Durante il Motocross delle Nazioni del 2018 a Red Bud (Stati Uniti) il 6-7.10.2018 (IMN 210/01), i campioni di carburante sono stati sottoposti a test in conformità con le regole tecniche FIM 2018-1 (Art.63.04 e 63.05 ) dai seguenti motocicli:
Mr BARCIA # 27 (Stati Uniti)
Sig. VAN HOREBEEK # 12 (Belgio)
Sig. CERVELLIN # 20 (Italia)
Mr TOMAC # 25 (Stati Uniti)
Sig. TIXIER # 3 (Francia)
Mr PLESSINGER # 26 (Stati Uniti)
Mr LAWRENCE # 17 (Australia)
Sig. CAIROLI n. 19 (Italia)
Tra i suddetti piloti, le prove di carburante del n. 20 Michele CERVELLIN hanno attestato la non conformità alle specifiche FIM sui carburanti di cui all’art. 63.01.2 delle regole tecniche FIM 2018-1, riguardante le proprietà del carburante senza piombo.
Su questa base, la Direzione della gara FIM del suddetto Motocross delle Nazioni 2018 ha deciso di imporre la squadra del Sig. CERVELLIN (squadra Italia) una squalifica dall’intero evento, ai sensi dell’Art. 63.05.13 del Motocross delle regole tecniche 2018-1.
Nessun ricorso contro la decisione della Direzione della gara FIM è stato presentato dinanzi alla Corte internazionale di disciplina (CDI) entro il termine stabilito. Di conseguenza, la decisione della Direzione di Gara è definitiva.
I risultati finali del Motocross delle Nazioni 2018 sono stati aggiornati di conseguenza.
La Francia ha ancora ottenuto la vittoria, con l’Olanda seconda, la Gran Bretagna è salito sul podio in terza posizione, con l’Australia quarta e la squadra USA quinta.

MONACO (Principiality of Monaco) 29 January 2019 – During the 2018 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Red Bud (United States) on 6th and 7th October 2018 fuel samples were taken to be tested in accordance with the 2018-1 FIM Technical Rules Motocross (Art.63.04 and 63.05) from the following motorcycles:
· Mr BARCIA #27 (United States)
· Mr VAN HOREBEEK #12 (Belgium)
· Mr CERVELLIN #20 (Italy)
· Mr TOMAC #25 (United States)
· Mr TIXIER #3 (France)
· Mr PLESSINGER #26 (United States)
· Mr LAWRENCE #17 (Australia)
· Mr CAIROLI #19 (Italy)
Among the aforementioned riders, the fuel tests of No. 20 Michele CERVELLIN attested non conformity with the FIM fuel specifications provided for in Art. 63.01.2 of the 2018-1 FIM Technical Rules Motocross, regarding the properties for unleaded fuel.
On this basis, the FIM Race Direction of the above-mentioned 2018 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations has decided to impose upon Mr CERVELLIN’s team (team Italy) a disqualification from the entire event, in accordance with Art. 63.05.13 of the 2018-1 Technical Rules Motocross.
No appeal against the decision of the FIM Race Direction has been lodged before the International Disciplinary Court (CDI) within the set deadline.
