Gajser reaffirms commitment to MXGP with Team HRC
Tim Gajser, il campione del mondo MXGP 2016, rimarrà con il Team HRC nel Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross, MXGP, per altri due anni dopo la firma di un accordo con Honda Racing Corporation.
Sebbene non sia stato un segreto che GT243 abbia il desiderio di correre negli Stati Uniti, almeno a breve termine, insieme a HRC e al team Gariboldi, ha deciso di rimanere in MXGP dove seguirà una nuova sfida per riportare il Campionato del mondo a Honda a bordo del tanto venerato CRF450RW # 243.
L’attuale accordo di Gajser con Honda, firmato nel 2015, durerà almeno fino al 2020. Lo sloveno è entrato nella marca giapponese per la stagione 2014 e da allora la sua ascesa è stata notevole: sei podi in GP seguiti in quel primo anno, poi il 2015 ha portato la sua prima vittoria in gara per il titolo del suo campionato del mondo MX2. L’anno successivo, è diventato uno dei soli quattro piloti Honda a prendere vittorie consecutive in diverse classi con il suo titolo di Campionato del Mondo MXGP.
Per la stagione 2018, GT243 si schiera su Honda CRF450RW ulteriormente migliorata insieme a Brian Bogers sulla moto numero 5, e con il compagno di squadra Calvin Vlaanderen sulla CRF250RW numero 10, tutti in corsa da sotto la tenda del Team HRC gestita da Gariboldi.
Di recente, Gajser ha partecipato all’Honda Racing Thanks Day a Motegi, in Giappone, il tradizionale evento fan di fine stagione che riunisce le stelle e i campioni del mondo di Honda Racing e una tribuna piena di fan. Oltre a Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa, Jenson Button, Stoffel Vandoorne, Akira Narita e Takuma Sato, Gajser ha preso parte a una serie di attività su pista che includevano i kart da competizione, Super Cubs e Honda Sport & Eco Fit.

“Sono davvero felice di essere in MXGP per altri due anni. Abbiamo affari in sospeso da quest’anno e voglio essere di nuovo campione del mondo, quindi continueremo a lottare con questo come priorità. HRC ha lavorato sodo sulla moto e ci sono alcuni cambiamenti che ha fatto e che sono molto buoni, quindi non vedo l’ora di affrontare la sfida del prossimo anno e penso che abbiamo un pacchetto molto forte per combattere al titolo. L’intero team è più affamato che mai per il prossimo anno, e l’ho già detto prima, ma andiamo avanti come una famiglia dove tutto funziona così davvero ho tutto ciò di cui ho bisogno e mi sento molto felice “.

Gajser reaffirms commitment to MXGP with Team HRC
Tim Gajser, the 2016 MXGP World Champion, will remain with Team HRC in the FIM Motocross World Championship, MXGP, for another two years following the signing of an agreement with Honda Racing Corporation.
Whilst it has been no secret that GT243 has a desire to race in the United States, for the short term at least, he, alongside HRC and the Gariboldi team, has decided to remain in MXGP where he will mount a new challenge to bring the World Championship back to Honda aboard the much-revered #243 CRF450RW.
Gajser’s current deal with Honda, which was signed in 2015, runs until at least 2020. The Slovenian joined the Japanese marque for the 2014 season and since then his ascent has been remarkable – six GP podiums followed in that first year, then 2015 brought his first race win en route to his MX2 World Championship title. The next year, he became one of just four Honda riders to take back-to-back crowns in different classes with his rookie MXGP World Championship title.
For the 2018 season, GT243 lines up on a further-improved Honda CRF450RW alongside Brian Bogers on the #5 machine, and with teammate Calvin Vlaanderen on the #10 CRF250RW, all running from beneath the Gariboldi-run Team HRC awning.
Gajser has recently attended the Honda Racing Thanks Day in Motegi, Japan – the traditional season-ending fan event which brings together Honda Racing’s stars and world champions and a packed grandstand of fans. Alongside the likes of Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa, Jenson Button, Stoffel Vandoorne, Akira Narita and Takuma Sato, Gajser took part in a range of track activities which included racing karts, Super Cubs, and Honda Sport & Eco Fit cars.

“I’m really happy to be in MXGP for another two years. We have unfinished business from this year and I want to be World Champion again, so we will continue to fight with that as the priority. HRC have been working hard on the bike and there are quite a few changes they’ve made which are very good, so I’m really looking forward to the challenge of next year and I think we have a very strong package to fight for the title. The whole team are hungrier than ever for next year, and I’ve said it before but we just get on really like a family where everything works so really I have everything I need there and feel very happy.”
