JWR Yamaha Racing si separa da Kevin Strijbos
Dopo l’ultimo round del FIM Motocross World Championship 2019, JWR Yamaha Racing si è separato da Kevin Strijbos e lo ha rilasciato dal suo contratto con il team per consentirgli di concentrarsi sul proprio progetto per il prossimo Motocross delle Nazioni.
In una stagione di debutto da ricordare, il team ha corso con tre piloti di alto profilo nella classe MXGP, nonostante l’attuale situazione economica, che è stata davvero una testimonianza di tutti i membri della squadra affiatata. JWR ha supportato Strijbos durante gli alti e bassi di questa stagione e gli ha dato tutto ciò che ha chiesto per competere in MXGP e nel campionato svedese, anche rinunciando a vincere il titolo svedese MX1 per consentirgli di viaggiare in Cina. La squadra è entrata nella stagione con l’obiettivo di competere esclusivamente in Europa, con Kevin che ha scelto di andare in Turchia e Cina.
Il team vorrebbe ringraziare Kevin per il suo aiuto durante il loro primo anno nel paddock del Grand Prix e gli auguriamo ogni bene per il futuro, ma tutto il focus è ora sulla crescita del team nel 2020. Tutte le aspettative sono state superate quest’anno – con la consegna al team nei primi dieci risultati dopo alcune esibizioni di spicco dei debuttanti MXGP Anton Gole e Vsevolod Brylyakov – l’obiettivo è ora di migliorare ancora una volta nel 2020. JWR Yamaha è stata formata da Johan Westermark, un fan sfegatato del motocross, che voleva creare opportunità per i piloti di competere ai massimi livelli e implementare anche una struttura familiare di supporto che avrebbe permesso ai piloti di correre duro ma divertirsi.

JWR Yamaha Racing part ways with Kevin Strijbos
Following the final round of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship, JWR Yamaha Racing have parted ways with Kevin Strijbos and released him from his contract with the team to enable him to concentrate on his own project for the upcoming Motocross of Nations.
In a debut season to remember the team ran three high-profile riders in the premier MXGP class, despite the current economic situation, which was truly a testament to all members of the tight-knit squad. JWR have supported Strijbos throughout the ups and downs this season and given him everything he has asked for in order to compete in MXGP and the Swedish Championship, even forgoing winning the Swedish MX1 title in order to allow him to travel to China. The team entered the season with the objective of solely competing in Europe, with Kevin electing to go to Turkey and China.
The team would like to thank Kevin for his help during their first year in the Grand Prix paddock and wish him well for the future, but all focus is now on growing the team in 2020. All expectations were surpassed this year – with the team delivering top-ten results after some stand-out performances from MXGP rookies Anton Gole and Vsevolod Brylyakov – and the goal is to now improve on that again in 2020. JWR Yamaha was formed by Johan Westermark – a die-hard motocross fan – who wanted to create opportunities for riders to compete at the highest level and also implement a supportive family-based structure that would enable riders to race hard but have fun.

It has always been my dream to run a motocross team and to run three riders this year is a testament to the backing of our fantastic sponsors and the team personnel that we have.
