2018 MXGP OF TURKEY | AGGIORNAMENTO INFORTUNIO FEBVRE

Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Il pilota della MXGP Romain Febvre ha rilasciato un aggiornamento sulle sue condizioni in seguito a un incidente al 2018 MXGP della Turchia. Durante la sessione di qualifica di sabato ad Afyon, Febvre è caduto sulla pista ad alta velocità ed è stato portato via dal circuito in ambulanza ad un vicino ospedale con una commozione cerebrale. Questo ha costretto Febvre a ritirarsi dal resto del weekend e ha immediatamente suscitato preoccupazione per il suo piazzamento con il Team France per il Motocross delle Nazioni 2018.

Romain Febvre Injury – OUT of GP Turkey!

Domenica scorsa Febvre ha rilasciato una dichiarazione che ha confermato di aver subito una commozione cerebrale e una costola rotta nello schianto, due infortuni che lo metteranno ai margini per un periodo di tempo indeterminato. Febvre ha subito una serie di commozioni cerebrali negli ultimi anni, incluso uno in duro incidente al GP 2016 della Gran Bretagna al Matterley Basin che lo ha messo da parte nel mezzo della stagione e ha concluso la sua difesa del titolo del 2015.

Nonostante lo schianto e il calendario incerto per il ritorno, la Federazione francese non ha indicato che Febvre salterà il Motocross delle Nazioni 2018 in ottobre e per ora sembra che si schiererà ancora insieme a Gautier Paulin e Dylan Ferrandis all’evento internazionale.

 

As you know, I had a big crash on Turkish GP’s at time practice. The exams revealed nothing serious except a head concussion and a broken rib. I will now have to rest and wait to feel better. I am very disappointed with this crash because the speed at the end of the season and on this track was good. I would like to thank you for all your messages of support. Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing MXGP rider Romain Febvre has released an update on his condition following a crash at the 2018 MXGP of Turkey. During the timed qualifying session on Saturday at Afyon, Febvre went down on the high-speed track and was taken from the circuit by ambulance to a nearby hospital with a concussion. This forced Febvre to withdraw from the rest of the weekend and immediately sparked concern on his placement with Team France for the 2018 Motocross of Nations.

On Sunday Febvre released a statement that confirmed he suffered a concussion and a broken rib in the crash, two injuries that will put him on the sidelines for an undetermined amount of time. Febvre has sustained a number of concussions in recent years, including one in a hard crash at the 2016 MXGP of Great Britain at Matterley Basin that sidelined him in the middle of the season and ended his 2015 title defense.

Despite the crash and uncertain timeline for return, the French Federation has not indicated that Febvre will miss the 2018 Motocross of Nations in October and for now it looks like he will still line up alongside Gautier Paulin and Dylan Ferrandis at the international event.
