Nel 2021, Justin “BamBam” Barcia ha fatto 7 podi, 3 in Supercross e 4 in Motocross.
Con l’avvicinarsi della stagione 2022 – in cui Justin Barcia compirà 30 anni – il pilota americano ha firmato la sua estensione che lo vedrà spingere la sua collaborazione con Troy Lee Designs GasGas almeno fino al 2023.
Justin Barcia: “In quel primo anno con la squadra, ci siamo davvero divertiti, ma abbiamo anche lavorato molto duramente. Abbiamo vinto due round, è stato grandioso, ma il nostro obiettivo è ancora quello di vincere il campionato, ed è quello per cui lavoreremo nel 2022. Per il 2022, la squadra è cambiata molto. Ho un nuovo meccanico, Ollie [Stone], di cui sono molto contento e abbiamo anche portato alcuni nuovi ragazzi nel team, stanno facendo un ottimo lavoro. La squadra è davvero fantastica e rende il lavoro molto più semplice quando possiamo divertirci con la nostra squadra. Sono felice di stare con la squadra fino al 2023. Ovviamente l’obiettivo è chiudere qui la mia carriera. Vedremo quando succederà… sono davvero grato di essere in questa squadra e di divertirmi con loro”

Justin Barcia renews with Red Bull GasGas until 2023
As the 2022 Supercross season looms – and starts in three weeks – the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull GasGas team has confirmed its roster for the 2022 season. Nothing has changed since 2021 in terms of riders from Justin Barcia, Michael Mosiman and Pierce. Brown will be back at TLD GasGas next season, but it is now known that Justin Barcia has signed a contract extension which sees him extend his partnership with the team until 2023.

After winning the first SX win in the US for the Spanish-rooted brand in Houston this year – which also marked Justin Barcia’s third consecutive win over an SX season opener – Justin Barcia has played the ultimate bet by offering at GasGas his first Motocross victory in Spring Creek at the end of the 2021 season. In 2021, Justin “BamBam” Barcia made 7 podiums, 3 in Supercross and 4 in Motocross.
As the 2022 season approaches – in which Justin Barcia will turn 30 – the American driver has signed his extension that will see him push his collaboration with Troy Lee Designs GasGas until at least 2023 …
Justin Barcia: “In that first year with the team, we really enjoyed ourselves, but we also worked very hard. We won two rounds, it was great, but our goal is still to win the championship, and that’s what we will work for in 2022. For 2022, the team has changed a lot. I have a new mechanic, Ollie [Stone], who I am very happy with and we have also brought some new guys to the team, they are doing a great job. The team is really great and it makes the job so much easier when we can have fun with our team. I am happy to be with the team until 2023. Obviously the goal is to end my career here. We’ll see when that happens … I’m really grateful to be on this team and have fun with them ”
