Per il settimo anno consecutivo, Lacapelle Marival sarà il 18 febbraio uno dei “posti migliori” per i fan di Motocross, dato che la pista francese organizzerà uno degli ultimi Motocross internazionali prima del GP in Argentina.
Situato nel sud ovest della Francia, Lacapelle Marival ha una storia prestigiosa in quanto il club ha organizzato diversi Gran Premi (Sidecar, Women e MX3) ma anche campionati europei e francesi. Ora si concentra completamente sul loro evento di pre-stagione, che ora è il principale in Francia da quando Valence ha interrotto il suo evento internazionale e, mentre parlano con altri club europei, non c’è alcun conflitto di date con Hawkstone Park. Alcune delle squadre che correranno nel Regno Unito l’11 febbraio si recheranno quindi a Lacapelle, per la loro ultima gara pre-campionato, prima di volare in Argentina. “L’anno scorso avevamo una linea forte e sembra che quest’anno sarà ancora meglio”, ha dichiarato Vincent Ayroles, ex pilota MX e membro dello staff. “Abbiamo avuto un buon riscontro dai team a febbraio e il nostro obiettivo è migliorare ancora l’anno prossimo. Stiamo parlando con quasi tutti i team ufficiali, e anche se c’è l’ultimo round del campionato italiano alla stessa data siamo ottimisti visto che abbiamo già firmato con Kawasaki KRT, Yamaha Kemea, Husqvarna Rockstar e Bud Racing Kawasaki. Di sicuro entro poche settimane alcuni altri nomi di punta saranno confermati “, ha continuato.
Come al solito, i piloti MX2 ei piloti MXGP disputeranno gare separate (due manche per classe) prima della Super Finale, dove il miglior rappresentante di ogni classe si unirà per la gara finale. “Tutti hanno apprezzato questo formato di gara, quindi lo manteniamo. L’evento sarà organizzato in un solo giorno, in modo da poter conservare la pista come all’inizio della stagione; Le sessioni di prove e le gare si terranno domenica 18 “, ha proseguito. L’anno scorso Clement Desalle e Benoit Paturel hanno vinto le classi MXGP e MX2.

Located in southern west of France, Lacapelle Marival has a prestigious story as the club organised several Grand Prix (Sidecar, Women and MX3) but also European and French Championship rounds. They are now fully focus on their pre season event, which is now the main one in France since Valence stopped his International event, and as they talk with other top European clubs there is no date conflict with Hawkstone Park. Some of the teams racing in UK on February 11th will then travel to Lacapelle, for their last pre season race before flying to Argentina. “Last year we had a strong line up and it seems that this year will be even better,” said Vincent Ayroles, former MX rider and member of the staff. “We had a good feedback from the teams in February, and our goal is to do even better next year. We are talking with nearly all the factory teams, and even if there’s the last round of the Italian Championship at the same date we are optimistic as we already signed with Kawasaki KRT, Yamaha Kemea, Husqvarna Rockstar and Bud Racing Kawasaki. For sure within a few weeks some other top names will be confirmed,” he continued.
As usual the MX2 riders and MXGP riders will have separate races (two heats per class) before the Super final where the best representative of each class will join for the final race. “ Everyone enjoyed this race format, so we keep it. The event will be organized on a single day, so we can preserve the track as we’ll be early in the season; practice sessions and races will take place on Sunday 18th,” he continued. Last year Clement Desalle and Benoit Paturel won the MXGP and MX2 classes.
