ZACH OSBORNE OUT PER IL RESTO DEL CAMPIONATO PRO MOTOCROSS 2021
IL CAMPIONE IN GARA DELLA 450MX CONTINUERÀ A GUARIRE PER LA STAGIONE DI GARE 2022
Il Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team ha annunciato oggi che il campione in carica della 450MX Zach Osborne salterà il resto del campionato AMA Pro Motocross 2021 per riprendersi completamente da un infortunio alla schiena in corso.
Osborne, che ha subito l’infortunio alla schiena a metà del campionato AMA Supercross 2021, ha lavorato duramente per prepararsi al round di apertura della stagione all’aperto, ma sfortunatamente si è infortunato nuovamente al secondo round in Colorado. Dopo un’ulteriore revisione con il team, Osborne ha preso la difficile decisione di saltare il resto della stagione per riprendersi completamente per il 2022.
Zach Osborne: “Sono deluso a dir poco. Questo infortunio è stato una grande battuta d’arresto senza un percorso chiaro verso il 100%, ma sento di essere sulla buona strada ora e ho solo bisogno di dare al mio corpo il tempo di guarire. Io, insieme alla squadra, abbiamo preso la decisione di staccare la spina ed essere pronto per il 2022. È stata una decisione difficile in un anno già difficile, ma credo di poter tornare alla forma del 2020 con questo tempo lontano per guarire. Grazie alla mia squadra e ai fan per il supporto in questo modo!”
Stephen Westfall, Team Manager Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing: “Zach ha avuto un problema alla schiena durante SX che lo ha messo fuori per un po’ di tempo e con un sacco di riabilitazione, è tornato al 100%. Sfortunatamente, si è infortunato nuovamente durante la seconda sessione di prove libere a Thunder Valley e abbiamo deciso come squadra che era meglio per lui saltare il resto della stagione MX per essere pronto al 100% per la stagione SX del prossimo anno. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team announced today that reigning 450MX Champion Zach Osborne will miss the remainder of the 2021 AMA Pro Motocross Championship in order to fully recover from an ongoing back injury.
Osborne, who sustained the back injury mid-way through the 2021 AMA Supercross Championship, worked hard to get himself ready for the opening round of the outdoor season but he unfortunately re-injured himself at the second round in Colorado. Upon further review with the team, Osborne made the tough decision to sit out the rest of the season to fully recover for 2022.
Zach Osborne: “I’m bummed to say the least. This injury has been a big setback with no clear path to 100% but I feel I’m on a good path now and I just need to give my body the time to heal itself. Myself, along with the team, made the decision to pull the plug and be ready for 2022. It was a tough decision in an already-trying year but I believe I can be back to 2020 form with this time away to heal up. Thanks to my team and fans for the support through this!”
Stephen Westfall, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager: “Zach had a back issue during SX that put him out for some time and with a lot of rehab, he was back to 100%. Unfortunately, he re-injured it during the second practice at Thunder Valley and we decided as a team that it was best for him to sit out the rest of the MX season to be 100% ready for next year’s SX season. We know he will do the best and proper things to be there! The whole Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team wishes him the best.”
The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team will return to racing this Saturday, June 19 in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania.
