Uscito Lupino dal Team anche il Gebben Van Venrooy rilascia i primi contratti, qui la conferma di Calvin Vlaanderen che tutto sommato non ha fatto una brutta prima stagione in 450! A breve, se il rumor è confermato, arriverà un altro pilota, attendiamo!

Il team Gebben Van Venrooy Yamaha Racing è lieto di annunciare che Calvin Vlaanderen ha firmato un accordo per rimanere con il team per partecipare al Campionato del Mondo MXGP 2021.
Dopo una forte carriera in MX2, Vlaanderen ha firmato con il team per la sua stagione da rookie nel campionato del mondo MXGP. Il 24enne non è entrato in piena forma in stagione dopo un infortunio che si preparava per il primo round a Matterley Basin, ma ha continuato a migliorare con il progredire della stagione e ha iniziato a combattere al fronte. I due Gran Premi di spicco per Vlaanderen quest’anno sono stati l’MXGP della Lombardia e l’MXGP del Limburg, con due settimi posti complessivi a dimostrare che ha il ritmo per correre al termine di una serie molto competitiva.
Vlaanderen e il team rivolgeranno le loro attenzioni alla stagione 2021 in quella che si prevede sarà una stagione ancora migliore per entrambe le parti durante il secondo anno di collaborazione. Oltre alla serie MXGP, Vlaanderen correrà anche con i Dutch Masters of Motocross a condizione che non si scontrino con il calendario del Gran Premio.
Il team annuncerà il secondo pilota a tempo debito.

Voglio ringraziare Ruud van Venrooy, Emile Gebben e Klaas Hattem per aver creduto in me e avermi dato tutto ciò di cui ho bisogno per raggiungere i miei obiettivi. Mi è piaciuto molto lavorare insieme a loro quest’anno. Siamo progrediti molto insieme come squadra con la moto ma anche con la mia guida e questo si è visto nei risultati. Non vedo l’ora di avere una forte preparazione invernale per essere pronto al 100% per il 2021. Non vedo l’ora che arrivi la nuova stagione con la squadra “.

The Gebben Van Venrooy Yamaha Racing team are delighted to announce that Calvin Vlaanderen has inked a deal to stay with the team to contest the 2021 MXGP World Championship.
After a strong MX2 career, Vlaanderen signed with the team for his rookie season in the MXGP World Championship. The 24-year-old did not come into the season fully fit after an injury preparing for round one at Matterley Basin, but he continued to improve as the season progressed and started to battle at the front. The two stand out Grands Prix for Vlaanderen this year were the MXGP of Lombardia and the MXGP of Limburg, with two seventh-place overall finishes to show he has the pace to run at the sharp end of a very competitive series.
Vlaanderen and the team will turn their attentions to the 2021 season in what is anticipated to be an even better season for both parties during the second year working together. As well as the MXGP series, Vlaanderen will also race the Dutch Masters of Motocross provided they don’t clash with the Grand Prix calendar.
The team will announce the second rider in due course.
