ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING EXTEND CONTRACT WITH ARMINAS JASIKONIS
Husqvarna Motorcycles è lieta di annunciare che Arminas Jasikonis ha firmato una proroga di un anno del suo attuale contratto con Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing. Questo nuovo accordo vedrà il lituano continuare a competere nella categoria MXGP fino alla fine della stagione 2020.
Il 21enne Jasikonis ha firmato con il team Rockstar Energy Husqvarna alla fine del 2018. In occasione del suo terzo anno intero di competizione nella classe MXGP, nel 2019, il pilota montato su Husqvarna FC 450 ha mostrato un grande potenziale, ottenendo un numero di top -cinque risultati di gara tra cui un terzo posto nella prima manche del GP di Lombardia. Nonostante una serie di piccoli incidenti abbiano ostacolato i suoi progressi, Arminas si trova al sesto posto assoluto nella classifica del campionato mondiale FIM MXGP con quattro round rimasti in gara. Jasikonis gareggerà ancora una volta insieme a Pauls Jonass nel 2020, sotto la guida esperta del team manager Antti Pyrhönen.
Jasikonis e Jonass non solo si allenano bene alle corse, ma si spingono a vicenda durante le competizioni e gli allenamenti, formando una squadra molto promettente che si concentra sul successo continuo durante la prossima stagione.

Certo, il 2019 non è stato l’anno migliore per me, alcuni errori hanno influenzato i miei risultati, ma sono contento dei miei progressi sulla moto e sono ansioso di fornire i risultati di cui so di essere in grado. Per il 2020, rimanere con lo stesso team toglie molta pressione – abbiamo già un ottimo set-up per le gare e una buona atmosfera all’interno del team. Non vedo davvero l’ora di continuare a migliorare e spero di ottenere alcuni risultati eccellenti “.

Nelle gare in cui è stato in grado di mostrare la sua reale velocità e potenzialità, i risultati sono stati eccellenti. Abbiamo imparato molto quest’anno sia in termini di punti deboli che di punti di forza e possiamo mettere in atto una strategia per lavorare su questi punti e sfidare per i primi tre posti in campionato il prossimo anno. Sia Arminas che Pauls lavorano molto bene insieme: lavorano sodo e stanno migliorando continuamente. Speriamo di portare a casa alcuni buoni risultati negli ultimi quattro round di questa stagione e quindi progettiamo di lavorare sodo per prepararci per il 2020. ”

21-year-old Jasikonis signed to the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team at the end of 2018. Marking his third full year of competition in the premier MXGP class in 2019, the Husqvarna FC 450 mounted rider has shown great potential, claiming a number of top-five race results including a third-place finish in the first moto at the GP of Lombardia. Despite a number of small crashes hampering his progress, Arminas lies sixth overall in the FIM MXGP World Championship classification with four rounds left to race. Jasikonis will once again compete alongside Pauls Jonass in 2020, under the expert guidance of team manager Antti Pyrhönen.
Jasikonis and Jonass not only get on well away from racing but push each other when competing and training, forming a highly promising team that is focused on continued success during the forthcoming season.

It feels great to know that the team believes in me and what I can achieve. Admittedly, 2019 has not been the best year for me, a few mistakes have affected my results, but I’m happy with my progress on the bike and I’m keen to deliver the results I know I’m capable of. For 2020, remaining with the same team takes a lot of pressure off – we already have a very good set-up for the races and a good atmosphere within the team. I’m really looking forward to continuing to improve and hopefully securing some top results.”
Antti Pyrhönen – Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing MXGP Team Manager: “Overall, we’re very happy with the progress and consistency Arminas has demonstrated this season. In the races where he has been able to show his real speed and potential, the results have been excellent. We have learned a lot this year in terms of both his weaker points and his strengths and we can put in place a strategy to work on these points and challenge for the top three places in the championship next year. Both Arminas and Pauls work very well together – they work hard and are improving all the time. We hope to bring home some good results in the last four rounds of this season and then plan to work hard to prepare for 2020.”
