In vista del riavvio del campionato mondiale FIM MXGP 2020, Husqvarna Motorcycles è lieta di annunciare che Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing ha esteso il contratto con Arminas Jasikonis. Il pilota lituano rimarrà con la squadra per il terzo anno, fino alla fine del 2021. Jasikonis, che è entrato per la prima volta nel mondo delle corse MXGP nel 2016, continuerà a competere nella categoria MXGP sui macchinari Husqvarna FC 450 sotto l’occhio attento del team manager Antti Pyrhönen.
Attualmente si sta godendo la migliore forma della sua carriera fino ad oggi, Jasikonis occupa il settimo posto nella classifica della serie MXGP dopo essersi assicurato un podio al MXGP dei Paesi Bassi, il secondo round del campionato 2020.
Usando i tempi di fermo imposti per tornare a casa in Lituania, il 22enne ha mantenuto il suo programma di allenamento per non perdere la forma fisica. Tornando in competizione nel recente round due della serie nazionale di motocross Ceco a Kaplice, Arminas ha ottenuto un risultato 1-1.
Insieme al suo team, Arminas si sta attualmente preparando per il primo dei tre eventi consecutivi MXGP in Lettonia che segneranno il riavvio in agosto del campionato mondiale MXGP 2020.

Ahead of the restart of the 2020 FIM MXGP World Championship, Husqvarna Motorcycles is pleased to announce that Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing have extended their contract with Arminas Jasikonis. The Lithuanian rider is set to remain with the team for a third year, through to the close of 2021. Jasikonis, who first stepped into MXGP racing in 2016, will continue to compete in the MXGP category on Husqvarna FC 450 machinery under the watchful eye of team manager Antti Pyrhönen.
Currently enjoying the best form of his career to date, Jasikonis sits seventh in the MXGP series standings having secured a podium finish at the MXGP of The Netherlands, the second round of the 2020 championship.
Using the imposed downtime to return home to Lithuania, the 22-year-old maintained his training programme to ensure no loss of fitness. Stepping back into competition at the recent round two of the Czech National motocross series in Kaplice, Arminas secured a 1-1 result.
Together with his team, Arminas is currently preparing for the first of three consecutive MXGP events in Latvia that will mark the August restart of the 2020 MXGP World Championship.

Of course, we have to continue working hard but I am really motivated to get the results that Husqvarna, Rockstar, Antti and the team deserve.”

He’s super motivated for MXGP to start again and is in really good shape. Since he joined the team he has always been fully committed and this year things have really started to fall into place for him, which we can see in his results. We are all looking forward to seeing him battle for more podium results this year and hopefully some GP wins, too. Then, with more focused training and preparation, push for even more in 2021.”
