MXGP of Italy is the 2018 Season Grand Finale
MONACO (Principato di Monaco), dicembre 2017 – Youthstream è lieta di presentare il Gran Finale 2018 del Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross che si svolgerà ad Imola il 29 e 30 settembre e sarà ora denominato MXGP d’Italia.
L’ultimo round della stagione MXGP 2018 è destinato ad essere epico riportando la Tradizione del Motocross ad Imola dopo la gara internazionale organizzata da Checco Costa nel 1948. Dopo 70 anni il Motocross è tornato in una pista costruita utilizzando il Paddock e la Collina della Rivazza che permetterà alle migliaia di fan italiani di assistere alla corsa al suo meglio.
Insieme alle classi MXGP e MX2, si svolgerà anche l’ultimo round del WMX e dell’EMX300 Championships. Molti eroi nazionali saranno presenti ad Imola quel fine settimana, Antonio Cairoli e Kiara Fontanesi i principali.
Il vicepresidente di Youthstream, David Luongo, ha dichiarato: “È un grande onore per Youthstream portare il campionato mondiale FIM MXGP ad Imola per il Gran Premio d’Italia, uno dei circuiti più prestigiosi e conosciuti al mondo. Vorremmo ringraziare il signor Uberto Selvatico Estense e tutto il suo team per la decisione di riportare il Motocross nella sede, siamo sicuri che la pista e tutte le attività intorno all’evento saranno eccezionali e che i fan sperimenteranno qualcosa di unico, una nuova dimensione più grande. »
Il direttore dell’Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Pier Giovanni Ricci, ha dichiarato: “Siamo molto orgogliosi di essere l’evento unico in Italia chiamato MXGP d’Italia nel 2018. Questo testimonia il grande impegno che l’Autodromo ha in questo progetto e l’appeal che ha a livello internazionale. L’Italia ha raggiunto un grande successo nel Motocross grazie alle eccellenze italiane di Antonio Cairoli e Kiara Fontanesi che correranno entrambe a settembre per chiudere i loro campionati e speriamo di vederli battersi per un’altra corona del Campionato. Invito tutti i fan a non perdere questo fantastico spettacolo e questo è il motivo per cui abbiamo deciso di aprire i negozi delle biglietterie con 10 mesi di anticipo, al fine di rispondere a tutte le richieste che abbiamo già. ”
Il 9 volte campione del mondo di motocross FIM, Antonio Cairoli, ha dichiarato: “Sono felice di vedere che Imola è in calendario per il 2018, è uno scenario suggestivo che conferisce prestigio all’MXGP, inoltre perché è l’ultimo GP dell’anno , potrebbe essere il posto giusto per celebrare qualcosa di speciale davanti ai miei fan “.
Kiara Fontanesi, 5 volte campione del mondo femminile di motocross, ha dichiarato: Sono davvero felice di sapere che 3 delle 6 gare saranno in Italia il prossimo anno. Per me è una possibilità che probabilmente non tornerà mai più. Correre sul terreno di casa è in qualche modo un vantaggio, quindi sono davvero eccitata per la prossima stagione. Finire la stagione a Imola significa avere la possibilità di vincere il campionato davanti a tutta la mia famiglia e ai fan su una nuova pista e in un nuovo evento che sono sicura sarà davvero incredibile!

MONACO (Principality of Monaco), 14 December 2017 – Youthstream is pleased to present the 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship Grand Finale which is taking place in Imola on September 29th and 30th will be now called the MXGP of Italy.
The last round of the 2018 MXGP season is bound to be epic bringing back the Motocross Tradition to Imola after the the international race organised by Checco Costa in 1948. After 70 years Motocross is back in a track built using the Paddock 2 and ‘Collina della Rivazza’ allowing the thousands of Italian fans to witness the racing at its best.
Together with the MXGP and MX2 Classes also the last round of the WMX and the EMX300 Presented by FMF Racing Championships will take place along with the Yamaha YZ125 SuperFinale. Many national heroes will be present in Imola that weekend, Antonio Cairoli and Kiara Fontanesi the main.
Youthstream Vice President David Luongo stated: “It is a great honor for Youthstream to bring the FIM MXGP World Championship to Imola for the Grand Prix of Italy, one of the most prestigious and well known circuits in the World. We would like to thank Mr. Uberto Selvatico Estense and all of his team for the decision of bringing back Motocross to the venue. We are sure the track and all the activities around the event will be outstanding and that the fans will experience something unique. This event will bring MXGP into a new, bigger dimension.»
Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari Director Pier Giovanni Ricci said: “We are very proud to be the unique event in Italy called MXGP of Italy in 2018. This witnesses the great commitment the Autodromo has in this project and the appeal it has at international level. Italy has reached big success in Motocross thanks to the Italian excellences of Antonio Cairoli and Kiara Fontanesi who will both be racing in September to close their championships and we hope to see them batting for another Championship crown. I invite all the fans to not to miss this fantastic show and this is the reason we decided to open the ticketing shops 10 months in advance, in order to respond to all requests we already have”
9-time FIM Motocross World Champion Antonio Cairoli shared: “I’m happy to see that Imola is on the calendar for 2018, it’s a suggestive scenario that bring prestige to MXGP, moreover due to the fact that is the last GP of the year, it could be the right place to celebrate something special in front of my fans.”
5-time Women’s Motocross World Champion Kiara Fontanesi said: I’m really happy to know that 3 of 6 races will be in Italy next year. That’s for me a chance I’ll probably will never get back. Racing on your home soil it’s somehow an advantage so I’m really excited for next season. Ending the season in Imola means a chance to win the championship in front of all my family and fans on a new track and at a new event which I’m sure is going to be really amazing!
