MXGP mira a venti round in calendario!!!
Il calendario MXGP 2018 dovrà essere pubblicato tra pochi giorni dopo il Motocross delle Nazioni a Matterley Basin il 1 ottobre e le squadre nel corso dello scorso fine settimana al Gran Premio di Pays de Montbeliard nel round di chiusura stagionale, sono state informate che il calendario si estenderà a venti turni.
La campagna del 2018 potrebbe già superare il campionato finito di recente come il più lungo nella storia dello sport e dal momento che il FIM ha aggiornato il motocross da uno statuto europeo al mondo nel 1957.
A quanto pare, il percorso dei Gran Premi comporterà ancora quattro eventi “flyaway”, ma c’è qualche dubbio sul fatto che MXGP tornerà nuovamente in Nord America per una doppia fermata sia negli USA che nel Messico. Sembra che la serie FIM inizierà ancora in Argentina ed è già confermata la fine del campionato nel circuito di Imola in Italia. Con l’Argentina e l’Indonesia che rappresentano date sudamericane e asiatiche, c’è qualche speculazione in cui gli altri due turni non europei saranno in Malaysia e l’altra probabilmente a Dubai.
Con il Motocross delle Nazioni 2018 alla ricerca di una base americana, l’anno prossimo le possibilità di un altro USGP sono anche in bilancio.

MXGP aiming for twenty round calendar
The 2018 MXGP calendar is due to be published a few days after the Motocross of Nations at Matterley Basin on October 1st and teams and brands were allegedly told last weekend at the season-closing Grand Prix of Pays de Montbeliard that the schedule will stretch to twenty rounds.
The 2018 campaign could already overtake the recently finished championship as the longest in the sports history and since the FIM upgraded motocross from European to World status in 1957.
Apparently the Grand Prix trail will still involve four ‘flyaway’ events but there is some doubt over whether MXGP will again travel to North America for a double stop in both the USA and Mexico. It seems as though the FIM series will still start in Argentina and is already confirmed to end at the Imola circuit in Italy. With Argentina and Indonesia representing South American and Asian dates, there is some speculation where the other two non-European rounds will be with Malaysia and possibly Dubai in the frame.
With the 2018 Motocross of Nations looking for an American home next year the chances of another USGP are also in the balance.
