E la prima gara del Monster Energy Supercross 2019 ad Anaheim è andata e ha regalato uno spettacolo incredibile, ci sono tutti i presupposti er vedere un bel campionato, forse uno dei più belli ed eccitanti delle ultime edizioni, sotto i commenti del podio della 450 e il vincitore della 250 che, a nostro avviso manca di piloti per avere il giusto interesse, ma potremmo anche sbagliarci!

Justin Barcia: “Anaheim 1 was an awesome day. I had a lot of fun in practice, then going into the heat race it started to sprinkling a little. I didn’t get the best start but made some good passes and got into the lead and won my heat race which was awesome, and it felt really good to get that first one out of the way at the first race. The main event it was really pouring down. It was looking tricky watching the 250 start so I definitely got a little excited and nervous and all those feelings you get at the first race. I got off to a pretty decent start and worked my way up to third by a little over half the race. I played it smart and tried to make no mistakes. One of the guys went down in front of me and then I was able to charge harder and catch the leader, make the pass and ride a smooth race to the win. For me this is incredible, I haven’t won a 450 race in over six years so it’s a pretty awesome feeling. I couldn’t be much happier, I’m really excited to go to Phoenix. I just want to stay, smart, smooth, fast, consistent and focus on the championship plate.”
Ken Roczen: “E ‘bello uscire di qui sani e con un solido podio. Le condizioni erano difficili; possono ovviamente giocare a tuo favore ma possono anche metterti male. Per circa metà del main, stavamo ancora saltando i big doubles nel mezzo, ma era decisamente difficile e approssimativo là fuori. La gara era davvero tutto basato sulla coerenza. C’erano dappertutto solchi quindi dovevi cercare di non commettere errori. Una volta che siamo entrati in contatto coi doppiati è stato davvero difficile. Sono stato bloccato un paio di volte, il che mi è costato tempo. Sono pompato però; Me ne vado con una vittoria nella heat-race e secondo nella main, quindi non avrei potuto chiedere una prima gara migliore. Non ho la mobilità che ho avuto prima delle ferite sicuramente sul mio braccio sinistro, ho ancora un po ‘di dolore ma questo è il mio nuovo braccio, quindi non ci penso davvero troppo. L’anno scorso ero davvero in aria in questa gara, poteva sembrare che stavo bene e lo ero, ma l’anno scorso, a tre settimane prima della gara, quando andavo a letto di notte avevo una scarica di adrenalina pensando alla gara e continuava a succedere! Quest’anno ero super neutrale e sono stato paziente anche quando ero fuori, anche nelle prove di qualifica quando non sono in cima alla classifica non ci pensavo affatto. Perché mi piace stare dietro il cancello. La gara poi è stata divertente, ero un buon pilota da fango, in questi anni non ho passato molto tempo sul fango tra gli infortuni vari, credo sia passato molto tempo senza gare nel fango ad essere onesti. Si tratta solo di tornare nel boschetto, come quando guidavo nel fango in Europa tutto il tempo e qui e ogni volta che ho gare sul fango sono contento e mi è sempre piaciuto”.
Eli Tomac: “C’erano condizioni di pista difficili a causa della quantità insolita di pioggia per Anaheim, ma sono riuscito a rimanere in condizioni abbastanza buone da continuare a saltare la maggior parte delle corsie e andare avanti. Sono rimasto paziente e ho controllato il mio ritmo per tutto il Main Event e anche se stiamo sempre girando per il primo posto, sono contento di dare il via alla stagione sul podio: la squadra e io non vediamo l’ora che arrivi Glendale, facciamo in modo che questa stagione vada in onda! ”

Ken Roczen: “It’s good to get out of here healthy and with a solid podium. The conditions were tough; they can obviously play in your favor but they can also bite you bad. For about half of the main, we were still jumping the big doubles in the middle but it was definitely sloppy and sketchy out there. It was really all about consistency. There were ruts everywhere so you had to try not to make any mistakes. Once we got into the lappers that’s when it got really bad. I got held up a couple times, which cost me time. I’m pumped though; I’m leaving with a heat-race win and second in the main, so I couldn’t have asked for a better first race.”
Eli Tomac: “There were tricky track conditions due to the unusual amount of rain for Anaheim, but I managed to stay in good enough condition to keep jumping most of the lanes and pushing forward. I remained patient and controlled my pace throughout the Main Event, and although we’re always shooting for the top spot, I’m happy to kick off the season on the podium. The team and I are already looking forward to Glendale, let’s get this season rolling!”
