Lupino ottimista con il ritorno alla Kawasaki Technology per il 2018
La star di Motocross delle Nazioni d’Italia, Alessandro Lupino, è già positivo nei confronti delle sue prospettive nel 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship dopo aver confermato un ritorno alla tecnologia di Kawasaki KX attraverso un contratto con la squadra di Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki Racing per la prossima stagione.
Il 26enne ha concluso la campagna MXGP e la sua carica con l’equipaggio di Assomotor Honda con una prestazione al quarto posto nel fango di Matterley Basin e il secondo nel Motocross delle Nazioni del 2017 nel Regno Unito. Lupino è ora concentrato sul suo ritorno con il verde Kawasaki, avendo guidato una moto Factory per l’ex squadra di CLS nel 2013 e nel 2014 e in un incantesimo dove ha raccolto due finali sul podio Grand Prix; un percorso che potrebbe essere stato segnato per lesioni.
“Ho avuto una grande sensazione con il Kawasaki e penso che sia stata una delle migliori moto con cui ho corso”, ha detto esclusivamente. “Sono stati alcuni momenti buoni nella mia carriera”.
“La squadra di Gebben Van Venrooy è piuttosto nuova, ma ho già una buona sensazione e sarò in Olanda molto prima dell’anno prossimo”, ha aggiunto. “Sarò anche in Sardegna per l’inverno ma il mio obiettivo è prepararmi alla stagione Grand Prix vicino alla squadra”.
Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki Racing ha annunciato che l’ex pilota Maxime Desprey da podio in MX2 sarà in competizione per la squadra nel 2018 e accanto all’italiano.

Lupino optimistic with return to Kawasaki technology for 2018
Italy’s Motocross of Nations star, Alessandro Lupino, is already positive about his prospects in the 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship after confirming a return to Kawasaki KX technology through a contract with the Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki Racing team for next season.
The 26 year old ended the MXGP campaign and his tenure with the Assomotor Honda crew with a head-turning fourth position in the mud of Matterley Basin and the second moto of the 2017 Motocross of Nations in the UK. Lupino is now focussed on his reunion with Kawasaki green, having steered a factory bike for the former CLS squad in 2013 and 2014 and in a spell where he gathered two Grand Prix podium finishes; a haul that could have been more if not for injury.
“I had a great feeling with the Kawasaki and I think it was one of the best bikes I have ridden,” he said exclusively. “They were some good times in my career.”
“The Gebben Van Venrooy team is quite new but I have a good feeling already and will be based in Holland quite a lot next year,” he added. “I’ll be in Sardinia as well for the winter but my aim is to prepare for the Grand Prix season close to the team.”
Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki Racing have announced that Lupino’s former MX2 podium finishing-peer Maxime Desprey will compete for the squad again in 2018 and alongside the Italian.
