Free practice day at Loretta Lynn for Andrea
Il Rocky Mountain ATV / MC AMA Amateur Campionato Nazionale di Motocross a Loretta Lynn iniziato ufficialmente oggi(martedì) con le prove libere. Un totale di 35 manche ha reso la giornata davvero intensa, a partire dalla prima manche alle 7:30 am e finendo alle 5:00 pm
Andrea aveva la prima giornata dura, avendo un momento difficile a ottenere la giusta confidenza con la moto e con un circuito così difficile e complicato. Nella prima manche del Schoolboy 2 Andrea ha fatto la sesta posizione, mentre nel 250B ha chiuso con un quinto posto.
La pista di Loretta Lynn ha reso la partita difficile per ogni singolo pilota, specialmente per il fatto che a causa del fango molle la pista continuava a cambiare e diventava lentamente sempre più difficile.
Andrea dopo la seconda manche, ha dichiarato:
“Oggi è stato difficile per me trovare l’impostazione giusta e feeling con la moto, ma grazie alla grande squadra ho lentamente iniziato a sentirmi meglio giro dopo giro. In ogni caso, anche se oggi non ero nemmeno vicino a fare del mio meglio, i risultati non mentono. Alcuni piloti sono stati molto affamati e questo mi motiva a cambiare la mentalità e dare il massimo a partire domani. “
Dopo la lunga giornata di prove libere della cerimonia di apertura ha dato l’avvio ufficiale alla settimana di corsa. Durante la cerimonia Davey Coombs, il promotore della gara, ha voluto ricordare a tutti che il Loretta Lynn non è solo una gara, ma è prima di tutto una settimana di vacanza per le famiglie e motocross appassionati provenienti da tutto il mondo. Questo sottolineato dal fatto che su più di 1500 atleti che hanno superato le qualificazioni solo 6 piloti non si sono presentati al momento della registrazione di Domenica mattina !!

Tough first race day at Loretta Lynn for Andrea
Pugno duro la prima giornata di gare per Andrea Adamo al Rocky Mountain ATV / MC AMA Amatoriale Nazionale di Motocross Championship a Loretta Lynn. La giornata per lui è iniziata con la gara del Schoolboy 2 alle 11:00
L’ordine al cancello di partenza di ciascuna classe, solo per la moto 1, è determinata dall’ estrazione di una moneta che un pilota deve scegliere da un sacchetto prima di andare al cancello. Andrea prese il numero 24, ma per fortuna ha trovato in ogni caso un buon posto dove cominciare.
Un giro di prova, di nuovo alla porta, 15 secondi …. 5 secondi e qui andiamo. Andrea ha preso il primo holeshot della giornata lasciando tutti stupiti dal fatto che egli è uno dei piloti più giovani e non ha mai corso in quella pista.
Andrea ha guidato bene fino al sesto giro quando, in quinta posizione, ha purtroppo avuto un problema meccanico che lo ha costretto a fermarsi presso l’area meccanici prima di tornare dentro e rivendicare la posizione finale 21°.
Nella prima gara del 250B Andrea ha raccolto il numero 32 e per fortuna ha trovato il secondo posto del cancello di partenza vuoto e ha deciso di iniziare da lì. Andò molto vicino a prendere un altro holeshot che ha mancato per poco meno di un metro. Dopo una buona partenza continuava a spingere fino a quando mancavano dieci minuti è caduto in una curva e dopo si è schiantato di nuovo a causa di un contatto con un altro pilota, finendo la gara in 20° posizione.
Andrea era veramente deluso di come la gara è andata e ha detto:
“Non sono contento di come sto guidando in questo momento e so che posso fare molto meglio. Non è stato un inizio facile della settimana e potrebbe essere che tutta la pressione e pensieri che ho avuto negli ultimi giorni non mi lascino guidare come posso fare. E’ ora di fare un reset e ricominciare da zero, senza pensieri e godendo quello che sto facendo come ho sempre fatto”

The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn officially started today with the free practice. A total of 35 motos made the day really busy, starting from the first moto at 7:30 a.m. and finishing at 5:00 p.m. Andrea had a really though first day, having an hard time in getting the right confidence with the bike and with such a difficult and tricky circuit. In the first moto of the Schoolboy 2 Andrea did the sixth time, while in the 250B he finished with a fifth place. The Loretta Lynn’s track made the game hard for every single rider, specially for the fact that due to the soft mud the track kept on changing and getting slowly more and more difficult . |

Andrea after the second moto said: “Today was difficult for me to find the right setting and feeling on the bike but thanks to the great team on my back I slowly started to feel better lap after lap. In anyway even if today I was not even close to do my best, the results don’t lie. Some riders were much fasters than me and this motivates me to change mentality and give my best starting from tomorrow.“

Fist hard day of racing for Andrea Adamo at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn. The day for him started with the race of the Schoolboy 2 at 11:00 p.m. The starting gate order of each class, just for the first moto, is determined by the extraction of a coin that a rider has to pick from a bag before going to the gate. Andrea, for the schoolboy 2, picked up the number 24, but fortunately he found in anyway a good spot where to start from. One lap of practice, back to the gate, 15 second…. 5 second and here we go. Andrea took the first holeshot of the day leaving everyone amazed by the fact that he is one of the youngest rider and he never raced in that track. Andrea rode well until the sixth lap when, in fifth position, he unfortunately had a mechanical problem that forced him to stop at the mechanic area before going back inside and claim the 21st final position. |

In the first race of the 250B Andrea picked up the number 32 and fortunately he found the second spot of the starting gate empty and he decided to start from there. He went very close to take an other holeshot that he missed for just less than a meter. After a good start than he kept on pushing until when after ten minutes he crashed in a turn and after that crashed straight after again because of a contact with an other rider, finishing the race in 20th position. Andrea was really disappointed with how the race went and said: “I’m not happy about how I’m riding right now and I know that I can do much better. Has not been an easy start of the week and might be that all the pressure and thoughts that I had in the last days are not letting me ride as I can do. I have now to do a reset and start again from zero, with no thoughts and enjoying what I’m doing like I always did” |
