IMOLA (Italia) 14 Agosto 2019 – Turno 15 della FIM Motocross World Championship 2019 sarà ad Imola, Italia questo fine settimana per il secondo anno di fila. La MXGP d’Italia si svolgerà presso il mondo storico, e famoso Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari che lo scorso anno ha ospitato la fase finale del Campionato MXGP.
Quest’anno il circuito eccezionale mostrerà alcune lievi modifiche che offriranno una straordinaria esperienza di corsa per piloti e spettacolo mozzafiato agli spettatori.
Potrebbe non essere l’ultima tappa del campionato, ma questo fine settimana la classe MXGP può festeggiare il suo campione, del Team HRC Tim Gajser che ha solo bisogno di 13 punti sul pilotaMonster Energy Yamaha Factory squadra MXGP Jeremy Seewer per prendere il suo terzo titolo. Mentre in MX2 Classe Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Jorge Prado si sta dirigendo verso Imola non solo con un impressionante stagione 2019 in tasca, ma con i bei ricordi dall’anno scorso quando ha vinto il suo primo titolo MX2 Campionato del Mondo.
Unire le classi MXGP e MX2 in Italia sarà la penultima gara del EMX2T e il Campionato WMX. Nel EMX2T è Mike Kras del Team Ecomaxx che ha la testa della classifica da Brad Anderson. Kras con 199 punti e Anderson con 197 punti mantengono il campionato ancora aperto e la battaglia è destinata a essere ancora una volta stretta tra i due rivali.
Nel frattempo, nel campionato WMX è di BIKE IT DRT Kawasaki Courtney Duncan che ha mostrato una velocità sorprendente nell’ultimo turno a Loket, dove è andata 1-1 per la vittoria. La sua leadership in campionato è ora di 14 punti di vantaggio su Nancy van de Ven. Un’altra solida performance con Duncan in Italia potrebbe rendere difficile per le donne olandesi a salire di nuovo in campionato.

In MXGP il team HRC Tim Gajser si aspetta che lo champagne scorra in Italia questo fine settimana, dovrebbe essere incoronato Campione del Mondo MXGP per la seconda volta nella sua carriera, mentre ha vinto un titolo anche in MX2 nel 2015. Gajser sembra inarrestabile, e la sua vittoria a Lommel per la prima volta ha dimostrato di poter vincere su qualsiasi superficie. Aspettiamo di vedere sollevare il trofeo sul podio davanti ai suoi fan adoranti sloveni.
Mentre Gajser si sta posizionando meglio che mai, il resto del campo è ancora da decidere, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Jeremy Seewer è secondo in campionato e che gli sarebbe piaciuto ottenere finalmente una vittoria GP e l’Italia potrebbe essere il posto giusto per farlo. Egli si allinea di sicuramente per un podio e un altro risultato di campionato runner-up, per andare con il suo secondo posto Campionato MX2 nel 2017.
Un altro pilota con un colpo per una vittoria GP di Imola sarà il compagno di squadra di Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Romain Febvre, che ha preso la sua prima vittoria al Gran Premio in Repubblica Ceca. Per Febvre sarà la prima volta ad Imola, ha perso il debutto della scorsa stagione a causa di un infortunio ma guardando quanto velocemente è stato nell’ultimo turno a Lommel non è in dubbio, può facilmente adattarsi a questa nuova pista anche se la superficie è diversa da quello a Lommel.
Naturalmente, Monster Energy Wilvo Yamaha ufficiale di MXGP Gautier Paulin è terzo in campionato e rimane uno degli artisti più solidi negli ultimi anni mentre il suo compagno di squadra Arnaud Tonus, che si trova a soli 6 punti di distacco dal francese è stato forte in questa stagione. Tonus ha mancato MXGP d’Italia lo scorso anno, mentre Paulin era 5° a Imola nel 2018.
Standing Construct team KTM Glenn Coldenhoff venuto fuori con ottime prestazioni a Lommel con il suo primo podio della stagione e senza dubbio sta cercando di mettere le gare solide insieme in Italia, come sarà il suo compagno di squadra Max Anstie che ultimamente ha annunciato che non sarà parte del team Standing Construct per la prossima stagione. Il compagno di squadra di Ivo Monticelli sta avendo una delle sue migliori stagioni quest’anno in particolare ai GP italiani, non vede l’ora di correre davanti al suo pubblico di casa.
Di Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki Alessandro Lupino, che è stato costretto a ritirarsi dal GP del Belgio a causa di qualche problema tecnico alla moto e il suo lento recupero dopo l’infortunio dal MXGP della Russia, sta per essere di nuovo a Imola appassionato di competere di fronte al suo pubblico di casa.

Mentre Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Jorge Prado non è suscettibile di essere incoronato campione MX2 il prossimo fine settimana, si può andare con la celebrazione una settimana dopo in Svezia. Ora 124 punti di vantaggio su Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Thomas Kjer Olsen, lo spagnolo è senza dubbio imbattibile, vincendo ogni singolo GP che ha guidato nel 2019, e probabilmente Imola non sarà diverso. Se questo è il caso, allora il suo secondo titolo mondiale MX2 è proprio dietro l’angolo, mentre Olsen, che era secondo al MXGP d’Italia nel 2018, ha avuto un GP difficile a Lommel, dopo una caduta in gara 1 e ha avuto per fortuna un po ‘di tempo per recuperare prima di Imola.
Per Jago Geerts sfortuna Monster Energy Kemea Yamaha ufficiale di MX2 a Lommel lo renderà motivato in Italia per recuperare. Uno dei pochi che sono stati in grado di mostrare a Prado una sconfitta quest’anno con 1 vittoria, ma il pilota belga non vuole solo ottenere di nuovo il podio, e molto presto, ma vorrà anche reclamare la sua terza posizione in classifica, lui è 3 punti dietro il MX2 rookie Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Tom Vialle che sta guidando a sorpresa in questa stagione su tutti i tipi di superfici.
Del Team HRC Calvin Vlaanderen sembrava buono l’ultimo gp a Lommel nei primi tre e salendo sul podio ancora una volta. Vlaanderen insieme di F & H Corsa Henry Jacobi e il suo compagno di squadra Adam Sterry erano sul podio a Lommel con Monster Energy Kemea Yamaha ufficiale Ben Watson MX2 che cercherà di migliorare la sua classifica di campionato.

Imola set for the MXGP of Italy!
IMOLA (Italy) 14 August 2019 – Round 15 of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship will head to Imola, Italy this weekend for the second year in a row. The MXGP of Italy will take place at the historic world famous Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari that last year hosted the final round of the MXGP Championship.
This year the outstanding circuit will show some slight changes which will offer an amazing racing experience to riders and breathtaking show to spectators.
It might not be the final stop of the Championship but this weekend the MXGP class may celebrate his Champion, Team HRC’s Tim Gajser only need to score 13 points over Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team’s Jeremy Seewer to take his third title. While in MX2 Class Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jorge Prado is heading to Imola not only with an impressive 2019 season in his pockets but with the good memories from from last year when he won his first MX2 World Championship title.
Joining the MXGP and MX2 classes in Italy will be thepenultimate rounds of the EMX2T Presented by FMF Racing and the WMX Championship. In the EMX2T Presented by FMF Racing it is Mike Kras from Team Ecomaxx Fuels who has the championship lead from Verde Substance KTM’s Brad Anderson. Kras with 199 points and Andersons with 197 points keep the championship still wide open and the battle is bound to be once again close between these two rivals.
Meanwhile, in the WMX championship it is BIKE IT DRT Kawasaki’s Courtney Duncan who showed amazing speed in the last round in Loket, where she went 1-1 for victory. Her championship lead is now 14 points ahead of Nancy van de Ven. Another solid performance by Duncan in Italy could make it difficult for the Dutch women to climb back into championship contention.
In MXGP Class Team HRC’s Tim Gajser expects the champagne to be flowing in Italy this weekend, as he should be crowned MXGP World Champion for the second time in his career, while he won a title also in MX2 in 2015. Gajser seems unstoppable, and his victory in Lommel for the first time proved he can win on any surface. Expect him to be lifted to the podium in front of his Slovenian adoring fans.
While Gajser is positioning better than ever, the rest of the field is yet to be decided, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team’s Jeremy Seewer is second in the championship and he would love to finally get a GP victory and Italy might be the place to do it. He lines up expecting nothing less than a podium and another runner-up championship result, to go with his MX2 Championship second place in 2017.
Another rider with a shot at a GP victory in Imola will be teammate Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team’s Romain Febvre, who took his first Grand Prix win in two years in Loket circuit in the Czech Republic. For Febvre is going to be the first time to be racing at Imola as he missed the last season’s debut due to an injury but looking how fast he was in the last round in Lommel is not in doubt he can easily adapt to this new track even if the surface is different than the one in Lommel.
Of course, Monster Energy Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP’s Gautier Paulin is third in the championship and remains one of the most solid performers in recent years while his teammate Arnaud Tonuswho sits just 6 points behind the Frenchman has been strong and focus this season. Tonus missed the MXGP of Italy last year while Paulin was 5thin Imola in 2018.
Standing Construct KTM team’s Glenn Coldenhoff came off strong performances in Lommel with his first podium of the season and with no doubt he is looking to put solid races together in Italy, as will his teammate Max Anstie who lately announced he’ll not be part of Team Standing Construct for next season. Teammate Ivo Monticelli has one of his best seasons this year especially at the Italian GPs, he is looking forward to racing in front of his home crow.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing riders Pauls Jonass and Arminas Jasikonis are sitting 10thand 6thin the Championship standings respectively with Jonass, who saw some ups-and-downs this season, is approaching the Imola circuit for the first time as he missed it last year in MX2 class while Jasikonis, who showed some of his best results this season, is keen on repeating his solid performance of Lommel.
Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki’s Alessandro Lupino, who was forced to withdraw from the Belgian GP due to some technical issue at the bike and his slow recovery after the injury from the MXGP of Russia, is going to be back in Imola keen of competing in front of his home crowd.

While Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jorge Prado isn’t likely to be crowned MX2 champion this coming weekend, he can go a long way to setting up a World championship celebration a week later in Sweden. Now 124 points ahead of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team’s Thomas Kjer Olsen, the Spaniard is without question unbeatable, winning every single GP he has ridden in 2019, and likely Imola won’t be any different. If that is the case, then his second MX2 World title is just around the corner while Olsen, who was second at the MXGP of Italy in 2018, had a difficult GP in Lommel after a crash in race 1 and he had luckily some time to catch up before Imola.
For Monster Energy Kemea Yamaha Official MX2’s Jago Geerts bad luck in Lommel will make him motivated in Italy to recover. One of the few who have been able to show Prado a defeat this year with 1 race win, but the Belgian rider will not only want to get on the podium again, and very soon but he will also wish to reclaim his third position in the standings as he’s not 3 points behind the MX2 rookie Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tom Vialle who is riding surprisingly this season on all types of surfaces.
Team HRC’s Calvin Vlaanderen looked good last round in Lommel making the top three and climbing the podium once again.
