ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING PRESENTA LA FORMAZIONE DEI PILOTI 2022 PER I CAMPIONATI AMA SUPERCROSS E PRO MOTOCROSS

IL TEAM PUNTA ALLA VITTORIA CON LA NUOVA HUSQVARNA MOTORCYCLES 2022 ROCKSTAR EDITION

Con il round di apertura del campionato AMA Supercross proprio dietro l’angolo, il Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team è entusiasta di annunciare la sua formazione di piloti per la stagione di gare 2022, che include un elenco esperto in entrambe le classi. I piloti di ritorno Dean Wilson, RJ Hampshire, Jalek Swoll e Stilez Robertson – insieme al nuovo arrivato Malcolm Stewart – non vedono l’ora di guidare le nuovissime edizioni FC Rockstar in questa stagione, a partire da sabato 8 gennaio ad Anaheim, in California.

Dall’entusiasmante annuncio durante l’estate, i fan di tutto il mondo hanno anticipato il debutto di Malcolm Stewart a bordo dell’FC 450 Rockstar Edition e il momento è finalmente giunto. Dopo una stagione di supercross di successo nel 2021, Stewart si è dimostrato un contendente nella classe regina 450 con un podio e quattro primi cinque posti la scorsa stagione. Ora, con il team Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing alle sue spalle, Stewart cerca di mantenere lo slancio mentre si prepara ad attaccare sia il Supercross che il Motocross per la prima volta dal 2014.

Malcolm Stewart: “Mi sento davvero bene. Ci siamo allenati molto e abbiamo messo a punto la moto, quindi non vediamo l’ora di andare in A1 e nella stagione 2022. Sarà un buon anno per me. So di essere finito molto bene l’anno scorso per gli ultimi due round, ma ora ovviamente siamo in una nuova squadra e ci sentiamo meglio, mi piace l’intera atmosfera qui. Tutto quello che possiamo fare è andare là fuori, divertirci e fare quello che possiamo fare!”

Wilson, che è arrivato per la prima volta al Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing nel 2017, entrerà nella sua sesta stagione con il team nel 2022. Combattendo contro una malattia in corso nel 2021, Wilson ha saltato alcune gare ma è comunque riuscito a rimanere coerente e finire appena fuori la top-10 nel campionato AMA Supercross e cerca di costruire su quelle basi mentre si dirige verso il 2022 sano e pronto a partire.

Dean Wilson: “Sono davvero eccitato per la nuova stagione. Ho un’altra grande opportunità con la squadra e mi sento davvero bene. Sto cercando delle buone finiture, tutto sta andando a posto, quindi dovrebbe essere buono”.

Il Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team vanta un’entusiasmante schiera di esperti piloti 250 cc pronti a disputare il campionato a bordo della nuova generazione FC 250 Rockstar Edition. Al timone per il suo terzo anno con la squadra c’è il pluripremiato vincitore di gare, RJ Hampshire. Con una quantità infinita di velocità e determinazione, Hampshire è un feroce concorrente in pista e cerca di affinare le sue abilità in questa stagione e finalmente atterrare in cima al podio con una targa numero uno.

RJ Hampshire: “Mi sento bene per la nuova stagione. Abbiamo avuto una buona off-season finora e la moto è fantastica, quindi abbiamo molte cose da aspettarci. Stiamo ricominciando da capo ed entusiasti di stare con la squadra per un altro anno e costruire su ciò che abbiamo iniziato negli ultimi due anni”.

Jalek Swoll, che ha iniziato la sua carriera professionale nel supercross con Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing nel 2020, ora entra nella sua terza stagione nella classe. Il 21enne ha avuto una stagione di break-out nel 2021, rivendicando un ottimo secondo posto all’Arlington SX prima di completare la serie con i primi cinque posti in classifica generale. Ha anche mostrato lampi di brillantezza all’aperto, assicurandosi la sua prima vittoria assoluta in carriera con 1-3 arrivi in ​​manche all’High Point National. Per il 2022, Swoll si schiererà nella divisione 250SX Western, dove non vede l’ora di affrontare una nuova serie di sfide sulla costa occidentale.

Jalek Swoll: “Sono entusiasta di correre, sarò su una costa diversa dal solito, quindi sarà un’esperienza di apprendimento diversa e divertente. Non vedo l’ora. Penso che ci aspetta un anno piuttosto buono. Farò solo quello che ho fatto l’anno scorso e mi divertirò fino in fondo e lascerò che i risultati vengano da me”.

Con un anno intero di corse professionistiche alle spalle, Stilez Robertson tornerà per la sua seconda stagione con il team. Nonostante una stagione da rookie altalenante a causa di infortuni e malattie, il diciannovenne è uscito con alcuni punti salienti nel 2021, tra cui un impressionante secondo posto al Daytona SX. Ha saltato tre degli ultimi cinque round, ma è riuscito comunque a raggiungere un rispettabile 13° posto in classifica. Sperando in una forte spinta all’aperto, Robertson è partito bene, ma la malattia gli ha impedito di concludere la stagione. Completamente recuperato in vista del 2022, Robertson è fiducioso che si accumulerà quando il cancello scenderà a gennaio.

Stilez Robertson: “È stata una dura off-season con la malattia, ma l’ho superato e non vedo davvero l’ora di andare a correre. Mi sono messo al lavoro e ora sono pronto per andare a mostrare a tutti per cosa abbiamo lavorato. Sono entusiasta di avere una buona stagione, di essere davanti e di provare a mettere insieme dei buoni risultati sia nel supercross che all’aperto”.

Stephen Westfall – Team Manager Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing: “Mi sento davvero bene in vista della stagione 2022. La squadra è solida e abbiamo una moto tutta nuova sia per la 450 che per la 250. Abbiamo una base davvero solida e penso che continueremo a migliorare durante tutto l’anno. La squadra sta lavorando duramente, abbiamo un buon gruppo in Florida che si allena tutti insieme e spinge ogni giorno. With the opening round of the AMA Supercross Championship just around the corner, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team is excited to announce its rider lineup for the 2022 race season, which includes a seasoned roster in both classes. Returning riders Dean Wilson, RJ Hampshire, Jalek Swoll and Stilez Robertson – along with newcomer Malcolm Stewart – are looking forward to piloting the all-new FC Rockstar Editions this season, beginning on Saturday, January 8 in Anaheim, California.
 
Since the exciting announcement over the summer, fans across the globe have anticipated Malcolm Stewart’s debut aboard the FC 450 Rockstar Edition and the time is finally upon us. Coming off a successful supercross season in 2021, Stewart has proven himself as a contender in the premier 450 class with a podium finish and four top-five finishes last season. Now, with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team behind him, Stewart looks to keep the momentum rolling as he prepares to attack both Supercross and Motocross for the first time since 2014.
 
Malcolm Stewart: “I feel really good. We’ve been doing a lot of training and we’ve got the bike really dialed in, so we’re looking forward to going into A1 and the 2022 season. It’s going to be a good year for me. I know I ended really good last year for the last couple rounds but now obviously we’re on a new team and feeling better, I like the whole vibe here. All we can do is go out there, have fun and do what we can do!”
 
Wilson, who first came to Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing in 2017, will enter his sixth season with the team in 2022. Battling through an ongoing illness in 2021, Wilson missed quite a few races but he still managed to stay consistent and finish just outside the top-10 in the AMA Supercross Championship and he looks to build upon that foundation as he heads into 2022 healthy and ready to go.
 
Dean Wilson: “I’m really excited for the new season. I have another great opportunity with the team and I’m feeling really good. I’m looking for some good finishes, everything is kind of falling into place so it should be good.”
 
250SX
The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team boasts an exciting lineup of seasoned 250 cc riders who are all set to contest the championship aboard the new generation FC 250 Rockstar Edition. At the helm for his third year with the team is multi-time race winner, RJ Hampshire. With an endless amount of speed and determination, Hampshire is a fierce competitor on the race track and he looks to refine his skills this season and finally land on top of the box with a number one plate.
 
RJ Hampshire: “I’m feeling good heading into the new season. We’ve had a good off-season so far and the bike is awesome, so we have a lot of things to look forward to. We’re starting fresh and just excited to be with the team for another year and build on what we’ve started the last couple years.”
 
Jalek Swoll, who began his professional supercross career with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing in 2020, now enters his third season in the class. The 21-year-old had a break-out season in 2021, claiming a strong second-place at Arlington SX before rounding out the series with a top-five overall in the championship standings. He also showed flashes of brilliance outdoors, securing his first-career overall win with 1-3 moto finishes at the High Point National. For 2022, Swoll will line up in the 250SX Western division where he looks forward to a new set of challenges on the west coast.
 
Jalek Swoll: “I’m excited to race, going to be on a different coast than usual so that will be a different and fun learning experience. I’m looking forward to that. I think we’re in for a pretty good year. I’m just going to do what I did last year and have fun all the way through and let the results come to me.”
 
With one full year of professional racing under his belt, Stilez Robertson will return for his sophomore season with the team. Despite an up-and-down rookie season due to injury and illness, the 19-year-old came away with a few highlights in 2021, including an impressive second-place finish at Daytona SX. He missed three of the last five rounds but still managed a respectable 13th overall in the standings. Hoping for a strong push outdoors, Robertson got off to a decent start but illness prevented him from finishing out the season. Fully recovered heading into 2022, Robertson is confident that he will stack up when the gate drops in January.
 
Stilez Robertson: “It was a tough off-season with the sickness but I got over it and I’m really looking forward to going racing. I’ve been putting in the work and now I’m ready to go and show everybody what we’ve been working for. I’m excited to have a good season, be up front and try to put together some good results in both supercross and outdoors.”
 
Stephen Westfall – Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager: “I feel really good heading into the 2022 season. The team is solid and we have an all-new bike for both the 450 and 250. We have a really solid base and I think we will continue to get better throughout the year. The team is working hard, we’ve got a good group down in Florida all training together and pushing each and every day. We’ll continue to improve and we’re looking forward to the results this year.”
