Team HRC MX2 represent Italy at the Motocross of Nations
HRC MX2 Michele Cervellin si affianca al suo CRF250RW accanto ai compagni piloti di Alessandro Lupino e al MXGP World Champion; Antonio Cairoli, per rappresentare l’Italia nel Motocross delle Nazioni di questo fine settimana.
Dopo aver perso gli ultimi due GP della stagione a causa di un infortunio, Cervellin tornerà in azione questo fine settimana a combattere con i suoi compagni di squadra per l’orgoglio nazionale. Il Motocross delle Nazioni torna a Matterley Basin nel Regno Unito quest’anno. L’ultima volta che si sono tenute le “Olimpiadi del Motocross” qui è stato nel 2006. La pista è famosa per le sue straordinarie viste panoramiche che consente ai fan di guardare la corsa svolgersi da qualsiasi punto si trovino attorno alla pista.
Il Motocross delle Nazioni è un evento annuale che seleziona i migliori tre piloti di ogni paese partecipante per competere per l’orgoglio nazionale. L’azione sulla pista si avvia sabato con le qualifiche e Domenica 1 ottobre per la gara. La corsa è in tre manche con punteggi in MXGP, MX2 e Open l’uno contro l’altro.

Questa è la terza volta che competo nel Nazioni e guidare per il tuo paese significa dare il 100%. Anche se la mia condizione fisica non è altrettanto buona con la ferita che ho raccolto negli Stati Uniti. Cercherò sempre di fare del mio meglio in pista con il nuovo CRF250RW. Questa sarà la mia ultima gara con la HRC, ma credo che sia una buona gara per finire, perché siamo una squadra solida specialmente avendo il campione del mondo Antonio Cairoli in squadra, quindi speriamo di salire sul podio.

È bello vedere tornare a bordo Miki per il motocross delle nazioni e che ha superato il peggio di cui ha sofferto al GP degli Stati Uniti. È un evento diverso per noi questo fine settimana in quanto questo è una corsa a squadre nazionali piuttosto che team e produttori, ma è la stessa quantità di lavoro per competere qui a Matterley Basin. Conosciamo bene la pista, anche se ha alcune nuove caratteristiche che dovrebbero soddisfare Miki e la sua squadra italiana. Sono stati vicini al podio in passato, quindi non vediamo l’ora di cercare di realizzare questo in questo evento.

HRC MX2 Michele Cervellin lines up on his CRF250RW alongside fellow rider Alessandro Lupino and MXGP World Champion; Antonio Cairoli, to represent Italy in this weekend’s Motocross of Nations.
After missing the last two GP’s of the season due to groin strain, Cervellin will be back in action this weekend fighting with his team mates for national pride. The Motocross of Nations returns to Matterley Basin in the UK this year. The last time the ‘Olympics of Motocross’ was held here was in 2006. The track is famous for its stunning panoramic views which enables fans to watch the racing unfold from almost anywhere they are positioned around the track.
The Motocross of Nations is an annual event that selects the best three riders from each participating country to compete for national pride. Action on track gets underway on Saturday 1st October for practice and qualifying. The racing gets underway on Sunday in three races pitting MXGP, MX2 and Open class riders against each other.

This is the third time I would have competed in the Nations and to ride for your country means you give it 100%. Although my physical condition isn’t quite as good as it could be following the injury I picked up in the US. I will always try to do my best on track with the new CRF250RW. This will be my last race with HRC but I think it is a good race to end with as we are a solid team especially having the world champion Antonio Cairoli on the team, so hopefully we will get on the podium.

It is good to have Miki back on board for the Motocross of Nations having got over the worst of his groin strain that he suffered at the US GP. It is a different event for us this weekend as this is racing for national teams rather than manufacturer teams but it is the same amount of work to compete here in Matterley Basin. We know the track quite well, it has some new features which should suit Miki and his Italian team. They have been close to the podium in the past so we are looking forward to trying to achieve that at this event.
