Stefano Avandero President of A Sport Group: “It was a fantastic day of sport and fun with friends. I thank Alex, Andrea, Gautier and Giacomo for being here today and for sharing such an important moment with us. They have been five very demanding and difficult years but with our tenacity we have managed to hit the target. This day is just the first of many others to come and it is an important signal at a difficult time for everyone. I want to thank the whole group of people who work alongside me, together we are a team.”
Alessandro Puzar: “Coming back here is always a great thrill. In Maggiora thirty years ago I became Alex Puzar and I gave a real turning point to my career. Unfortunately, today I was unable to take to the track due to an injury but even as a mere spectator I would not be missing to be here for anything in the world and I thank Stefano for the invitation.”
Andrea Dovizioso: “It is hard today to find a track of this level and to ride in Maggiora with riders like Paulin and Gajser was simply fantastic. For me it was the first time on this track and it was a perfect day, in which I was also able to learn something from others, constantly trying to improve myself.”
Gautier Paulin: “Being here today is an incredible thing because I am returning to a track where I have won both a Grand Prix and a MX of the Nations. It is fantastic to see a track that opens in a period in which mostly they close. They did a great job and I’m happy that Stefano and the guys from Maggiora did everything to reopen, it’s a great signal in such a period.”
Giacomo Nizzolo: “It is a pleasure and an honor to be here at the official reopening of the track and to be able to share it with riders of this level is even better. For me Maggiora represents the temple of Motocross, a place that I already appreciated when I was little; being able to ride today was a fantastic emotion.”
