LE SESSIONI DI QUALIFICA CONCLUDONO IL PRIMO GIORNO DEL CAMPIONATO MONDIALE FIM JUNIOR MOTOCROSS IN GRECIA |
MEGALOPOLIS (Grecia) 31 luglio 2021 – Si è conclusa a Megalopolis, in Grecia , la prima giornata di gare per l’edizione 2021 del Campionato Mondiale FIM Junior Motocross.
I giovani più talentuosi sono scesi oggi al PPC-MINES MEGALOPOLIS CIRCUIT per le loro sessioni di qualificazione nella speranza di iniziare la competizione con una buona posizione di partenza per le gare.
Accanto alle sessioni di prove di qualificazione della giornata, si è svolta una speciale attivazione FIM Ride Green , che ha visto tutte le squadre nazionali piantare il proprio albero sul circuito per essere in linea con la missione Ride Green di FIM per proteggere l’ambiente.
Nella categoria 65cc, l’ungherese Aaron Katona è stato il pilota più veloce del gruppo con un tempo sul giro di 2:09.374 , mentre l’olandese Dean Gregoire è stato secondo con un tempo di 2:10,642. Terzo è stato il bulgaro Dani Tsankov , mentre il miglior pilota locale è stato Georgios Tsalikis che si è piazzato 33 ° per le gare di domani.
Il pilota 85cc più veloce è stato il lettone Martins Janis Reisulis che ha segnato un tempo sul giro di 1:58.645 davanti all’italiano Mattia Barbieri che ha fatto segnare un tempo di 1:58.680. Il terzo pilota più veloce del gruppo è stato il vincitore della Coppa del Mondo Junior 65cc dello scorso anno, Vitezslav Marek.
Nel frattempo, nella classe 125cc, l’attuale leader del campionato EMX125, Haakon Osterhagen del Fantic Factory Team Maddii è stato il pilota più veloce nella sessione di qualifiche, con un tempo di 2:00.340 davanti al lettone Alberts Karlis Reisulis che era di soli 0,630 secondi dietro. Terzo lo spagnolo Raul Sanchez. Il campione del mondo 85cc dell’anno scorso, Valerio Lata, si è piazzato quinto.
Con l’azione di qualificazione conclusa, è tempo di guardare avanti alle gare di domani mentre ci prepariamo per incoronare il 2021 125cc e 85cc Junior World Champions e vincitore della Coppa del Mondo Junior nella categoria 65cc.

Qualifying sessions conclude day one of the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in Greece
MEGALOPOLIS (Greece) 31 July 2021 – The first day of racing has concluded in Megalopolis, Greece, for the 2021 edition of the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship.
The most talented youngsters took to the PPC-MINES MEGALOPOLIS CIRCUIT for their qualifying sessions today in the hope of beginning the competition with a good starting position for the races.
Alongside the qualifying practice sessions of the day, a special FIM Ride Green activation took place, which saw all the national teams plant their very own tree at the circuit to go in line with FIM’s Ride Green mission to protect the environment.
In the 65cc category, Hungarian Aaron Katona was the fastest rider in the group with a lap time of 2:09.374, while Dutch rider Dean Gregoire was second with a time of 2:10.642. Third was Bulgarian Dani Tsankov, while the best placing local rider was Georgios Tsalikis who placed 33rd for tomorrow’s races.
The fastest 85cc rider was Latvian Martins Janis Reisulis who clocked a lap time of 1:58.645 ahead of Italian Mattia Barbieri who put in a time of 1:58.680. The third fastest rider in the group was last year’s 65cc Junior World Cup winner, Vitezslav Marek.
Meanwhile in the 125cc class, current EMX125 Championship leader, Haakon Osterhagen of Fantic Factory Team Maddii was the fastest rider in the qualifying session as he set a time of 2:00.340 ahead of Latvian Alberts Karlis Reisulis who was just 0.630 seconds behind. Third was Spaniard Raul Sanchez. Last year’s 85cc World Champion, Valerio Lata placed fifth.
With the qualifying action concluded, it is time to look forward to tomorrow’s races as we gear up to crown the 2021 125cc and 85cc Junior World Champions and Junior World Cup winner in the 65cc category.
