Il Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team annuncia con rammarico che Marvin Musquin ha subito un infortunio alla gamba che ha richiesto un intervento chirurgico e che mancherà l’intero campionato AMA Supercross 2020.
Musquin si è infortunato al ginocchio quando ha fatto un salto nella struttura di prova di KTM a Corona, in California, mentre si preparava per la prossima stagione di Supercross. È tornato in Francia questa settimana e ha subito con successo un intervento chirurgico per riparare il ginocchio sinistro e ora si concentrerà su un’intensa terapia per guarire adeguatamente nei prossimi mesi.
Musquin: “È difficile condividere questa notizia deludente. Sono stato davvero felice di tornare in sella alla moto dopo essere stato ferito alla fine della stagione del Motocross e aver iniziato ad allenarmi per il Supercross. Sfortunatamente, ho avuto un incidente sulla pista di prova della KTM e alla fine all’atterraggio di un salto ho avuto un impatto molto grande sulle mie gambe, ferendomi al ginocchio sinistro. L’ho fatto valutare da diversi medici ed è stato determinato che il mio ginocchio ha richiesto un intervento chirurgico. È una notizia devastante per me, poiché non vedevo davvero l’ora di gareggiare in Supercross, ma mi prenderò il tempo necessario per riprendermi correttamente, con l’obiettivo principale di tornare quando sono abbastanza forte per vincere le gare. ”
Team Manager Red Bull KTM, Ian Harrison: “Vogliamo che Marvin si prenda il tempo necessario per riprendersi completamente. È una parte importante del nostro programma e abbiamo un buon rapporto di lavoro, quindi comprendiamo quanto sia deludente per lui e per tutto il team. Siamo qui per supportarlo e non vediamo l’ora che ritorni alle corse quando sarà pronto al 100% “.

The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team regretfully announces that Marvin Musquin has sustained a leg injury that required surgery and he will miss the entire 2020 AMA Supercross Championship.
Musquin injured his knee when he cased a jump at KTM’s test track facility in Corona, California while preparing for the upcoming Supercross season. He returned to France this week and successfully underwent surgery to repair his left knee and will now concentrate on intense therapy to properly heal over the next few months.
Musquin: “It’s tough to share this disappointing news. I was really happy to be back on the bike riding after being injured at the end of the Motocross season and starting to train for Supercross. Unfortunately, I had an incident at the KTM test track and ultimately over-jumped a jump that had a very big impact on my legs when I landed, injuring my left knee. I had it evaluated by several doctors and it was determined that my knee required surgery. It’s devastating news to me as I was really looking forward to racing Supercross, but I will take the time needed to recover properly with my main focus being to return when I am strong enough to win races.”
Red Bull KTM Team Manager, Ian Harrison: “We want Marvin to take the time he needs to fully recover. He is a big part of our program and we have a good working relationship so we understand how disappointing this is for him and the whole team. We are here to support him and look forward to him making a return to racing when he is 100% ready.”
