CAIROLI, PRADO & LANGENFELDER I VINCITORI DI GIORNATA
Gli Internazionali d’Italia EICMA Series 2019 hanno il loro dominatore: il suo nome è Tony Cairoli (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team). Il nove volte Campione del Mondo anche nel secondo appuntamento stagionale si è aggiudicato le manche della MX1 e della Supercampione, allungando in entrambe le classifiche con un ruolino di marcia perfetto, pur se costretto a gareggiare in condizioni di salute precarie. Il circuito di Ottobiano Motorsport ha ospitato la seconda prova del campionato, disputata su una pista durissima per tutti, accogliendo gli oltre 200 piloti in gara con temperature polari e tanta acqua caduta nei giorni precedenti la gara, sotto forma di neve prima e di acqua in seguito, rendendo la superficie sabbiosa insidiosa e molto tecnica.

Partenza Supercampione
SUPERCAMPIONE – Nella gara della Supercampione è stato incredibilmente Mikkel Haarup (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) a partire in testa, aggiudicandosi l’EICMA hole-shot award davanti a Cairoli, che lo ha passato dopo poche curve, seguito a ruota da Tim Gajser (Honda HRC). I due, vanno in fuga martellando su tempi stratosferici, seguiti a distanza dal danese e da Jorge Prado (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team), entrambi alla guida di moto di 250cc. mentre Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing), cerca la rimonta dopo un inizio difficile. Il colpo di scena della gara arriva al decimo dei tredici giri di gara, quando Gajser affonda e passa Cairoli, che non domo lo ripassa dopo due giri, andando a vincere con tre secondi sullo sloveno. Terzo sotto la bandiera a scacchi è Jorge Prado, che replica il risultato di Riola, mentre quarto chiude Febvre, davanti a Haarup. Cairoli guida la classifica di campionato con 240 punti, precedendo Gajser con 200 e Prado con 160.
MX1 – Antonio Cairoli
MX1 – Gara intensa ed emozionante in MX1, con Romain Febvre, che scattato davanti a tutti dal terzo cancello, conquista l’EICMA hole-shot award, precedendo alla prima curva Tim Gajser (Honda HRC), autore del 24MX Pole Position Award e Tony Cairoli. Il duo di testa prende rapidamente il largo, mentre Cairoli cede una posizione a Brian Boogers (Honda HRC), sembrando in leggera difficoltà, a causa dello stato influenzale nel quale versa da inizio settimana. Al settimo passaggio Gajser attacca Febvre e lo passa, mentre Cairoli terzo comincia a far scendere i tempi sul giro, riportandosi velocemente alle spalle del duo di testa. L’attacco di Cairoli arriva al nono passaggio e in due giri il siciliano prende la testa della gara, andando a tagliare il traguardo davanti a Febvre e Gajser, con Gautier Paulin (Monster Energy Wilvo MXGP) e Tannel Leok (A1M Husqvarna) rispettivamente quarto e quinto. In campionato Cairoli guida con 240 punti su Febvre (200), Gajser (160), Paulin (130) e Leok (115).
MX2 – Jorge Prado
MX2 – In MX2 continua la marcia trionfale del Campione del Mondo Jorge Prado (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team) che dopo la vittoria in Sardegna sette giorni fa, si aggiudica con facilità anche la gara di Ottobiano. Lo spagnolo, sesto al cancello di partenza, conquista l’EICMA hole-shot award, andando in fuga dal primo giro, davanti a Calvin Vlaanderen (Honda HRC) e a Maxime Renaux (SM Action Yamaha), autore del 24MX Pole Position Award. I due lottano per tutti e tredici i giri di gara, scambiandosi le posizioni due volte, tagliando quindi il traguardo nello stesso ordine nel quale vi erano transitati al primo passaggio. Alle loro spalle ottima prova per il campione in carica degli Internazionali Michele Cervellin (SM Action Yamaha), quarto, che precede il britannico Ben Watson (Kemea Yamaha), quinto sotto la bandiera a scacchi. In classifica di campionato Prado guida con 240 punti, precedendo il danese Mikkel Haarup a quota 150 e Michele Cervellin con 125 punti.
125 – Simon Langenfelder
La tabella rossa della classe 125 cambia di proprietario e passa nelle mani di Florient Miot (Yamaha MJC), che raggiunge quota 730 punti e che a Mantova dovrà vedersela con un agguerrito Andrea Bonacorsi (Celestini KTM Junior Team) deciso a recuperare i trenta punti di svantaggio accumulati oggi. A vincere la gara è stato però il tedesco Simon Langenfelder (WZ Racing KTM), che conquistando entrambe le manche e dando prova di grande temperamento sulla sabbia di Ottobiano, è salito al terzo posto della classifica con 500 punti. Sul secondo gradino del podio il francese Miot, autore di due secondi posti, ha preceduto Bonacorsi che con un settimo ed un secondo posto ha centrato il terzo di giornata, precedendo il compagno di squadra Mirko Valsecchi (Celestini KTM Junior Team), sesto e quarto nelle due gare odierne e quarto in classifica di campionato a quota 470 punti, dopo aver centrato il 24MX Pole Position award nelle qualifiche del mattino. Sfortunato Alberto Barcella (Max Bart Racestore KTM) che nelle prove, in seguito a problemi tecnici ad entrambe le moto, si è visto costretto a saltare la gara di oggi.
Anche questa volta grande il successo del Live Streaming che ha visto più di 160.000 spettatori seguire il secondo round e permettendo al video di finire ancora una volta tra le tendenze italiane di YouTube.
Appuntamento a Mantova tra sette giorni per il terzo e conclusivo round degli Internazionali d’Italia, sulla pista sabbiosa del Tazio Nuvolari.

The circuit of Ottobiano Motorsport hosted the second round of the championship, on a very muddy track, welcoming over 200 riders with cold temperatures and a lot of water as water and snow, making the sandy surface tricky and very technical.

Third under the checkered flag was Jorge Prado, who replicates the result of Riola, while fourth was Febvre, ahead of Haarup. Cairoli leads the championship standings with 240 points, ahead of Gajser with 200 and Prado with 160.

The Spaniard, sixth at the starting gate, wins the EICMA hole-shot award, fleeing from the first lap, ahead of Calvin Vlaanderen (Honda HRC) and Maxime Renaux (SM Action Yamaha), winner of the 24MX Pole Position Award. The two fight for all thirteen laps during the race, exchanging positions twice, then cutting the finish line in the same order in which they had passed on the finish line of the first pass. Behind them, excellent ride for the reigning champion of the Internazionali, Michele Cervellin (SM Action Yamaha), fourth, which precedes the British Ben Watson (Kemea Yamaha), fifth under the checkered flag. In the standings Prado leads with 240 points, ahead of the Danish Mikkel Haarup at 150 and Michele Cervellin with 125 points.
