Nagl in TM?

Nagl to TM?

A hot rumour from the USGP at WW Motocross Ranch last weekend revolved around the return of the Italian factory TM to the MXGP category with an official entry and Max Nagl tipped to steer the MX450 FI.

Nagl has known for over a month that he will not be retained for a third season in the works Rockstar Energy IceOne Husqvarna squad with current teammates Gautier Paulin and Max Anstie already contracted for 2018. The German has since been looking for a factory-supported opportunity, along with a number of other riders, but the former GP winner with KTM, Honda and Husky had limited options.

The recently-turned 30 year old was connected with the distinctive blue of TM and the MX 450 FI; a motorcycle known for its speed but yet to taken to the MXGP podium. Nagl is keen to remain in Grand Prix racing and a slot at TM will represent his fourth factory seat

TM have pushed ahead with MX2 participation in 2017 with Anton Gole and Samuele Bernardini but the acquisition of Nagl and his Grand Prix winning pedigree might see the Italians focus once again on the premier class.
