Oggi non c’è un giorno senza che circolino informazioni vere o errate, legate alla situazione sanitaria di ieri, oggi e domani. Ieri la Federazione Internazionale ha trasmesso la nuova versione del calendario dei Campionati Mondiali di motocross, cosa che non è stata senza conseguenze a livello del Motoclub di Lacapelle Marival che non ha mai smesso di mobilitarsi per organizzare la sua prova di pre stagione.

 

 

Da qualche anno i team ufficiali si stanno spingendo per essere assunti a Lacapelle Marival, e sembra che il 2021 non esisterà dalla regola. Oggi la prova ha acquisito una tale notorietà che le richieste affluiscono per essere della parte, e gli organizzatori si erano già assicurati la presenza lato tricolore di Tom Vialle (campione del mondo MX2 nel 2020), Roman Febvre (campione del mondo MXGP nel 2015, 4° dell’ultimo mondiale), Maxime Renaux (3° del Mondiale MX2), Mathys Boisrame (nella top 6 dell’ultimo mondiale MX2 prima di infortunarsi) e Maxime Desprey (campione Elite 2019). Lato estero Svizzera Jeremy Seewer (vice campione del mondo MXGP), Lettone Pauls Jonass (campione mondiale MX2 nel 2017), Britannico Ben Watson (5° del mondo MX2), Olandese Roan Van di Moosdijk (7° del Mondiale MX2), il team ufficiale GasGas MX2 Simon Laengenfelder e Isaak Gifting e il Belgio Liam Everts (leader del Campionato Europeo 2020 prima di infortunarsi) sono stati i primi a confermare la loro presenza. In attesa di confermare questi piloti per la nuova data, le trattative continuano con molti top riders e questa lista si allungherà nelle prossime settimane.

Since more than ten years now, Lacapelle Marival organize one of the main pre season International Motocross. With the new MXGP calendar the club had to change the date of the 2021 Masters and it’s finally on April 25th that many top riders will line up on the French track.

Due to the Coronavirus situation nothing is never sure and every day you hear new rumours, new decisions… Yesterday the FIM and Infront deliver a new calendar of the Motocross World Championship, and due to the fact that the season will start later than usual the club of Lacapelle had to change his date too. “We never stopped working to be ready mid march for our event, but we knew that everything could change so we worked carefully,” explains Vincent Ayroles from the club. “Since several weeks now we talk with teams and riders, and most of them told us that if the first GP was postponed it would be great to organize our Masters later. We fully understand that the athletes work to be fit at the right moment, and usually our date is four to five weeks before the opening Grand Prix; the first GP is now on May 23^rd instead of April 3^rd, so after talking with our national Federation as we can’t organize the same day as a French Elite, we took the decision to organize our Motocross on April 25^th in Lacapelle Marival.”

Since a few years now many top teams and top riders come to race on the natural track of Lacapelle Marival, and it seems that 2021 we’ll see again a strong line up in the MXGP and MX2 class. Tom Vialle (MX2 World Champion), Jeremy Seewer (2^nd in the MXGP), Romain Febvre (4^th in the MXGP), the F&H Kawasaki team (Roan Van de Moosdijk, Mathys Boisrame, Mikkel Haarup), Maxime Renaux (3^rd in the MX2), Ben Watson (5^th in the MX2), Pauls Jonass (2017 MX2 World Champion), team GasGas MX2 (Simon Laengenfelder and Isak Gifting) and Liam Everts were all on the 2021 starting list, but now for sure due to the change of date the club is waiting a confirmation from everyone, and will continue to negotiate with many other teams and riders.
