Yamaha Motor Europe inserisce Thibault Benistant nel team Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2
Yamaha Motor Europe è lieta di annunciare che Thibault Benistant si unirà al team Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 per la stagione 2021. Il campione EMX250 recentemente incoronato correrà con una YZ250FM nel Campionato del mondo FIM MX2 insieme a Jago Geerts e Maxime Renaux.
Risalendo la piramide Yamaha Racing, Benistant ha aperto la strada al Campionato del Mondo MX2 con titoli sia in EMX125 che in EMX250. Ha vinto il campionato EMX125 nel 2018 a bordo di una YZ125 equipaggiata con GYTR ed è stato un contendente per il titolo EMX250 l’anno successivo al suo primo tentativo. Durante la sua stagione da rookie, Benistant ha festeggiato un podio nel suo round di casa in Francia e ha portato la sua YZ250F al quinto posto assoluto.
Rimanendo su una YZ250F equipaggiata con GYTR nel 2020, il diciottenne di Avignone è stato arruolato nel team ufficiale EMX250 di Hutten Metaal Yamaha e si è trasferito in Olanda per allenarsi vicino alla base del team. Realizzando il suo ovvio potenziale e dimostrando che il duro lavoro paga i suoi dividendi, Benistant ha celebrato otto vittorie di gare EMX250, sei vittorie e sette podi per assicurarsi il titolo EMX250 2020.
Come il nuovo campione europeo EMX250, Benistant farà il suo debutto in MX2 con il supporto del team ufficiale EMX250 di Hutten Metaal Yamaha a Lommel, in Belgio, domenica 25 ottobre.

Yamaha Motor Europe Drafts Thibault Benistant into Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team
Yamaha Motor Europe is pleased to announce that Thibault Benistant will join the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team for the 2021 season. The recently crowned EMX250 Champion will race a YZ250FM in the FIM MX2 World Championship alongside Jago Geerts and Maxime Renaux.
Working his way up the Yamaha Racing pyramid, Benistant has paved his way to the MX2 World Championship with titles in both EMX125 and EMX250. He won the EMX125 Championship in 2018 aboard a GYTR kitted YZ125 and was a contender for the EMX250 title the following year at his first attempt. During his rookie season, Benistant celebrated a podium finish at his home round in France and took his YZ250F to fifth overall.
Remaining on a GYTR kitted YZ250F in 2020, the 18-year-old from Avignon was drafted into the Hutten Metaal Yamaha Official EMX250 team and moved to Holland in order to train close to the team’s base. Realising his obvious potential and proving that hard work pays dividends, Benistant celebrated eight EMX250 race wins, six round wins and seven podium finishes on his way to securing the 2020 EMX250 title.
As the freshly crowned European EMX250 Champion, Benistant will make his MX2 debut with the support of the Hutten Metaal Yamaha Official EMX250 team in Lommel, Belgium on Sunday 25th October.
