Eli Tomac: “”Le condizioni della pista sono cambiate molto durante la serata. Stavo lottando stasera. Sembrava che fosse ancora scivoloso, ma di notte c’era un po ‘di umidità in più. Sono stato in grado di guidare meglio. Le whoops erano dure. I bordi erano lì, e in pratica erano ancora molto grandi. All’inizio sembrava che fosse il mio punto debole. Come pilota conosci subito le tue sensazioni. Sì, lo senti e basta. Voglio dire, mi stavo sentendo bene nelle gare Triple Crown. E non puoi farci niente, poi sbagli e ti fa sembrare così pessimo. Come la scorsa settimana, tutti pensavano che avessi letteralmente lasciato Marvin [Musquin] al traguardo. Ho fatto un errore. Sono andato a bloccare l’interno, e ovviamente è entrato, è uscito, mi ha squadrato e poi mi ha fumato sopra il triplo. Stavo solo bloccando l’interno e ho programmato di lanciare il salto comunque. Ma quando non ti senti bene, ti fa solo sembrare cattivo. Mi sentivo male! Non potevo guidare come volevo, in questa gara invece, mi sono sentito meglio di qualsiasi gara abbia vinto, forse perchè ero caldo dalla LCQ e probabilmente avevo ancora la mente sul tracciato, è andata bene!”
Blake Baggett: “”Era sicuramente una delle piste che sembrava super aderente, il terreno sembrava buono e sembrava si avesse trazione, ma era super scivoloso. “Le whoops, a volte avevi trazione e a volte slittavi. Ho usato molta energia stasera. Avevo alcuni buoni punti, ma Eli è il migliore, ha vinto stasera, di sicuro ha approfittato di alcuni punti dove ero più lento, ho provato a raggiungerlo ma lui era semplicemente troppo veloce. Volevo vincere, pensavo che sarei stato lì, ma non stanotte. ”
Cooper Webb: “”E ‘stato bello ottenere l’holeshot e guidare alcuni giri nel Main Event. Ho fatto degli errori e sono stato superato da Eli e Blake – stavano entrambi guidando davvero bene stasera. Sfortunatamente, ho fatto un altro errore nelle whoops e sono andato giù. Da ultimo, sono tornato al sesto posto, che va bene, ma il risultato finale non è buono, quindi continueremo a lottare “.
Ken Roczen (8°):” “” Non so nemmeno cosa dire perché niente mi sorprende a questo punto. Mi sento come se non possa fare una pausa. Le cose sono iniziate così bene e mi sono davvero sentito che quella notte avrebbe potuto essere la mia serata. Tutto scorreva bene in qualifica e ho ottenuto un’altra vittoria nella heat-race. La mia moto funzionava alla grande e mi stavo divertendo. Non ho avuto la partenza che volevo nell’evento principale, ma stavo facendo dei passaggi velocemente. Sfortunatamente, [Joey] Savatgy è caduto mentre ero dietro di lui e ho colpito la sua moto. Non c’era nulla che potessi fare; Non avevo nessun posto dove andare. Quando sono risalito ero ultimo, quindi ho solo cercato di scavare in profondità e fare tutto il possibile per recuperare il maggior numero possibile di posizioni. Eli Tomac: “ “The track conditions changed a lot. “I was struggling more early. It seemed like it was still slick, but there was a little more moisture in the dirt at night. I was able to ride it better. The whoops were tough. The edges were there, and they were still really big in practice. Early on, that felt like it was my weak point, the whoops.”
Blake Baggett: ““It was definitely one of the tracks that looked super tacky, the dirt looked good and looked like it had traction, but it was super slippery. “The whoops, sometimes you’d have traction and sometimes you would spin. You’d use a lot of energy tonight. I had a few good spots, but Eli, best man won tonight, for sure, he took advantage of some spots were I was slower, I tried to pick it up but he was just too good. I wanted that win, thought it was going to be there, but not tonight.”
Cooper Webb: “ It was nice to get the holeshot and lead some laps in the Main Event. I made some mistakes and got passed by Eli and Blake – they were both riding really good tonight. I’m keeping the bigger picture in mind and a podium finish isn’t too bad, we were able to take away some points and extend the lead a little bit heading into the last three rounds.”
Dean Wilson (4°): ““I qualified third, so the speed was good today. “In the heat race, I rode a bit tight and ended up fourth. In the Main Event, I got a good start and avoided some carnage early on and got into second. I got passed by a couple guys and from there I rode in a pretty solid fourth the whole race. Fourth is a good finish but the podium was so close, so I just have to keep pushing for that.”
Marvin Musquin (6°): Qualifying eighth in the heat race kind of put me in a bad position for the Main Event but I was able to get a decent start in second. Unfortunately, I made another mistake in the first set of whoops and I went down. From last, I came all the way back to sixth-place, which is okay but the end result is not good so we’ll keep on fighting.”
Ken Roczen (8°): ““I don’t even know what to say because nothing surprises me at this point. I feel like I just can’t catch a break. Things started out so great and I really felt like tonight could have been my night. Everything was flowing well in qualifying and I got another heat-race win. My bike was working great and I was having fun. I didn’t get the start that I wanted in the main event but was making passes quickly. Unfortunately, [Joey] Savatgy went down while I was right behind him and I hit his bike. There was nothing I could do; I had nowhere to go. By the time I got going again I was last, so I just tried to dig deep and do whatever I could to make up as many positions as possible. I’m not happy with eighth but it’s okay considering what happened. We’ve got a few more opportunities to make it happen, so on to Denver.”
