Webb: L’unica cosa che ho tenuto in mente è Herlings!
Il leader del 450 punti supercross Cooper Webb ha rivelato come abbia mantenuto la fiducia in se stesso durante due anni difficili con la Yamaha nella classe 450 – ed è stato in parte grazie a Jeffrey Herlings!
“Sì, è difficile (non perdendo la fiducia) ma mi sono sempre sentito come se fossi una persona piuttosto fiduciosa. Non ho mai sentito di aver perso quello che avevo, è solo che quello che stavo facendo non funzionava “, ha offerto Webb in un’intervista con Jason Weigandt sui film di Racer X.
“L’unica cosa che ho sempre tenuto in mente era, e sembra sciocco, Herlings. La mia ultima gara in 250 di me era con lui è andato testa a testa, due anni dopo ed è l’uomo più veloce del pianeta! Due anni prima che stavo correndo con lui, sapevo che non lo perdevo, non perdi il talento, la lotta.
“Certo devi spolverare le tue abilità e migliorare ma non mi sembra che se ne sia mai andato. Dovevo solo trovarlo di nuovo, in questa 450 tutto deve essere sul punto giusto. Penso di aver trovato un ottimo adattamento per me e mi hanno portato al meglio di me. “
E, ironia della sorte, ora che Cooper Webb è tornato in forma, c’è la possibilità che possa correre di nuovo con Herlings per la vittoria in America, solo che questa volta saranno compagni di squadra se l’olandese andrà avanti con la sua possibilità di gareggiare negli Stati Uniti, se i suo infortunio non si riprende in tempo!
