HORSHAM (Australia) 25 agosto 2018 – Il primo giorno dell’azione in pista del Junior Motocross World Championship ha avuto luogo a Horsham, Australia. sessioni di prove libere e qualifiche di oggi hanno regolato la fase di domani per le gare. I migliori giovani piloti del mondo hanno colpito la pista per la prima volta questa mattina e mettono nei loro giri più veloci per ottenere un tatto per domani.
125cc Junior Motocross World Championship
I piloti più esperti in pista oggi, dove quelli nella classe 125cc dove nella prima sessione di prove libere Raf Meuwissen dai Paesi Bassi a malapena batte il tempo sul giro dell’ italiano Mattia Gaudagnini.
Solo 9 centesimi di secondo separano la coppia con un 1: 44,800 giro dalla Meuwissen e un 1: 44,894 proveniente da Gaudagnini. I successivi 7 piloti erano tutti all’interno di un 1:45 tempo sul giro tra cui EMX125 capo Thibault Benistant dalla Francia.
La pista è diventata più difficile nel corso della giornata e per le prove libere 2 i tempi sul giro più veloci sono stati oltre 01:47 guidato da un 1: 47,946 dalla Nuova Zelanda James Scott. Petr Polak dalla Repubblica Ceca è stato seguito dall’australiano Bailey Malkiewicz.
I tempi decisivi per scelta al cancello di domani però sono venuti dalla sessione di qualifica in cui Guadagnini ha ottenuto la pole su Malkiewicz e Polak. Domani inizierà con una sessione di warm-up alle 9:50 ora locale(In Italia 01:50), seguita da Gara 1 alle 13:10 e Gara 2 alle 16:10 (In Italia rispettivamente alle 05:10 Gara 1 e 08:10 Gara 2).

85cc Junior Motocross World Championship
I piloti della classe 85cc sono stati guidati dai Paesi Bassi Kay De Wolf nelle prove libere, ma il belga Liam Everts non era molto indietro con il secondo miglior tempo e il sostegno di suo padre 10 volte Campione del Mondo. Il recente campione EMX85 Camden Mc Lellan dal Sud Africa è stato 3° solo leggermente più veloce di quello americano Ryder DiFrancesco.
Prove libere 2 aveva il giro più veloce da un americano, ma invece di DiFrancesco era Caden Braswel l. Mc Lellan, De Wolf, e DiFrancesco erano 2°, 3°, 4°, rispettivamente, più veloci, mentre l’ultimo posto nella top 5 apparteneva a Dave Kookier dall’Olanda.
Le qualifiche sono state quasi identiche, con la parte superiore dei 4 dalle prove libere 2 per tornare alla loro posizione della prima ma Kookier è sceso al 9 più veloce. Everts sarà invece in fila al quinto domani davanti all’olandese Kay Karssemakers e lo spagnolo Raul Sanchez.
La lotta per il podio sarà vicino con molti piloti vicino a velocità identiche. Vincere insieme a raggiungere la cima nei 5 richiederà errori minimi e prestazioni costanti. Gara 1 è prevista per 12:15 di domani ora locale(In Italia 04:15), mentre Gara 2 di porte cadranno 3 ore più tardi alle 15:15(In Italia 07:15).

65cc Junior Motocross World Cup
I piloti più giovani e più piccoli sono quelli della Coppa del Mondo di 65cc e far emergere la vera idea di piloti di motocross Junior. Non fatevi ingannare, questi giovani sono ripper e volano intorno alle piste più difficili del mondo.
Prove libere, miglior tempo proviene dai Paesi Bassi Damien Knuiman che era l’unico pilota su un 65 per avere un tempo a meno di 2 minuti. Braden Plath, Ky Woods, Jet Alsop, e Jack Deveson girano nei 2 al più veloce e tutti sono esteri dal paese ospitante dell’Australia.
La Qualifica genera gli stessi due più veloci, Knuiman e Plath schiererà prima per le gare di domani. A saltare al 3° posto è stato l’americano Enzo Temmerman seguito da Best Logan e dal miglior australiano Kayden Minear.

First Day Has Concluded in Horsham
HORSHAM (Australia) 25 August 2018 – The first day of the Junior Motocross World Championship track action has taken place in Horsham, Australia. Today’s Free Practice and Qualifying sessions set the stage tomorrow’s stars to perform. The world’s best young riders hit the track for the first time this morning and put in their fastest laps to get a feel for tomorrows racing lines and pace.
125cc Junior Motocross World Championship
The most experienced riders on track today where those in the 125cc class where in the first Free Practice session Raf Meuwissen from the Netherlands barely beat the lap time of Italian Mattia Gaudagnini.
Only 9 hundredths of a second separated the pair with a 1:44.800 lap from Meuwissen and a 1:44.894 coming from Gaudagnini. The next 7 riders all were within a second apart with 1:45 laptimes including EMX125 presented by FMF Racing points leader Thibault Benistant from France.
The track became more challenging later in the day and for Free Practice 2 the fastest lap times were over 1:47 led by a 1:47.946 from New Zealand’s James Scott. Petr Polak from the Czech Republic was second followed by Australian Bailey Malkiewicz.
The deciding times for tomorrow’s gate pick however came from the Qualifying session where Guadagnini took pole over Malkiewicz and Polak. Tomorrow will start with a Warm-Up session at 9:50 local time followed by Race 1 at 13:10 and Race 2 at 16:10.

85cc Junior Motocross World Championship
The riders of the 85cc class were led by the Netherlands Kay De Wolf in Free Practice but Belgium’s Liam Evertswas not far behind with the second fastest time and the support of his 10 time World Champion father Stefan trackside. The recent EMX85 champion Camden Mc Lellan from South Africa was 3rd just slightly faster than the American Ryder DiFrancesco.
Free Practice 2 had the fastest lap come from an American but instead of DiFrancesco it was Caden Braswell. Mc Lellan, De Wolf, and DiFrancesco were 2rd, 3rd, and 4th fastest respectively while the final spot in the top belonged to Dave Kookier from Holland.
Qualifying was nearly identical with the top 4 from Free Practice 2 returning to their prior position but Kookier dropped to 9th fastest. Everts will instead line up 5th tomorrow ahead of Netherland’s Kay Karssemakers and Spain’s Raul Sanchez.
The fight for the podium will be close as several riders are on near identical speed. Winning along with reaching the top 5 will require minimal mistakes and consistent performances. Race 1 is slated for 12:15 local time tomorrow while Race 2’s gates will drop 3 hours later at 15:15.

65cc Junior Motocross World Cup
The youngest and smallest riders are those of the 65cc World Cup and they bring out the true idea of junior motocross racers. Don’t be fooled though as these young guns are rippers and fly around the toughest tracks the world has to offer.
Free Practice 1’s fastest time came from the Netherlands’ Damien Knuiman who was the only rider on a 65 to have a time under 2 minutes. Braden Plath, Ky Woods, Jet Alsop, and Jack Deveson took 2nd to 5th quickest and all are from the host country of Australia.
Free Practice 2 was again led by Knuiman and Plath with both recording under 2 minute lap times. The top 2 had new company to round out the top 5 though with Slovenia’s Jaka Pleklaj 3rd, USA’s Logan Best 4th, and 2018 EMX65 Champion from Italy, Brando Rispoli 5th fastest.
Qualifying resulted in the same two fastest as Knuiman and Plath will line up first for tomorrow’s races. Jumping into the 3rd spot was American Enzo Temmerman followed by Best and Australia’s Kayden Minear.
