Un altro weekend di gare, il terzo dei tre di seguito in una pista tecnica e difficile sia il Sabato che la Domenica, il caso del cancello era rinomato e ha condizionato la seconda manche della 450 dove Tony Cairoli è rimasto bloccato dietro al cancello, poi in recupero ha fatto troppi errori, mentre Tim Gajser centra il secondo successo di fila con un altra doppietta, dimostra che anche lui punta al titolo, ora il duello si fa serio perchp tra i due il distacco è di soli 10 punti, mentre il terzo che è Gautier Paulin è a 93 punti dalla vetta, così è concluso il GP in Francia, ma eccovi TUTTI i commenti dei piloti a podio o in gara!

RIDERS PODIO MXGP
Tim Gajser: Sono davvero felice di come sono andati entrambi i giorni. Mi stavo divertendo in pista e, anche se in alcuni punti era rovinata e approssimativa, era comunque divertente correre. Nella prima gara, ho impiegato un po ‘di tempo per passare davanti a me i ragazzi prima di ottenere il comando e creare un varco per controllare la gara. Nella seconda manche ho toccato il cancello e sono quasi sono passato sopra al manubrio all’inizio, ma ho recuperato e vicino alla parte posteriore. Ho fatto alcuni passaggi per arrivare vicino alla vetta e poi mi sono accasato per un paio di giri al terzo prima di fare uno strike e uscire in vantaggio. Sono davvero felice di come stanno andando le cose in questo momento e spero di continuare questo slancio in Russia. Mi sto divertendo in moto e mi diverto a lavorare con il resto del Team HRC. Abbiamo un ottimo ambiente che mi sta aiutando in questa stagione ed è davvero una bella sensazione vincere queste gare e premiare lo sforzo che tutti stanno facendo.
Arnaud Tonus: “Sono molto felice, sono molto grato per tutto, grazie al mio team, alla Yamaha e per tutti quelli che mi stanno dietro, voglio solo continuare così”.
Romain Febvre: “È stata una lunga strada verso il podio, non mi sento ancora al 100% perché ho ancora un po ‘di dolore alla caviglia e non ho avuto molto tempo in sella, la mia velocità non è poi così male, Sono abbastanza sorpreso, ma la gara in sé è molto dura, soprattutto perché sono stato malato tutta la settimana con la febbre e non ho potuto allenarmi. Un holeshot nella seconda gara ha reso la corsa molto più facile, quindi ho solo provato a godermi il mio tempo in pista perché mi mancava un po ‘di forma fisica e ho fatto una buona prestazione per finire sul podio. ”
RIDERS PODIO MX2
Jorge Prado: “Questo è stato un GP duro. Ho dovuto spingere entrambe le manche. Mi sono rilassato un po ‘negli ultimi giri, ma ho sentito che tutto era sotto controllo fino a quando non ho preso il solco sbagliato sul traguardo, saltando nella prima gara. Ho caricato e ho provato a fare un passaggio nell’ultimo giro. Non potevo farlo accadere ed ero un po ‘frustrato ma sono tornato nel secondo e ho vinto. Si è rivelato un buon fine settimana con più punti per il campionato e un gap maggiore. ”
Jago Geerts: “È stato un buon fine settimana per me, non ho avuto un ottimo inizio nella prima manche ma sono riuscito a conquistare un paio di posizioni nelle prime curve, al terzo giro sono entrato in seconda posizione e sono riuscito per avvicinarmi a Prado, fare un passaggio e vincere la gara, certo, ero davvero contento di questo, nella seconda gara era quasi lo stesso del primo, ma ho fatto un piccolo errore e ho perso un po ‘di tempo, ma ancora finito secondo per secondo nel complesso. ”
Thomas Kjer Olsen: “A parte il fatto che ho reso le cose difficili per me nella seconda manche è stato un buon GP per me. Sono contento di come ho fatto per salire sul podio con il mio secondo risultato. La pista era buona – l’hanno lavorata meno degli anni precedenti, quindi era abbastanza costante ovunque, solo con alcuni solchi insidiosi. Ho avuto una partenza decente nella prima manche e ho corso una gara forte. Terzo era il mio passo – non avrei potuto prendere i due piloti in testa, quindi il terzo era buono. Mi ha fatto piacere. Immagino che il cancello abbia un po ‘rovinato la seconda manche e ho avuto un inizio orribile, in 12ª o 13ª posizione. Ho spinto molto dopo. Volevo finire sul podio quindi ho dato tutto ciò che avevo. Continuerò a lavorare ora che abbiamo un weekend senza un GP. La Russia è una pista divertente quindi non vedo l’ora di correre lì “.
OTHER RIDERS
Antonio Cairoli: “Un weekend cominciato male per la caduta del sabato, questa mattina ero un pò dolorante (Domenica mattina), ho girato anche la caviglia, fortunatamente solo botte e nulla di preoccupante. Sapevo che Tim (Gajser) qui su questo terreno va bene ed è veloce ho provato a stargli dietro in gara 1 anche se non ero al 100% e provare ad attaccare in gara 2, Il problema è che in questa pista c’è il cancello che non cade bene in tutti i punti, non cadono insieme, devi scegliere quello giusto ma avendo il 14° tempo potevo fare poco, la prima manche ho avuto fortuna di prenderne uno giusto, nella seconda ne ho preso uno sbagliato ed è sceso male e sono rimasto dietro il cancello, questo problema ha condizionato la gara. Ho dovuto rimontare ma dovevo stare attento, memore di gare passate, avevo rimontato bene da ultimo ad 11°, cercando un sorpasso ho sbagliato e sono caduto finendo dietro con la leva della frizione piegata…Sono un pò deluso perchè queste cose non dovrebbero accadere il un campionato così importante come il Mondiale Motocross, un pò di problemi che non devono capitare, questa non è certo la gara che mi aspettavo, ma impariamo dagli errori – sto ancora imparando a quasi 34 anni – e cercherò di salire di nuovo sul podio al prossimo GP guardo il lato positivo e cercheremo di stare più concentrati possibile perla gara in Russia.”
Clement Desalle: “Sono rimasto un po ‘deluso dalla prima gara; Mi ero trasferito in quarta posizione quando ho commesso un piccolo errore in una curva veloce; in effetti ho colpito una gamba e il ginocchio alcune curve prima e ho commesso l’errore perché non ero abbastanza concentrato. Ho iniziato la seconda manche con un pollice dolorante dopo che una pietra lo ha colpito durante la prima gara, ma ho fatto una buona partenza e sono arrivato terzo durante la prima parte della gara fino a quando Gajser mi ha superato. Julien Lieber: “È stato un giorno molto migliore dopo lo schianto di Paulin ieri: stamattina il mio collo era dolente quando ho toccato il terreno con la testa piuttosto duramente e oggi ho sofferto tutto il giorno, non è stata una giornata facile, ma non mi arrendo mai e dopo la prima manche mi sono concentrato sul mio recupero, non avevo un buon salto dopo l’incidente di ieri ma la seconda partenza era decente nella top ten, ho superato alcuni ragazzi velocemente e ho guidato tutta la gara dietro Paulin: il sesto posto nel GP non è poi così male, ma so che senza l’incidente di ieri sarebbe stato ancora meglio “.
Mitchell Evans: Ho avuto un fantastico weekend qui in Francia. Mi sono sentito davvero bene nelle prove cronometrate e qualificato in terza, che è il migliore quest’anno – e poi sono arrivato quarto nella gara di qualifica. Ho faticato con la rotazione delle gomme sul cancello di partenza in gara uno, quindi ho dovuto tornare da molto lontano. Sono arrivato fino al settimo posto nella prima manche, ma ho fatto molti passaggi al primo giro in gara due. Ho provato ad arrivare fino al terzo, ma non sono riuscito a farlo, quindi ho dovuto accontentarmi del quarto posto. È stato bello essere in una squadra francese in Francia. Anche una parte della folla stava tifando per me. Sembrava un GP di casa ed è stato fantastico. Sono contento del quarto posto assoluto. E ‘stato un buon fine settimana La mia velocità è buona e sono contento della mia guida e non vedo l’ora che arrivi la Russia.
Zachary Pichon: Questo è stato un grande fine settimana per me rispetto ai precedenti round. Ho avuto due cose positive, sono arrivato terzo alla prima curva e sono riuscito a rimanere tra i primi dieci. Poi ho bloccato la moto e ho perso un sacco di tempo e ho finito la gara in undicesima, ma questo è il mio miglior risultato di sempre, quindi è stato grandioso. Poi nella seconda manche ero al 12 ° posto da molto tempo, ma negli ultimi giri mi sentivo molto stanco e avevo un po ‘di dolore alla spalla e la pista era molto dura. Ci è voluto del tempo per trovare la migliore configurazione, ma alla fine l’abbiamo trovata e mi sono sentito davvero bene con la moto. Sono contento del mio dodicesimo risultato complessivo. Jeremy Seewer: “Un altro weekend positivo, mi sento sempre meglio in sella alla moto, ho fatto una buona prima gara e sono arrivato quarto e poi in gara 2, Cairoli ha centrato il cancello alla grande e poi quando il cancello è caduto è tornato indietro e sono comunque riuscito a tornare all’ottavo posto che era buono, e sono stato quinto nel complesso, che è sempre il mio obiettivo, ma ancora un peccato perché la mia velocità avrebbe potuto farmi mettere meglio questo weekend. Continuerò a lavorare duro e guarderò in avanti verso la Russia. ”
Gautier Paulin: “Ho fatto una buona partenza nella prima gara, e non sono sicuro di essere stato colpito o di aver colpito la mia moto, ma ho perso il freno anteriore e su una pista come Saint Jean d’Angely è difficile guidare senza, era quasi impossibile prendere i solchi, quindi mi sono schiantato un paio di volte mentre cercavo di trovare un modo per andare in moto in questo modo. Era difficile ma non volevo fermarmi perché in questa fase i punti sono davvero preziosi, quindi ho recuperato quello che potevo. Nell’ultima gara ero quinto che non è neanche dove voglio essere. Non ero davvero contento della mia guida questo weekend o del risultato nel mio GP di casa, quindi mi limiterò a muovermi al prossimo. ”
Pauls Jonass: “Un GP da dimenticare per me, il che è un peccato dopo due GP molto positivi prima di questo. Non iniziare bene nella prima manche ha reso le cose difficili durante la prima parte della gara, ma ho fatto dei buoni passaggi e ho lavorato il più forte possibile per entrare nella top-10. A pochi giri dal traguardo ho pensato che non c’era qualcosa di giusto con la mia ruota anteriore, quindi mi sono fermato. Risultò che tutto andava bene, ma quella fu la fine della mia corsa. Come altri piloti, ho colpito il cancello nella seconda manche. Non sono sicuro di cosa sia successo, ma visto che diversi piloti hanno fatto lo stesso, penso che qualcosa non fosse proprio come avrebbe dovuto essere. Dopo ho avuto molto lavoro da fare. Certamente non i risultati o punti di campionato che stavo cercando. Ma imparerò da quello che è successo e passerò alla prossima gara. ”
Adam Sterry: “Finalmente ho superato i primi giri senza che qualcuno si schiantasse davanti a me! Ad essere onesti non mi sono mai sentito a mio agio su questa pista, ma oggi ho avuto due buone partenze; il cancello ha avuto una strana reazione mentre si muoveva leggermente prima di cadere definitivamente, ma ho reagito perfettamente e ho quasi ottenuto l’holeshot nella seconda gara. Due buone partenze erano la chiave; Ho spinto durante i primi giri ogni volta e poi ho provato a guidare due gare solide. Sono molto contento dei miei risultati; il miglior GP MX2 della mia carriera. Il prossimo fine settimana abbiamo una gara di campionato olandese, e continueremo a migliorare per essere pronti per la Russia “.
Henry Jacobi: “Il sabato è stato abbastanza buono; Ho fatto una gara abbastanza facile con una buona partenza per finire terzo. Oggi il cancello si è sentito strano ma non so perché; Avevo davvero paura di colpire il cancello e ho avuto due brutte partenze. Nella prima gara sono tornato al quinto, poi ho avuto un piccolo incidente per finire ottavo ma non è quello che volevo. Nella seconda gara ho fatto dei buoni giri ed ero dietro ad Adam quando ho perso il controllo della mia moto su una grande discesa. Mi sono schiantato davvero duramente e ho perso un sacco di tempo; quando sono tornato in gara sono tornato diciassettesimo fuori dai primi venti. I risultati sono dolorosi per il campionato, ma è così che va a volte. ”
Arminas Jasikonis: “Settimo e undicesimo non è quello che speravo qui in Francia, ma ho mostrato una buona velocità. Alla prima manche mi mancava un po ‘all’inizio, ma sentivo di essere sempre in grado di catturare i piloti e continuare ad andare avanti. L’inizio della seconda manche è stato strano. Il cancello sembrava rimbalzare, l’ho colpito ma l’ho superato e il mio dispositivo di avvio è stato sbloccato. Ho avuto una brutta partenza e ho spinto il più possibile per fare passaggi nei primi giri. Alcuni sorpassi hanno funzionato, altri no, ma in generale sono riuscito a superare i giri iniziali in buona forma e ho continuato a lavorare con buoni tempi sul giro. Ho avuto un piccolo sorpasso a pochi giri dalla fine, il che è stato frustrante. Non i risultati che volevo ma la mia velocità era buona, quindi ci sono dei lati positivi che posso portare via da questo GP “.
Brian Bogers: Non è andata bene come speravo andasse oggi. Non ho ottenuto il miglior avvio in gara uno e sono caduto. Stavo guidando contro me stesso e ho fatto molti errori. Sicuramente non è stata un’esperienza piacevole là fuori. In gara 2 ho avuto una partenza migliore ed ero intorno al 13 ° e mi sono sentito molto meglio. Purtroppo ho spento la moto e perso un paio di posizioni, quindi non mi ha aiutato, ma la guida è sembrata molto meglio della prima gara e penso che i miei tempi erano buoni, anche se il risultato finale non era quello che cercavo, io spero ancora di poterlo usare per costruire la prossima gara in Russia.
Alessandro Lupino: “Il Gran Premio è stato abbastanza positivo . Sabato mi sentivo bene ed ho sempre girato ad un buon ritmo. Nella prima manche mi sono divertito parecchio: sono partito davanti, guidavo bene e sono stato in grado di terminare in ottava posizione. Nella seconda io ed altri 4/5 piloti abbiamo dovuto fare i conti con la sfortuna perché il cancello di partenza ha avuto un malfunzionamento e ci siamo rimasti sotto. Sono partito tra gli ultimi ma ho spinto al massimo per provare a rimontare. Purtroppo al quarto giro sono caduto ed ho perso altro tempo. Sono contento perché la mia velocità in questa gara è sempre stata buona e credo che nel complesso ho passato un fine settimana positivo.”

RIDERS PODIO MXGP
Tim Gajser: I’m really happy how both days went. I was having fun on the track and even though it was rough and sketchy in some places, it was still enjoyable to race on. In the first race, I took a little time to pass the guys in front of me before getting the lead and making a gap to control the race. In the second moto I clipped the gate and almost went over the handlebar off the start but I recovered and near the back it felt like. I made some passes to get near the front and then settled for a couple of laps in third before making a strike to get out front. I’m just really happy how things are going at the moment and I hope to continue this momentum into Russia. I am having fun on the bike and I am enjoying putting in the work with the rest of Team HRC. We have a great environment that is helping me this season and it is such a great feeling to win these races and reward the effort that everyone is putting in.
Arnaud Tonus: “I am super happy. I am very thankful for everything. Thankful for my team, for Yamaha, and everyone who has stood behind me, I just want to keep going this way.”
Romain Febvre: “It’s been a long road back to the podium. I still don’t feel 100% because I still have some pain in my ankle and have not had a lot of time on the bike. My speed is not so bad, I am quite surprised, but the racing itself is very tough, especially because I was sick all week with a fever and could not train. A holeshot in the second race made race much easier, so I just tried to enjoy my time on the track because I was missing some fitness, and I put in a good performance to end up on the podium.”
RIDERS PODIO MX2
Jorge Prado: This was a tough one. I had to push both motos. I relaxed a bit in the last laps but I felt everything was under control until I took the wrong rut over the finish line jump in the first race. I charged hard and tried to make a pass on the last lap. I could not make it happen and was a bit frustrated but I came back in the second one and won. It turned out to be a good weekend with more points for the championship and a bigger gap.”
Jago Geerts: “It was a really good weekend for me. I didn’t actually get a great start in the first heat but managed to win a couple of places in the first few corners. On the third lap I got into second and managed to get closer to Prado, made a pass and won the race. Of course, I was really happy with that. In the second race, it was almost the same as the first, but I made a small mistake and lost some time, but still finished second for second overall.”
Thomas Kjer Olsen: “ “Apart from the fact that I made things difficult for myself in the second moto it’s been a pretty good GP for me. I’m pleased with how I worked my way forward to get on the podium with my second moto result. The track was good – they ripped it less than previous years, so it was pretty consistent everywhere, just with some tricky ruts. I got a decent start in the first moto and rode a strong race. Third was where my pace was – I wasn’t going to catch the two riders ahead, so third was good. I was pleased with that. I guess the gate bobbled a little in the second moto and I got a horrible start, down in 12th or 13th. I pushed hard after that. I wanted to finish on the podium so I just gave it all I had. I’ll keep working now that we have a weekend without a GP. Russia’s a fun track so I’m looking forward to racing there.”
OTHER RIDERS
Tony Cairoli: “It is not the best day but we take positive and that is some points. It felt like the whole weekend was a struggle right from that crash on the first corners of the Qualification Heat and getting run over by some riders. My ankle is not perfect it was pretty sore; this track is very slick and it is easy to put your foot on the ground. From 14th place I chose a good gate in the first moto but not in the second: some were dropping and some not. It seemed I had the last one of the forty to drop! I tried to come back fast through the group and it was going well actually but I crashed again while 11th and got hit again. I restarted and tried to get as many points as I could. We are looking for the next race now. We need to keep focussed. This was not the best race of the season but we learn from the mistakes – I’m still learning at almost 34 years old – and I will try to be on the podium again at the next race.”
Clement Desalle: “I was a little bit disappointed with the first race; I had moved into fourth position when I made a small mistake in a fast corner; in fact I hit my leg and my knee a few corners before and I made the mistake because I just wasn’t focused enough. I started the second moto with a painful thumb after a stone hit it during the first race, but I got a good start and was third during the first part of the race until Gajser passed me. But fourth was a decent result, even if I just missed the podium for the third weekend in a row! I hope I can recover from my knee this week and be back on the box very soon.”
Julien Lieber: “It was a much better day after the crash behind Paulin yesterday. My neck was sore this morning as I hit the ground with my head pretty hard and today I had pain all day long; it was not an easy day but I never give up and after the first moto I concentrated on my recuperation. I didn’t have a good gate pick after the crash yesterday but the second start was decent in the top ten; I passed a few guys quickly and rode the entire race behind Paulin. Sixth overall in the GP is not so bad, but I know that without the crash yesterday it would have been even better.”
Tom Vialle: “The whole weekend was a great experience, just a shame about that second moto. The first race was top! A really good climb to fourth place, then I started well in the second moto but fell on the first lap and lost a lot of time. Anyway, I’ll take the positive parts of this home GP and now onto Russia, which is a track I love.”
Jeremy Seewer: “Another positive weekend. I am feeling better and better on the bike. I had a good first race and finished fourth and then in Race 2, Cairoli hit the gate big time and then when the gate fell it bounced back and I got kicked. I still managed to get back to eighth which was good, and I was fifth overall which is always my goal, but still a bummer as my speed could have had me placed better this weekend. I will keep working hard and I look forward to Russia.”
Gautier Paulin: “I had a good start in the first race, and I am not sure if I was hit or a rock hit my bike, but I lost the front brake and at a track like Saint Jean d’Angely it is tough to ride without it. It was almost impossible to take the ruts, so I crashed a couple of times while trying to find a way to ride the bike like this. It was hard but I did not want to stop because at this stage the points are really precious, so I salvaged what I could. In the final race I was fifth which is not where I want to be either. I was not really happy with my riding this weekend or the result at my home GP, so I will just move to the next one.”
Pauls Jonass: “A GP to forget for me, which is a shame after two very positive GPs before this. Not getting a good start in the first moto made things difficult during the first part of the race, but I made some good passes and was working as hard as I could to get inside the top-10. With only a few laps to go before the finish I thought that there was something not right with my front wheel, so I stopped. It turned out that everything was fine, but that was the end of my race. Like some other riders, I hit the gate in the second moto. I’m not sure what happened but as several riders did the same I think something wasn’t quite as it should have been. After that I had a lot of work to do. Certainly not the results or championship points I was looking for. But I’ll learn from what happened and move onto the next race.”
Arminas Jasikonis: “Seventh and 11th isn’t what I’d hoped for here in France, but I showed some good speed. I was lacking a little at the start in the first moto but I felt like I was always able to catch riders and keep moving forwards. The start of the second moto was strange. The gate seemed to bounce, I hit it but got over it but my start device unlocked. I got a bad start and just pushed as hard as I could to make passes in the early laps. Some passes worked, others didn’t, but generally I got through the opening laps in pretty good shape and was working my way forward with some good lap times. I had a small slip-off with a few laps to go, which was frustrating. Not the results that I wanted but my speed was good so there’re positives I can take away from this GP.”
Kevin Strijbos: “The first moto did not go that great. I had a decent start but, when I am mid-pack, I feel really tight and stressed. After five or six laps I started to ride a bit better, but I only got eighteenth. In the second moto I got a really good start, around eighth, so pushed really hard to stay with the guys and ended up tenth. I was pretty happy with the result, considering I really do not like the track and the way that things have gone over the last couple of months. Let’s take the positives and move onto Russia.”
Anton Gole: “I was quite happy about my riding in the first moto. I had a bad start, but other than that it was an okay moto and I finished twentieth. Moto two was just tough. My riding was okay, but I should have been more aggressive and attacked a bit more. I am healthy and motivated to come back stronger at the next round.”
Vsevolod Brylyakov: “The weekend was quite difficult for me. I could not really find the rhythm or get myself comfortable on the bike. The first moto started well, and I had the speed, but then technical issues forced me to stop. I had an okay start in the second moto, but then I got caught in a crash with some other guys and was really stuck there. After that I could not find any speed and could not get the result I really wanted. I am frustrated, obviously, but I need to regroup and work now before the Swedish round and the MXGP of Russia.”
