Mathys Boisrame sostituirà l’infortunato Monticelli in MXGP

Saldamente affermato come primo classificato e regolare visitatore del podio in MX2 sulla sua F&H KX250, il francese Mathys Boisrame è stato selezionato per sostituire l’infortunato Ivo Monticelli sulla MX Esca Kawasaki KX450-SR.

Recentemente selezionato come parte di una forte squadra francese per il MXoN 2021, Boisrame non ha nascosto il fatto che, come molti piloti della classe MX2, la sua ambizione principale è quella di affrontare l’ultima sfida di motocross della MXGP.

Il primo compito di Boisrame sarà quello di familiarizzare con la sua nuova moto con le prove programmate e i briefing di familiarizzazione prima dei restanti round MXGP.

Sebbene comprensibilmente triste vedere Mathys partire senza completare l’intera stagione 2021, il Team Manager della sua attuale squadra F&H, Nathalie Fase, ha dato alla classe di corse il suo pieno supporto dicendo: “Abbiamo trascorso dei bei momenti lavorando con MB172. Mathys è un pilota veloce con un grande potenziale futuro e un ottimo giocatore di squadra. F&H è orgoglioso di aver contribuito alla sua fulminea ascesa ai ranghi dei piloti MXGP e gli auguriamo ogni bene per il suo futuro Kawasaki”.

Nonostante un infortunio al ginocchio di metà stagione da cui ora si è ripreso, Boisrame, ha dimostrato di essere un pilota sia veloce che tattico. La sua ascesa alla ribalta di tre anni nel team F&H è qualcosa che piace a MX Esca, Team Manager, Vincent Bereni: “MX Esca è felice di dare a Mathys l’opportunità di guidare gli ultimi eventi MXGP sulla KX 450 SR. F&H si è impegnata molto in Mathys negli ultimi 2 anni. Lasciargli cogliere questa opportunità mostra quanto sia professionale e dedicato allo sport il team F&H e vorrei ringraziarli per questo. Dal nostro punto di vista, non ci piace mai avere fretta, il passaggio dalle moto MX2 a MXGP è importante, per questo abbiamo deciso di mettere a proprio agio Mathys con la moto, dando anche al team il tempo di essere pronto dato che attualmente stiamo correndo ogni fine settimana . In questo modo potrà esibirsi al meglio. Pensiamo che Mathys possa avere una buona esperienza nella classe MXGP e mostrare il suo potenziale per il futuro.

Lo stesso Mathy’s ha concluso: “Prima di tutto voglio ringraziare sinceramente il team di F&H e soprattutto Nathalie e Harry Fase, che hanno fatto molto per me in questi due anni, a loro rimarrò eternamente grato. Grazie anche a Marc De Reuver, allenatore esigente ma molto stimolante! A seguito del mio infortunio al ginocchio, ho perso terreno in campionato e una top 10 non corrisponde alle nostre rispettive ambizioni, quindi con l’idea di preparare il mio passaggio alla 450, sono stati immediatamente entusiasti e collaborativi con Kawasaki Motor Europe per facilitare questa transizione, di nuovo dimostrando la sportività che li guida. Infine, sono onorato che il team KRT guidato da Thierry Suzzoni e Vince Bereni di MX Esca abbia pensato a me come un’opzione credibile per sostituire Ivo per la fine della stagione, non c’è pacchetto migliore per iniziare in MXGP, io sono in paradiso!»

Firmly established as a front runner and regular podium visitor in MX2 on his F&H KX250, Frenchman Mathys Boisrame has been selected to deputise for the injured Ivo Monticelli on the MX Esca Kawasaki KX450-SR.

Recently selected as part of a strong French team for the 2021 MXoN, Boisrame has made no secret of the fact that – like many riders in the MX2 class – his core ambition is take on the ultimate motocross challenge of MXGP.

Welcomed to the MX Esca awning by Monticelli’s pit crew and the rest of the experienced team, Boisrame’s first task will be to familiarise himself with his new mount with scheduled practice and familiarisation briefings ahead of the remaining MXGP rounds.

Although understandably sad to see Mathys depart without completing the full 2021 season, Team Manager of his current F&H squad, Nathalie Fase, has given the racing class step up her full support saying: “We had some great times working with MB172. Mathys is a fast rider with great future potential and a superb team player. F&H is proud to have played part in his meteoric rise to the ranks of MXGP riders and we wish him well for his Kawasaki future”.

Despite a mid-season knee injury from which he has now recovered, Boisrame, has shown himself to be both a fast and tactical rider. His three year rise to prominence in the F&H team is something that appeals to MX Esca, Team Manager, Vincent Bereni: “MX Esca is happy to give Mathys the opportunity to ride the last MXGP events on the KX 450 SR machine. F&H has put a lot of effort into Mathys in the past 2 years. Letting him take this opportunity shows just how professional and how dedicated to the sport the F&H team is and I’d like to thank them for that. From our end, we never like to rush anything, the step from MX2 to MXGP bikes is important that is why we decided to first get Mathys comfortable with the bike, giving the team the time to be also ready as we are currently racing every weekend. This way he will be able to perform at his best. We think Mathys can get some good experience of the MXGP class and show his potential for the future.” 

Mathy’s himself concluded: “First of all I want to sincerely thank the F&H team and especially Nathalie and Harry Fase, who have done a lot for me during these past two years, I will remain eternally grateful to them. Thanks also to Marc De Reuver, a demanding but very inspiring coach! Following my knee injury, I lost ground in the championship and a top 10 does not correspond to our respective ambitions, so with the idea of preparing my move to 450, they were immediately enthusiastic and cooperative with Kawasaki Motor Europe to facilitate this transition, again demonstrating the sportsmanship that drives them. Finally, I am honoured that the KRT team run by Thierry Suzzoni and Vince Bereni of MX Esca have thought of me as a credible option in fill in for Ivo for the end of the season, there is no better package to start in MXGP, I am in heaven!”
