Dopo la tempesta che, la scorsa notte, ha messo a dura prova l’organizzazione, dal fango di questa mattina si è passati alla polvere del pomeriggio. A Noto, con Antonio Cairoli è arrivato anche il sole a far da cornice ad un’agguerrita e spettacolare giornata di gara: il calore del pubblico siciliano ha fatto poi la differenza. Un’affluenza pazzesca fin dalle prime luci dell’alba è stato il contorno ideale al trionfo del campione del mondo, il quale si è dimostrato ancora una volta un gran lottatore, regalando ai suoi conterranei quel successo assoluto, che significa ipotecare la vittoria finale agli Internazionali d’Italia SDV Motocross. Un tripudio totale alla presenza delle principali autorità locali e regionali, tra cui il sindaco di Noto Dott. Corrado Bonfanti ed il viceprefetto di Siracusa Dott. Filippo Romano.
MX1
In terra siciliana, la sua terra, Antonio Cairoli (KTM Red Bull) non riesce a ripetere la vittoria di sette giorni fa in Sardegna e deve lasciare a Romain Febvre (Yamaha Monster Energy), il gradino più alto del podio della MX1. Il 24MX fast lap è andato sempre al francese della Yamaha mentre il 9 vote Campione del Mondo si aggiudica il Just1Hole-Shot. La gara vede davanti Cairoli con Febvre che lo pressa da vicino e Jeremy Van Horebeek (Yamaha Monster Energy) è terzo. Al dodicesimo passaggio, nell’affrontare una curva, Cairoli trova sulla traiettoria un doppiato e Febvre ne approfitta subito per passare al comando che mantiene fino alla bandiera a scacchi. Terzo è Van Horebeek il quale precede un ottimo Ivo Monticelli sempre più a suo agio con la 450. La quinta posizione è di Tanel Leok (Husqvarna) mentre Alessandro Lupino (Kawasaki Gebben) è sesto. Il pilota delle Fiamme Oro è passato terzo al primo giro ma poi ha perso qualche posizione. A Tony resta la RED PLATE quale Leader del Campionato di categoria che guida con punti 220 davanti a Febvre (180) e Van Horebeek (160).
MX2
Vincitore della MX2 Maxime Renaux (Yamaha SM Action) che a Riola Sardo non era andato oltre l’ottava posizione. Il francese ha preceduto Michele Cervellin (Honda Martin Racing) che ha fatto una gara regolare tra le insidie della pista di Noto; alle spalle del veneto sotto la bandiera a scacchi ha concluso Samuele Bernardini (TM Factory) che partito molto bene, non ha saputo mantenere la posizione. A conquistare l’Holeshot Just1 della 250 è stato Alessandro Manucci (Yamaha SM Action). In campionato Renaux guida con 165 punti su Cervellin a quota 160 e Lawrence (Honda 114 Motorsport) a 120.
Supercampione
Colpi di scena a non finire nella classe regina con il podio finale che vede Cairoli (KTM Red Bull) primo su Van Horebeek (Yamaha Monster Energy) e Febvre (idem), autore dell’Holeshot Just1. Il pilota belga viene, però, retrocesso di 10 posizioni al termine della gara, per aver sorpassato il suo compagno di squadra Febvre in regime di bandiere gialle. Al terzo posto sale, così, Alessandro Lupino (Kawasaki Gebben). Tutto facile per Cairoli che si è sbarazzato di Febvre prima e di Van Horebeek poi, mandando in visibilio il suo pubblico e facendo registrare il 24MX fast lap. Tony ha interpretato nel modo migliore le insidie del tracciato, praticamente in configurazione mondiale con buche e canali profondissimi, confermandosi il riferimento anche sul terreno duro. Il primo pilota della MX2 è risultato Alvin Ostlund (Yamaha SM Action), quinto assoluto. Nella supercampione Cairoli è in testa con 240 punti, secondo Febvre con 180, terzo Tannel Leok a 105.

Ottima prestazione per Mattia Guadagnini (Husqvarna – Team Maddii Racing) che ha saputo interpretare al meglio la pista di Noto, dove si sono formati tantissimi canali, che hanno reso la guida per le ottavo di litro decisamente insidiosa. Come aveva già fatto a Riola Sardo, il veneto ha vinto con una certa sicurezza sui suoi avversari. Alle spalle del vincitore Emilio Scuteri (KTM Team Celestini) ha conquistato due ottimi secondi posti, ma nonostante la sua grinta il pilota calabrese non è riuscito ad impensierire il leader. Terzo in gara 1 Alberto Barcella (Husqvarna Team Maddii Racing) che nella seconda frazione ha invertito la posizione con Alessandro Facca (KTM Marchetti Racing), che sale così sul podio. Sarasso e Corti conquistan l’Holeshot Just1 nelle due manche. In Classifica di campionato Guadagnini è saldamente in testa con 960 punti, alle sue spalle Scuteri a quota 880, terzo Facca a 490.

After the last night storm, that made the organization becomes hard, from this morning the track ground changed from mud into dust. Together with Antonio Cairoli, the sun arrived in Noto to be the background of a combative and spectacular race-day: the warm of the Sicilian people made the difference. An incredible flow of spectators since the early lights of the sunrise has been the ideal surround for the World champion, who triumphed and showed again to be a great fighter, so giving to his fellows the overall success, that means to take for granted the final victory of Internazionali d’Italia SDV Motocross. A global jubilation in front of the main local and regional authorities: among them the Major of Noto, Mr. Corrado Bonfanti, and the deputy Prefect of Siracusa, Mr. Filippo Romano.
Here in his homeland, Sicily, Antonio Cairoli (KTM Red Bull) has not managed to repeat the success of seven days ago in Sardinia and had to leave the first jump of the MX1 podium to Romain Febvre (Yamaha Monster Energy), who also gained the 24MX fast lap, while the 9 times World champion was the fastest at the Just1 Holeshot. The race was leaded by Cairoli, followed by Febvre, who pressed him, while Jeremy Van Horebeek (Yamaha Monster Energy) is third. During the 12th lap, Cairoli is “stopped” by a doubled rider and Febvre takes this opportunity to pass him and to lead till the finish. Great Emotions in the main class with a final podium, where Cairoli (KTM Red Bull) is first placed in front of Van Horebeek (Yamaha Monster Energy) and Febvre (idem), first at the Just1 Holeshot line. At the end of the day, the Belgian rider has been relegated of ten positions, because he passed his team mate Febvre while the yellow flag was showed. In this way the final third classified is Alessandro Lupino (Kawasaki Gebben). The race became easy for Cairoli who passed Febvre and then Van Horebeek, for the standing ovation of the spectators, who also celebrated his 24MX fast lap. Tony showed to be confident along the tricks of the track and confirmed to be the fastest on hard ground too. Alvin Ostlund (Yamaha SM Action) was the first MX2 rider at the finish line and gained the overall fifth position. In the Supercampion classification Cairoli leads with the score of 240 points, followed by Febvre (180 p.) and Tannel Leok (105 p.).
Great performance for Mattia Guadagnini (Husqvarna – Team Maddii Racing) who was able to race at his best the Noto track, where the many channels along the circuit made difficult to ride 125cc bikes. As well as in Riola Sardo, he won with a clear confidence respect to his challengers. Behind the winner, Emilio Scuteri (KTM Team Celestini) gained twice the second position, but without being able to fight with the leader. Third placed in Heat #1 Alberto Barcella (Husqvarna Team Maddii Racing), but the last jump of the podium was taken by Alessandro Facca (KTM Marchetti Racing), who gained the third position in Heat #2. Sarasso and Corti won the Holeshot Just1 in the two heats. In the championship classification Guadagnini leads with 960 points, followed by Scuteri with 880 and Facca at 490 points.
