Yamaha Riders Set for a Sunny Spanish Grand Prix

Monster Energy Yamaha Romain Febvre e Jeremy Van Horebeek del team Yamaha Factory Racing Team e Jeremy Seewer, Shaun Simpson della Wilvo Yamaha sono pronti ad affrontare nuovi orizzonti con il terzo round della serie MXGP 2018 che si svolgerà questo fine settimana, 24 e 25 marzo a Red Sand MX & Enduro Park in Spagna – un luogo che non ha mai ospitato un Grand Prix prima.

Dopo il freddo del Gran Premio d’Olanda, nella sabbia scura di Valkenswaard, i piloti MXGP della Yamaha Racing non vedono l’ora di correre nei climi miti della Spagna. L’evento si svolgerà presso il Red Sand MX & Enduro Park, una struttura che si trova nella regione di Valencia ed è ben riconosciuta da molti dei piloti che si stanno sfidando nel Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross 2018, tra cui Jeremy Van Horebeek, Shaun Simpson e Jeremy Seewer.

A differenza degli innumerevoli cavalieri che hanno trascorso del tempo durante il periodo invernale presso il Red Sand MX Park in preparazione per la nuova stagione, Romain Febvre di Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing non è mai stato al Red Sand MX Park.

Tutti e quattro i piloti MXGP sono attualmente nella Top-10 nella classifica dei campionati MXGP, mentre Febvre è il pilota migliore, al quarto posto, a soli 2 punti da Clement Desalle in terza posizione. Van Horebeek tornerà in linea dopo un incidente al MXGP d’Europa lo scorso fine settimana, che lo ha visto cadere dal quarto posto in classifica generale, fino al settimo posto, mentre Simpson e Seewer hanno disputato anche gare dove erano stati assegnati 0 punti e come risultato, costituiscono la Top-10, rispettivamente in nona e decima posizione.

Mi sento bene. Non ho mai guidato prima a Red Sand, quindi sarà la mia prima volta lì. Sono entusiasta di avere un bel tempo perché lo scorso fine settimana è stato così difficile e davvero freddo. Tutto sta andando bene per me; Voglio solo migliorare sulla moto perché mi sento in grado di guidare molto meglio. Spero che questo fine settimana, con una buona pista e un tempo migliore, posso guidare come voglio.

Sono così rigido dopo il mio incidente a Valkenswaard e ho qualche dolore, ma niente è rotto, quindi dovrei essere pronto a guidare. Non vedo l’ora che arrivi Red Sand, mi sono allenato lì in inverno, quindi so che è una bella pista e se la annaffiano correttamente e se ne occupano durante il fine settimana è sicuramente un bel GP.

Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Team’s Romain Febvre and Jeremy Van Horebeek, and Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP’s Jeremy Seewer and Shaun Simpson, are ready to tackle new horizons with the third round of the 2018 MXGP series taking place this weekend, March 24th & 25th, at the Red Sand MX & Enduro Park in Spain – a venue that has never hosted a Motocross Grand Prix before.

After a bitterly cold Dutch Grand Prix, in the dark sand of Valkenswaard, Yamaha Racing’s MXGP riders are looking forward to racing in the mild-mannered climes of Spain. The event will take place at the Red Sand MX & Enduro Park, a facility that is situated in the region of Valencia and is well recognized by many of the riders that are contesting the 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship, including Jeremy Van Horebeek, Shaun Simpson and Jeremy Seewer.

Unlike the countless riders that have spent time during the winter period at the Red Sand MX Park preparing for the new season, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Romain Febvre has never been to the Red Sand MX Park before.

All four MXGP riders are currently inside the Top-10 in the MXGP Championship Standings with Febvre being the best placed rider, in fourth, only 2-points shy of Clement Desalle in third. Van Horebeek will be back on the line after an enormous crash at the MXGP of Europe last weekend, which saw him fall from fourth place in the overall standings, down to seventh place, while Simpson and Seewer have also had races where 0-points were scored and as a result, they make up the Top-10, in ninth and tenth, respectively.
