PALEMBANG (Indonesia) 03 Luglio 2019 – MXGP con la bella regione di Sumatra, in Indonesia per la MXGP dell’Indonesia questo prossimo fine settimana, come il FIM Motocross World Championship 2019 prende un altro passo attorno al mondo.
I Round 11° e 12° del Campionato del Mondo FIM Motocross si svolgeranno in 2 diverse isole indonesiane, la prima tappa ha Palembang come città ospitante a fianco del famoso OPI Mall. Palembang, è la patria di oltre 1,7 milioni di persone ed è una delle più antiche città metropolitane in tutta l’Indonesia attirando migliaia di fan a partecipare.
Una pista nuova di zecca è stata creata in Palembang con 25.000 metri cubi di terreno importati. Il circuito di argilla fornisce un’esperienza unica e stimolante per i piloti e le squadre allo stesso modo che stanno cercando il miglior set-up per il fine settimana. L’Asia porta sempre qualcosa di diverso, con la sua gente accogliente e calda atmosfera che rendono il GP dell’Indonesia una delle tappe più emozionanti del calendario MXGP.

Del Team HRC Tim Gajser sembra inarrestabile, al momento, vincendo cinque GP di fila e si estende i suoi punti a 83 punti. Il campione del mondo (due volte) si dirigerà in Indonesia con il suo obbiettivo che rimane lo stesso, correndo concentrato e aumentando la sua leadership in campionato, fino ad ora che la strategia ha funzionato bene. Lo sloveno ha utilizzato per eseguire molto bene nelle gare d’oltremare e ha segnato 4° e 2° lo scorso anno ai turni indonesiani.
Pilota Red Bull KTM Factory Antonio Cairoli non ce la farà in Indonesia dopo la caduta in Lettonia tre settimane fa in cui è caduto nella seconda gara e ha slogato la spalla destra. Scansioni iniziali erano positive, ma il giunto continua ad essere doloroso e KTM ha appena confermato che non è ancora in condizione di tornare al cancello MXGP.
La battaglia per il terzo, quarto e quinto posto nei punti MXGP è eccitante, con un solo punto che separa tre piloti Yamaha. Cercando di prendere posizione in Indonesia sarà Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP piloti Romain Febvre e Jeremy Seewer. Seewer è terzo in campionato con 289 punti ed è finito due volte di fila sul podio dopo la sua vittoria indonesiana in classe MX2 nel 2017 in Pangkal Pinang.
Monster Energy Wilvo Yamaha ufficiale di MXGP Arnaud Tonus e Gautier Paulin sono saliti sul podio in Germania e senza ombra di dubbio cercheranno di continuare la loro caccia al campionato. Sono al quarto e quinto posto nei punti di serie con 288 punti e sono entrambi disposti a rafforzare le loro posizioni.

In MX2 Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Jorge Prado ha il controllo completo dell’azione, con nove GP vinti. Il pilota spagnolo sarà un favorito pesante in Indonesia, ma non stupitevi se alcuni piloti cercano di mettere una certa pressione su di lui. Avendo appena preso la decisione di passare a MXGP nel 2020 se vince il campionato MX2 di quest’anno, la pressione inizierà a salire appena Prado si avvicina al suo obiettivo di essere un campione MX2 per la seconda volta. Prado ha vinto il MXGP dell’Asia a Semarang lo scorso anno, mentre ha raggiunto solo il terzo posto del podio in Pangkal Pinang.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Thomas Kjer Olsen potrebbe avere un GP vittoria a suo nome nel 2019, ma che è stato quando Prado non ha corso al round britannico della serie a Matterley Basin ed è ancora appassionato per battere lo spagnolo. Olsen non ha mai raggiunto il podio durante i round indonesiani e sicuramente lui sarà in fila per ottenere questo traguardo.
Monster Energy Kemea Yamaha di MX2 Jago Geerts è l’unico pilota che è riuscito a battere Prado nel 2019 e si può essere sicuri che il bambino belga utilizzerà tutte le sue abilità tecniche per farlo intorno alla pista stretta e difficile a Palembang, mentre il suo compagno di squadra Ben Watson tornerà questo fine settimana dopo l’infortunio durante la MXGP della Germania e andrà in Indonesia con un’atmosfera positiva e la fiducia per migliorare la sua posizione in classifica MX2.
Per la Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Tom Vialle è il primo viaggio indonesiano e lui viaggia molto fiducioso dopo il suo terzo podio della stagione preso in Germania.
Del Team HRC Calvin Vlaanderen è impaziente per questo fine settimana, non solo perché mette la sua rimonta dopo aver perso gli ultimi GPS, ma con la volontà di replicare i suoi risultati quando ha vinto il suo primo GP nella classe MX2 alla GP dell’Indonesia in Pangkal Pinang.

MXGP set for Indonesian Rounds
PALEMBANG (Indonesia) 03 July 2019 – MXGP heads to the beautiful region of Sumatra in Indonesia for the MXGP of Indonesia this upcoming weekend, as the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship takes yet another step around the World.
Round 11th and 12th of the FIM Motocross World Championship will be held in 2 different Indonesian islands, the first stop has Palembang as host city alongside the popular OPI Mall. Palembang, is home to over 1.7 million people and is one of the oldest metropolitan cities in all of Indonesia attracting thousands of fans to attend.
A brand-new track has been created in Palembang with 25,000 cubic metres of soil imported. The clay circuit provides a very unique and challenging experience for riders and teams alike who are looking for the best set-up for the weekend. Asia always brings something different, with its welcoming people and warm atmosphere that make the MXGP of Indonesia one of the most exciting stops of the MXGP calendar.
Team HRC’s Tim Gajser looks unstoppable at the moment, winning five GPs in a row and extending his series points lead to 83 points. The two-time World champion will head into Indonesia with his goal remaining the same, racing smooth and increasing his championship lead, until now that strategy has worked well. The Slovenian used to perform very well in the overseas races and he scored 4th and 2nd last year at the Indonesian rounds.
Red Bull KTM Factory rider Antonio Cairoli will not make it to Indonesia after his crash in Latvia three weeks ago where he fell in the second race and dislocated his right shoulder. Initial scans were positive, but the joint continues to be painful and KTM just confirmed is not yet in a condition to return to the MXGP gate.
The battle for third, fourth and fifth places in the MXGP points is an exciting one, with just one point separating three Yamaha riders. Looking to make a stand in Indonesia will be the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team riders Romain Febvre and Jeremy Seewer. Seewer is third in the championship with 289 points and he is keen on lining up on Sunday to stand on the MXGP Podium after his Indonesian win in MX2 class in 2017 in Pangkal Pinang.

In MX2 Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jorge Prado has complete control of the action, with nine GPs wins from nine starts. The Spanish rider will be a heavy favourite in Indonesia, but don’t be surprised if some riders try to put some pressure on him. Having just made the decision to move up to MXGP in 2020 if he wins this year’s MX2 championship, the pressure will start to build as Prado gets closer to his aim to be a double MX2 champion. Prado won the MXGP of Asia in Semarang last year while he only reached the third spot of the podium in Pangkal Pinang.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Thomas Kjer Olsen might have a GP win to his name in 2019, but that was when Prado didn’t race at the British round of the series at Matterley Basin and he is still keen on beating the Spaniard straight up. Olsen has never reached a podium position during the Indonesian rounds and surely he’ll line up to get this milestone career.
Monster Energy Kemea Yamaha Official MX2’s Jago Geerts is the only rider who managed to beat Prado in 2019 and you can be sure the Belgian youngster will use all his technical skills to do so around the tight and tricky track in Palembang, while his teammate Ben Watson will return this weekend after his injury during the MXGP of Germany’s practice and will also go into Indonesia with a positive vibe and confidence to improve on his position in the MX2 standings.
For Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tom Vialle is the first Indonesian trip and he is traveling very confident after his third podium of the season taken in Germany.
Team HRC’s Calvin Vlaanderen is looking forward for this weekend, not only because it sets his comeback after he missed the latest GPs, but with the will to replicate his 2018 results when he won his first GP in MX2 class at the MXGP of Indonesia in Pangkal Pinang.
