CLÉMENT DESALLE LEADS TEAM BELGIUM AT MX OF NATIONS
Clément Desalle tornerà al Motocross delle Nazioni come capitano della squadra belga, una delle squadre più vincenti della tradizionale nella gara internazionale a squadre che si svolgerà a Red Bud (USA) il 6 e 7 ottobre.
La squadra belga ha avuto un grande successo all’MX delle Nazioni, vincendo quindici volte l’evento e segnando cinquantasette podi nella lunga storia di questo storico scontro tra nazioni MX creato nel 1947.
Vincitore nel 2013 e sul podio nel 2009, 2010 e 2012, Clément Desalle ha saltato gli ultimi quattro eventi, ma il pilota del team Monster Energy Kawasaki tornerà in squadra a ottobre, al fianco di Jeremy Van Horebeek e Jago Geerts.
“Essere selezionato nella squadra nazionale è sempre un grande onore e sono felice di essere tornato in questa gara, dopo aver perso gli ultimi a causa di infortuni. Andremo lì con le aspettative di salire sul podio, ma al momento sono completamente concentrato sul prossimo GP dove voglio difendere la mia terza posizione “, ha spiegato il pilota belga che ha sempre avuto successo in questo evento dove ha scalato il podio quattro tempi in cinque tentativi.
Come tutti i piloti MXGP presenti, salterà su un aereo subito dopo la MXGP di Imola per correre a Red Bud il fine settimana successivo; sarà la prima volta dal 2010 che la gara si svolgerà negli Stati Uniti, e il team belga ha dei bei ricordi quando ha finito al secondo posto quell’anno a Lakewood.
Per il team Monster Energy Kawasaki sarà anche un ritorno a questo evento, dove hanno anche dei bei ricordi.
“L’ultima volta che i nostri corridori sono entrati in questo evento l’abbiamo vinto nel 2014 a Kegums contro la squadra francese”, ricorda il Team Manager, François Lemariey.
“Sarà fantastico essere lì con Clément e lavorare con i nostri colleghi americani della Kawasaki Motors Corporation. Abbiamo una buona collaborazione con loro e con i nostri partner sportivi statunitensi, quindi sarà una buona occasione per condividere ancora una volta la nostra esperienza “.

Clément Desalle will be back at the Motocross of Nations as captain of the Belgian team, one of the most successful squads at the traditional international team race which will take place at Red Bud (USA) on October 6th and 7th.
The Belgian team has been highly successful at the MX of Nations, winning the event fifteen times and scoring fifty-seven podiums in the long history of this historic clash of MX nations created in 1947.
Winner in 2013 and on the podium in 2009, 2010 and 2012, Clément Desalle missed the last four events but the Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team rider will be back in the team in October, alongside Jeremy Van Horebeek and Jago Geerts.
“To be selected in the national team is always a great honour and I’m happy to be back at this race, after missing the last ones due to injuries. We’ll go there with podium expectations, but at the moment I’m fully focused on the next GP’s where I want to defend my third position,” explained the Belgian rider who has always been successful in this event where he climbed the podium four times in five attempts.
Like all MXGP riders attending he will jump on a plane just after the MXGP of Imola to race in Red Bud the following weekend; it will be the first time since 2010 that the race will take place in the USA, and team Belgium has some good memories as they finished runner up that year at Lakewood.
For the Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team it will be also a comeback to this event, where they have also very good memories.
“The last time our riders entered this event we won it in 2014 at Kegums with the French squad,” remembers Team Manager, François Lemariey.
“It will be great to be there with Clément, and to work with our American colleagues from Kawasaki Motors Corporation. We have a good partnership with them and our US sporting partners so it will be a good opportunity to share our experience once more”.
