Febvre Out for Assen

Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Romain Febvre della MXGP, che è caduto dal Gran Premio della Turchia 10 giorni fa, non parteciperà al MXGP dei Paesi Bassi che si svolgerà questo fine settimana nel circuito TT di Assen.

Dopo aver ottenuto il miglior tempo sul giro nella prima sessione di prove libere del MXGP della Turchia, Febvre ha sofferto di una pesante caduta nella seconda sessione che ha provocato una rottura della costola.

Febvre è tornato a casa sua, in Belgio, dopo il Gran Premio e ha utilizzato il fine settimana per riposarsi e riprendersi dall’impatto. Ha provato a guidare per la prima volta dall’incidente all’inizio di questa settimana, dove ha confermato che la costola non è ancora guarita. A causa dell’immenso dolore che stava vivendo, il 26enne francese ha deciso di ritirarsi dal Gran Premio d’Olanda questo fine settimana.

Nonostante manchino due Grand Prix, Febvre rimane quinto nella classifica del campionato MXGP. Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP’s Romain Febvre, who crashed out of the Turkish Grand Prix 10 days ago, will not participate in the MXGP of The Netherlands that will take place at the Dutch TT Circuit in Assen this weekend.

After setting the fastest lap time in the first practice session at the MXGP of Turkey, Febvre suffered from a heavy fall in the second session that resulted in a broken rib.

Febvre returned to his home, in Belgium, after the Grand Prix and used the weekend off to rest and recover from the impact. He tried to ride for the first time since the accident earlier this week where he confirmed that the rib is not yet healed. Due to the immense pain he was experiencing, the 26-year-old Frenchman has decided to withdraw from the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend.
