Mitch Evans injures left wrist at Spanish GP
Mitch Evans del team HRC si è dovuto ritirare dalla prima gara dell’MXGP di Spagna a causa di un infortunio al polso sinistro, che ha subito mentre correva in quarta posizione. L’australiano ha valutato male un atterraggio ed è caduto in una posizione scomoda che lo ha costretto a staccarsi immediatamente dalla pista.
Peccato per Evans che si era sfidato al comando un paio di giri prima e si era qualificato al terzo posto nelle prove cronometrate. Questa forma sul circuito di Arroyomolino è stata una continuazione dei suoi recenti risultati che erano migliorati sin dal riavvio, culminando con un quinto miglior posto stagionale all’MXGP d’Europa a Mantova, in Italia, lo scorso fine settimana.
Il pilota della Honda CRF450RW riceverà ora un’ulteriore valutazione medica per conoscere l’entità del danno, che deciderà poi il suo piano per il resto della stagione.

Team HRC’s Mitch Evans had to retire from the first race at the MXGP of Spain due to a left wrist injury, which he sustained whilst running in fourth position. The Australian misjudged a landing and came down in an awkward position causing him to immediately pull off the race track.
It was a shame for Evans who had challenged for the lead a couple of laps earlier and had qualified in third place in the timed practice. This form at the Arroyomolino circuit was a continuation of his recent results which had been improving ever since the restart, culminating with a joint season-best fifth at the MXGP of Europe in Mantova, Italy last weekend.
The Honda CRF450RW rider will now get further medical assessment in order to know the extent of the damage, which will then decide his plan for the rest of the season.
