Il 24MX Honda racing chiude!

Il team belga 24MX Honda, gestito da MPL Racing, sta chiudendo alla fine di questo mese. I tentativi di stabilire una base finanziaria per il team sono purtroppo falliti. E ‘con profondo dispiacere che la squadra annuncia il suo ritiro dopo due stagioni di gare al massimo livello.

Fondata alla fine del 2015, la struttura MPL Racing ha gareggiato con piloti come Damon Graulus, Ken De Dycker, Priit Rätsep, Steven Lenoir e Matiss Karro. Sia Graulus che De Dycker hanno ottenuto il tredicesimo posto in MXGP, il miglior risultato del campionato del mondo. Graulus ha anche collezionato diversi podi nelle gare internazionali. Attualmente MPL Racing valuta la possibilità di unire le forze con un team EMX250 o MX2 esistente. Ciò consentirebbe di rafforzare una squadra che è già in atto e continuerà l’ambizione di sostenere i talenti emergenti e futuri.

Il direttore e proprietario della squadra Marc Boone: “Il funzionamento e la gestione di un team MXGP agli elevati standard a cui aspiriamo è sempre più difficile per un team privato. Purtroppo siamo giunti alla conclusione che è troppo grande per la nostra organizzazione mettere in campo una struttura finanziaria sostenibile che garantisca la stabilità a lungo termine. Vorrei ringraziare Honda, 24MX, tutti i nostri partner, piloti e personale per il loro impegno e professionalità. Ultimo ma non meno importante, grazie a tutti i fan che ci hanno mostrato il loro sostegno e la loro amicizia “.

The Belgian MXGP team 24MX Honda, ran by MPL Racing, is shutting down at the end of this month. Attempts to establish a stable financial foundation for the team have unfortunately failed. It’s with deep regret that the team announces its retirement after two seasons of racing at the highest level.

Established at the end of 2015 the MPL Racing structure competed with riders like Damon Graulus, Ken De Dycker, Priit Rätsep, Steven Lenoir and Matiss Karro. Both Graulus and De Dycker rode to 13th in MXGP, the team’s best world championship result. Graulus also collected several podiums in international races. MPL Racing currently evaluates the possibility to join forces with an existing EMX250 or MX2 team. This would allow to strengthen a team that’s already in place and continue the ambition of supporting talented up and coming riders.
