Desalle expecting swift Kawasaki return

Desalle expecting swift Kawasaki return

2017 MXGP Grand Prix winner Clement Desalle should be back on the factory Monster Energy Kawasaki this month after a positive examination from doctors in the first days of October. The Belgian missed the last meeting of the series in France at the beginning of September due to a crash at Assen and the Dutch round that left the 28 year old with a broken C6 vertebra. #25 also had to withdraw from the Belgian Motocross of Nations team as a result of the injury.

Desalle has been resting and recuperating but was told that his recovery programme was going well and he should be able to start making laps on the KX450F with a view towards testing in November and December if his back responds well to the bike time.

Clement and Kawasaki finished 2017 as the best-placed Japanese manufacturer in the championship with fourth position and won Grands Prix in France and Russia.
