Yamaha Motor Europe è lieta di confermare un’estensione del contratto con Jeremy Seewer che vedrà la star svizzera di 26 anni correre con una YZ450FM all’interno del Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross con il pieno supporto del team Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP fino al 2023.
Dopo aver celebrato la prima gara MXGP e la vittoria del Grand Prix la scorsa stagione, Seewer, quattro volte vicecampione del mondo FIM Motocross, è entusiasta di rimanere con Yamaha per altri due anni. Il nuovo contratto porta ulteriore continuità e forza sia a Seewer che alla squadra. Insieme, mirano ad aggiungere all’incredibile elenco di risultati del #91, che include un totale di 38 podi e sei vittorie di Gran Premi durante la sua carriera in MX2 e MXGP.
Seewer è entrato a far parte della famiglia Yamaha nel 2018 e ha trascorso tre stagioni complete con Yamaha nella classe regina, MXGP. Da quando ha fatto il suo debutto nella 450cc, la stella svizzera ha portato la sua YZ450FM a 12 podi, tre vittorie in gare e una vittoria nel Gran Premio, arrivando due volte al secondo posto con la Yamaha nel Campionato del mondo MXGP, nel 2019 e nel 2020.
Sorprendentemente, durante i suoi otto anni da pilota professionista, non ha perso un solo Gran Premio. Il terzo round del Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross che si svolgerà a Maggiora, in Italia, oggi è il suo 131° Gran Premio consecutivo. Attualmente è sesto nella classifica del campionato MXGP 2021 dopo due round.
Jeremy Seewer: “È fantastico stare con la Yamaha per un altro paio d’anni. Non avrei mai pensato in così tanto tempo, dal 2018, che avrei costruito un rapporto così fantastico con un marchio e che sarei entrato così rapidamente nel team Yamaha Factory dove sono stato per due anni, e ora di estendere il contratto al 2023. È davvero bello avere un marchio come Yamaha dietro di me. Sono felice di questo. Mi sento così bene nell’ambiente, ho le persone giuste intorno a me. In questo modo, possiamo farcela attraverso tutto, sia nel bene che nel male, possiamo affrontare qualunque cosa ci capiti, e questo mi dà più sicurezza”.

Yamaha Motor Europe is pleased to confirm a contract extension with Jeremy Seewer that will see the 26-year-old Swiss star race a YZ450FM inside the FIM Motocross World Championship with the full support of the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team through 2023.
After celebrating a maiden MXGP race and Grand Prix win last season, four times FIM Motocross World Championship runner-up Seewer is excited to remain with Yamaha for another two years. The new contract brings extra continuity and strength to both Seewer and the team. Together, they aim to add to the #91’s incredible list of achievements, which includes a total of 38 podiums and six Grand Prix wins throughout his career in MX2 and MXGP.
Seewer joined the Yamaha Family back in 2018 and has enjoyed three full seasons with Yamaha inside the premier class, MXGP. Since making his 450cc debut, the Swiss star has taken his YZ450FM to 12 podium finishes, three race wins and a Grand Prix victory on his way to finishing second with Yamaha inside the MXGP World Championship twice – in 2019 and 2020.
Impressively, throughout his eight years as a professional racer, he has not missed a single Grand Prix. The third round of the FIM Motocross World Championship that will take place in Maggiora, Italy, today is his 131st consecutive Grand Prix start. He is currently sixth in the 2021 MXGP Championship Standings after two rounds.
Jeremy Seewer: “It’s amazing to stay with Yamaha for another couple of years. I never thought in this amount of time, since 2018, that I would build such an awesome relationship with a brand, and to move so quickly into the Yamaha Factory team where I have been for two-years, and now to extend the contract to 2023. It feels really good to have a brand like Yamaha behind me. I am happy about that. I feel so good in the environment, I have the right people around me. Like this, we can make it through everything, both good and bad, we can take on whatever comes our way, and this gives me extra confidence.”
