ROMAIN FEBVRE FIRMA UN AFFARE DI DUE ANNI PER LA KAWASAKI FACTORY
Il pilota francese, Romain Febvre, ha firmato un contratto diretto con KHI, la factory Kawasaki per gareggiare in MXGP per il 2022 e il 2023
L’accordo è un segno tangibile della fiducia che Kawasaki ha nel potenziale iridato del 29enne di Epinal, capoluogo del dipartimento dei Vosgi, nel nord est della Francia.
Con una reputazione per la capacità di vincere su qualsiasi superficie, dal terreno duro alla sabbia profonda, Febvre sarà un elemento fondamentale dell’approccio Kawasaki al motocross al suo livello più alto secondo Steve Guttridge, Race Planning Manager per Kawasaki Motors Europe.
“Dalle sue prime gare come parte della nostra famiglia verde lime abbiamo potuto vedere che grande adattamento di Romain era con Kawasaki e KX450. La sua affinità con la moto è sotto gli occhi di tutti. Ha una grande visione per ciò che vuole ottenere e un piano d’attacco che lo contraddistingue come eccezionale anche tra i migliori dell’attuale gruppo di migliori piloti MXGP”.
Per Romain concludere un contratto biennale prima della maturazione della stagione 2021 gli consentirà di concentrarsi sul lavoro in corso, come spiega il francese.
“Era molto importante per me concordare un accordo che mi permettesse di concentrarmi sul campionato 2021 e dare il massimo per la mia squadra. Ora sono uno dei ragazzi più veloci del campionato e non vedo l’ora di iniziare una nuova avventura e ottenere grandi cose sulla Kawasaki ufficiale. Un contratto di due anni mi consentirà di pianificare ed estendere ulteriormente le mie capacità con la KX450. Si adatta già bene al mio stile in termini di tipo di erogazione di potenza che mi piace, inoltre il telaio stretto si adatta molto bene al mio stile di guida e al posizionamento del corpo. Ora ho il tempo e lo spazio per mettere a punto il pacchetto e continuare il regime di allenamento necessario per raggiungere il mio obiettivo, un titolo mondiale MXGP per Kawasaki”.
Concludendo, Steve Guttridge ha aggiunto che la Kawasaki sperava che l’annuncio rispondesse alle speculazioni sul paddock e permettesse così a Febvre di concentrarsi completamente su quella che è diventata una stagione 2021 affascinante e combattuta.
“C’è ancora del lavoro da fare nel campionato di quest’anno e Romain e la nostra squadra stanno spingendo il più possibile per salire sul gradino più alto ad ogni round e lottare per il titolo in questa stagione. Siamo super felici di aver assicurato a Romain di competere in MXGP e speriamo che tutti i fan Kawasaki in tutto il mondo si uniscano a noi in questo entusiasmante viaggio. Ora che abbiamo annunciato questo accordo factory per i prossimi due anni, speriamo che a Romain vengano dati il tempo, lo spazio e il rispetto necessari per concentrarsi sul lavoro da svolgere”.

ROMAIN FEBVRE SIGNS TWO-YEAR KAWASAKI FACTORY DEAL
French rider, Romain Febvre, has signed a direct contract with KHI, the Kawasaki factory to compete in MXGP for 2022 and 2023
The deal is a tangible indication of the confidence Kawasaki has in the World Championship potential of the 29 year old from Epinal, the capital of the Vosges department of north eastern France.
With a reputation for the ability to win on any surface from hard pack to deep sand, Febvre will be a core element of the Kawasaki approach to motocross at its highest level according to Race Planning Manager for Kawasaki Motors Europe, Steve Guttridge.
“From his first races as part of our lime green family we could see what a great fit Romain was with Kawasaki and the KX450. His affinity with the bike is there for all to see. He has a great vision for what he wants to achieve and a plan of attack that marks him out as exceptional even amongst the very best of the current crop of top MXGP riders.”
For Romain to conclude a two-year deal before the 2021 season has matured will allow him to concentrate on the job in hand as the Frenchman explains.
“It was very important for me to agree a deal to allow me to focus on the 2021 Championship and give my best efforts to my team. I am now one of the fastest guys in the Championship and I am looking forward to a new adventure and achieving great things on the factory Kawasaki.
A two-year deal will allow me to plan and extend even further my abilities with the KX450. It already suits my style well in terms of the type of power delivery I like plus the narrow chassis suits my riding style and body positioning really well. Now I have the time and space to fine tune the package and continue the necessary training regime to achieve my goal, an MXGP world title for Kawasaki.”
Concluding, Steve Guttridge added that Kawasaki hoped that the announcement would answer paddock speculation and so allow Febvre to concentrate fully on what has become a fascinating and hard fought 2021 season.
“There is still work to do in this year’s championship and Romain and our team are pushing as hard as they can to get on the top step at every round and fighting for the title this season. We are super happy to have secured Romain to compete in MXGP and we hope that all Kawasaki fans worldwide will join us on this exciting journey. Now that we have announced this factory deal for the coming two years, we hope that Romain will be given the time, space and respect necessary now to focus on the job in hand.”
