Un altro weekend di gare, un altro di quelli deleteri per i GP, dove abbiamo visto molte cadute e altri infortuni come per Tony Cairoli, Jeffrey Herlings, ecc… Il 9° appuntamento sulla pista di Kegums in Lettonia, spietato anche a livello classifica che vede Tony Cairoli allontanarsi dalla leadership su un Tim Gajser non perfetto ma tenace nel lavorare su brutte situazioni dopo la caduta del sabato e vincere l’assoluta del GP, ora a più 33 e si va verso un altra gara nel prossimo weekend. Di seguito i loro commenti post gara, i vari link per vedere classifiche e aggiornamenti sugli infortuni in una di quelle pite decretata la più dura del Mondiale Motocross!

RIDERS PODIO MXGP
Tim Gajser: Sono davvero contento perché non mi aspettavo questo dopo la prestazione di ieri(Sabato in qualifica). Ho avuto il 18° tempo dopo un orribile incidente e non mi sentivo bene in quella prima manche. Non sono riuscito a trovare linee buone o un buon ritmo, quindi sono riuscito a finire sesto. Nella seconda gara ho avuto una partenza ancora migliore e, anche se ci sono voluti alcuni giri, sono passato in vantaggio con circa 10 minuti rimanenti. Sono davvero felice di aver vinto un altro overall e un grande ringraziamento a tutto il team che lavora così duramente, perché questo duro lavoro sta davvero dando i suoi frutti, quindi un grande grazie a tutti. Ci sono ancora molte gare da disputare, quindi continuerò ad andare in ogni GP cercando di divertirmi, dando il massimo e sperando di emergere e continuare a guidare questo campionato MXGP.
Romain Febvre: “Oggi andava bene, molto meglio di ieri(sabato). Ho fatto degli errori con l’assetto della moto ieri. L’abbiamo cambiato molto per oggi e mi sentivo meglio. La mia partenza non era lì, e ho faticato un po ‘. Avrei potuto finire quarto, ma ho avuto le braccia dure. Tony era di fronte a me e io non riuscivo a prenderlo. La seconda gara ho avuto un buon primo giro e ho mantenuto il mio momento. Nel mezzo della gara ho faticato nelle wave, ma ho potuto catturare i ragazzi davanti. Forse avevo bisogno di due o tre giri extra per prendere Tim. Pensavo di aver vinto la classifica generale, ma sono felice anche se un po ‘deluso. Non è passato molto tempo dal mio infortunio, quindi mi sento soddisfatto. ”
Arnaud Tonus: “”Ho avuto un buon feeling, all’inizio sono stato superato da Jeffrey e l’ho seguito, poi ho trovato delle buone battute ed è stato bello guidare. Ho avuto un buon vantaggio, ma Jeffrey mi ha passato e ha ottenuto la vittoria. Prenderò tutte le gare per imparare e migliorare. Devo essere felice. Certo, un po ‘frustrato, arrivando così vicino alla vittoria, continuerò a lavorare ed è bello essere sul podio, mi diverto molto. Il modo in cui stavo guidando oggi, è forse il migliore avuto in questi tipi di condizioni. Sono anni che cerco di lavorare su me stesso per gareggiare a questo livello e se guardi gli ultimi GP, sono super felice. Il mio meccanico mi ha detto che se avessi potuto passare Romain, avrei potuto vincere il GP, ma il tracciato era impreciso, e ho cercato di stare su due ruote.
RIDERS PODIO MX2
Jorge Prado: “Questo weekend è stato un po ‘basso per la squadra. Ci sono stati alcuni “UP” come la mia vittoria e il buon giro di Tom, ma poi Jeffrey e Tony si sono infortunati e sono sconvolto. Vorrei un recupero veloce per entrambi. Da parte mia è stato un fine settimana perfetto. Ho guidato ogni singola sessione, quindi molto bene. Il prossimo a Teutschenthal e l’anno scorso ho vinto lì. Grandi buche! Spero che possiamo allenarci bene questa settimana e concentrarci sull’obiettivo “.
Jago Geerts: “Inizio abbastanza buono, ma le prime tre curve mi sono un po ‘incasinato, ho provato a fare tutto quello che potevo fare per superare Thomas e sono davvero contento del weekend. Mi sentivo bene in pista oggi. Non avevo il miglior cancello, che era piuttosto difficile su una pista come questa, ma mi sentivo bene e sono tornato forte e sono riuscito a tornare al secondo posto. Sono felice di questo risultato.
Thomas Kjer Olsen: “È stato un GP estremamente positivo, ma anche un po ‘frustrante. Un altro risultato complessivo sul podio è ottimo, ho fatto due ottime partenze e mi sono trovato secondo per così tanti giri in entrambe le manche. Quindi, mi sento come se dovessi avere il risultato generale del secondo classificato. Ho dato tutto la seconda manche per finire secondo, e ottenere il secondo posto, ma non doveva essere così. Sono frustrato perché non sono arrivato abbastanza lontano da Jago (Geerts). Ha guidato molto forte, ma ho anche avuto la sensazione di guida buona – veloce e costante, giro dopo giro. Un sacco di aspetti positivi da togliere al GP. ”
OTHER RIDERS
Tony Cairoli: “Sabato ho avuto l’influenza e la febbre, e il mio braccio non era forte come volevo dopo l’incidente in Russia. Ho potuto lottare con i ragazzi per la prima posizione nella prima manche ma poi mi sono un po ‘stancato e ho optato per il terzo posto, il che è stato positivo per il campionato. Nella seconda manche ero quarto e cercavo di seguire [Arnaud] Tonus. Ho avuto un brutto incidente e quando mi sono alzato ho sentito la spalla mancare. La mia speranza è di essere pronto per iniziare almeno la prossima settimana in Germania. Non voglio affatto mollare e voglio esserci il più possibile per il campionato “.
CAIROLI AND HERLINGS INJURED – PRADO EXTEND MX2 – GP LATVIA 2019!
Tom Vialle: “È stato un fine settimana speciale e una serie di condizioni: è stato complicato lavorare per la mia prima visita su questo tracciato ma sono contento del risultato. La mia velocità era buona e due solidi risultati e più esperienza per me. So che ho bisogno di più allenamento e prove nella sabbia per essere migliore su tutti i tipi di terreno per il prossimo anno. Teutschenthal sarà un altro nuovo posto per me, ma l’hard-pack sarà buono. ”
Brian Bogers: Oggi non è stato male perché sono riuscito a girarlo dopo essere caduto all’inizio della prima gara. Questo sicuramente non è il modo in cui vuoi iniziare le manches. Quel crash mi ha lasciato in fondo al campo, ma questo mi ha fatto desiderare di provare e nonostante abbia passato molti ragazzi all’inizio, sono rimasto bloccato dietro a un pilota e questo ha davvero fermato tutto il mio slancio. Sono passato dall’ultimo al 18° che è un paio di punti ma non proprio quello che volevo. Questo mi ha reso più concentrato per la seconda manche, dove ho avuto una partenza migliore ed ero intorno al 20°. Poi in quel primo giro sono riuscito ad arrivare fino al 12° ed è lì che sono rimasto per tutta la gara. Sono stato davvero contento della mia guida in quella manche perché ho mostrato una buona velocità nei primi 20 minuti. Ho spinto il più possibile e sono felice di ottenere un risultato solido e spero che questo possa continuare la prossima settimana a Teutschenthal.
Jeremy Seewer: “Ho avuto un fantastico weekend, probabilmente il migliore quest’anno anche se ero sul podio lo scorso fine settimana, ma non in questo fine settimana, ho comunque concluso con gli stessi punti e sono stato in grado di condurre molti giri che sono stati davvero fantastici. passato l’ultimo giro, ‘chapeau’ al mio compagno di squadra Romain, stava andando molto veloce nell’ultimo e siamo riusciti a prendere Gajser: è stata una grande battaglia e mi sono davvero goduto questo podio del weekend di manche. La Germania è una delle mie piste preferite, quindi sta andando bene al momento e voglio continuare a muovermi in questa direzione e lottare per altri podi “.
Gautier Paulin: “Ho avuto due grandi cadute nei precedenti due GP e questo ha influenzato le mie condizioni fisiche, quindi ho sentito che questo fine settimana è stato duro con i miei livelli di energia molto bassi. La Gara di Qualificazione non è stata positiva per me con due incidenti, ma anche con una cattiva scelta del cancello, la squadra mi ha dato una moto davvero buona, quindi sono riuscito a ottenere decenti partenze, ma oggi non mi sentivo al 100%. Per prendere gli aspetti positivi dalla giornata di oggi, ho avuto due gare consistenti senza incidenti, quindi costruirò su questo per tornare al livello in cui dovrei essere. ”
Pauls Jonass: “Per me è stato un GP di casa ricco di eventi. Alti e bassi, immagino che si possa dire. Sono contento della mia velocità e guidare davanti per alcuni giri nella gara di qualifica è stato grandioso, ma le cose non sono andate secondo il piano nella prima gara di oggi. Ho dato tutto ma ho perso molte posizioni quando sono caduto al primo giro. Mi sono schiantato di nuovo mentre combattevo con Coldenhoff, e dopo la gara avevo bisogno di alcuni punti di sutura sul mio sopracciglio. E ‘stato difficile. La seconda gara è andata molto meglio, sono contento che il GP sia terminato con un buon risultato. Lavorare in avanti con alcuni buoni passaggi per finire appena fuori dai primi cinque è buono. La mia velocità è arrivata adesso e mi sento davvero bene su una 450 – Mi sento sempre più forte sulla moto in ogni GP, quindi non vedo davvero l’ora di mettere insieme tutti i pezzi durante le gare nella seconda metà di la stagione.”
Arminas Jasikonis: “Stamattina mi sono sentito molto bene nel warm-up e la prima gara è iniziata bene, ma non siamo riusciti a trasformare quella buona velocità nel forte risultato che speravamo. Dopo una qualifica così bella ieri, oggi è stato davvero frustrante per tutti i componenti del team. Ma sono le gare. So che la mia velocità era buona, il che è molto positivo, e correre in testa alla gara di qualificazione è stato grandioso. Le cose non hanno funzionato e ho faticato a trovare un buon ritmo nella seconda manche. ”
Julien Lieber: “Sono stato male questa settimana, quindi sapevo che sarebbe stato difficile, ma quando un altro pilota mi ha colpito all’inizio della prima manche è peggiorato quando siamo caduti e ho avuto dolore al gomito; Non avevo sensibilità alla mano, ma ho fatto alcuni giri prima che mi schiantassi di nuovo e mi sono ritirato. La seconda partenza è stata migliore ma è stato difficile trovare un buon ritmo e ho solo cercato di ottenere dei punti; Mi aspetto di più in Germania, dove di solito ho un buon feeling. ”
Tommy Searle: “Abbiamo lavorato con il team nella giusta direzione e sono arrivato qui aspettandomi un solido weekend. La prima gara è andata bene con l’undicesima e penso che avrei potuto ripeterlo nella seconda ma all’inizio un paio di piloti si sono trovati di traverso davanti a me e non avevo un posto dove andare; è stato un duro incidente. Sono stato sbalzato via e ho battuto la testa e la spalla, ma per la Germania tutto andrà bene. Riesco a vedere tutti gli sforzi fatti dalla squadra ed è stato molto meglio con la moto “.

CAIROLI E HERLINGS INFORTUNATI – GAJSER ALLUNGA – GP of LATVIA 2019 – KEGUMS – Results and Points!
RIDERS PODIO MXGP
Tim Gajser: I’m really happy because I really didn’t expect this after yesterday’s performance. I had 18th gate pick after a horrible crash and I wasn’t feeling great in that first moto today either. I couldn’t find good lines or a good rhythm so I was only able to finish sixth. In the second race I had an even better start and although it took a few laps, I passed my way into the lead with about 10 minutes remaining. I’m really happy to win another overall and a big thanks to all of the team who work so hard, because that hard work is really paying off so a big thanks to everyone. Still there are a lot of races to go so I will continue to go into each GP trying to have fun, giving my best and hoping to come out on top and remain leading this MXGP championship.
Romain Febvre: “I finished on the same points as the overall winner, so I am happy but disappointed at the same time. This weekend didn’t start so well, I didn’t feel comfortable on the track yesterday, but it was much better today. I made some changes to my bike and I really want to thank my team Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP for the work they are putting in. It has not been long since my injury and I have already been on the podium twice, so I am happy with that.”
Arnaud Tonus: “I have to be happy with this weekend. It is a bit frustrating to come this close to the win. We fight hard for this, so to be on the same points as the winner but miss it is tough. We will keep working. It still feels great to be on the podium, so I need to thank my team and all of the people around me. I will enjoy this podium finish a lot and keep fighting for the win in the future.”
RIDERS PODIO MX2
Jorge Prado, ““This weekend was a bit down for the team. There were some ‘ups’ like my victory and the good ride by Tom but then Jeffrey and Tony getting injured is upsetting. I wish a speed recovery for both of them. From my side it was a perfect weekend. I headed every single session, so really good. Teutschenthal next and I won there last year. Big ruts! Hopefully we can train well this week and keep focussed on the goal.”
Jago Geerts: I felt good on the track today. I didn’t have the best gate pick, which was quite difficult on a track like this, but I felt good and came back strong and managed to get back to second. I am happy with that result.
Thomas Olsen: “It’s been a hugely positive GP, but also a little frustrating. Another overall podium result is great, I got two really good starts and held second for so many laps in both motos. So, I feel like I should have got the overall runner-up result. I gave the second moto everything to finish second, and get second overall, but it wasn’t to be. I’m frustrated because I didn’t get far enough ahead of Jago (Geerts). He rode really strong, but I also felt like I rode well – fast and consistent, lap after lap. Lots of positives to take away from the GP.”
OTHER RIDERS
Tony Cairoli: ““On Saturday I had the Flu and a fever, and my arm was not as strong as I wanted after the crash in Russia. I could battle with the guys for first position in the first moto but then I got a bit tired and settled for third, which was good for the championship. In the second moto I was fourth and trying to follow [Arnaud] Tonus. I had quite a big crash and when I stood up I felt my shoulder was out. My hope is to be ready to at least start next week in Germany. I don’t want to give up at all and I want to be there as much as possible for the championship.”
Gautier Paulin: “I have had two big impacts at the previous two GPs, and this has affected my physical condition, so I felt this weekend was tough with my energy levels being very low. The qualifying race was not good for me with two crashes but, even with a bad gate-pick, the team have given me a really good bike, so I managed to get decent starts, but I just did not feel one hundred percent today. To take the positives away from the day today, I had two consistent races with no crashes. I will build on this to get back to the level where I should be.”
Julien Lieber: “I have been sick this week so I knew it would be tough, but when another rider hit me at the start of the first moto it got even worse as we crashed and I had pain in my elbow; I had no feeling in the hand but I did a few laps before I crashed again and retired. The second start was better but it was tough to find a good rhythm and I just tried to secure some points; I’m expecting more in Germany where I have usually a good feeling.”
Tommy Searle: “We have been working with the team in the right direction and I came here expecting a solid weekend. The first race went OK with eleventh and I think I could have repeated that in the second one but at the start a couple of riders got sideways right in front of me and I had no place to go; it was a hard crash. I was winded a little and I hit my head and shoulder but everything will be OK for Germany. I can see all the efforts the team has put in and it was a lot better with the bike.”
Jeremy Seewer: “I had an amazing weekend, probably the best this year even though I was on the podium last weekend but not this weekend. I still finished on the same points and I was able to lead a lot of laps which was really cool. I got passed on the last lap, ‘chapeau’ to my teammate Romain, he was riding really fast on the last and we were able to catch Gajser. It was a great battle and I really enjoyed this weekend podium or not. I am really looking forward to Germany, it is one of my favourite tracks, so it is going well at the moment and I want to keep moving in this direction and fighting for more podiums.”
Vsevolod Brylyakov: “This weekend was not an easy one. Both starts were terrible for me, but I tried to make my way up. I had an easy crash on lap one in the first race and lost many positions, so could not get myself into a rhythm and finished twenty-first. The second moto was a lot better. I made some passes in the first laps, then rode really good in the beginning. I made a small mistake, so dropped from fourteenth to outside the top twenty, but built myself up again. I was happy with the second moto. That was the highlight. I am looking forward to Germany now.”
Kevin Strijbos: “It was not a great weekend. We somehow had bike issues the whole weekend and could not solve it. In the qualifying race it just stopped on the last lap, but I could make it to the finish. In the first moto I was trying and trying, but I knew something was wrong because my bike was not performing as it normally would. It is a pity, because I liked the track and was looking forward to doing well. Let’s focus on next weekend.”
Anton Gole: “It was hard to find a good feeling on Saturday, but today everything was flowing much better. I was in fourteenth place in the first heat, when I had an issue and needed to stop, and then I had the same good feeling in the second heat. I was in sixteenth place, with around ten minutes left, when I made a pretty big crash on a jump. I still got up quite quickly and managed to charge into nineteenth place. I am happy with the day, overall, even though it did not really go as planned.”
Brian Bogers: It wasn’t too bad today as I was able to turn it around after I crashed in the start of the first race. That definitely isn’t how you want to begin the motos. That crash left me at the back of the field, but that made me want to try too hard and although I passed a lot of guys to begin with, I got held up behind one rider and that really halted all my momentum. I went from completely last to 18th which is a couple of points but not really what I wanted. This made me extra focused for the second heat where I had a better start and was around 20th. Then in that first lap I was able to get up into 12th and that’s where I stayed for the whole race. I was really happy with my riding in that moto because I showed some good speed in the first 20 minutes. I pushed as much as I could and I’m happy to get one solid result and I hope this can continue next week in Teutschenthal.
