Searle sulla squadra GBR MX delle nazioni chance: “sarò in forma e pronto …”

“Ci sono altri piloti degni di essere scelti e non ho gareggiato tutto l’anno, quindi è difficile per me dire” io dovrei essere nella squadra “, quindi non c’è ragione per cui dovrei essere scelto ma sa che posso guidare una moto bene e fare un lavoro per il mio paese “.

Searle on Team GBR MX of Nations chances: “I’ll be fit and ready…”
The host team of the 2017 Motocross of Nations at Matterley Basin on October 1st is expected to be announced in the coming days and new overseer of the squad, Mark Chamberlain, has faced a difficult task is selecting the three riders in charge of the Union Jack for what is expected to be a large crowd and passionate atmosphere in southern England next month. The 27 year old excelled for Britain the last time he rode a KX250F at the 2014 edition of the Nations in Latvia. He also won his last outing on a 250 at Matterley Basin for the 2012 MX2 Grand Prix. Searle actually celebrated his first podium finish at Matterley as a sixteen year old in 2006. The Englishman can easily run one of Steve Dixon’s Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki KX250Fs.
Watson has had his best season in MX2 and has the national title while Mewse’s form in the last few Grands Prix has shown marked improvement. Simpson is expected to return to racing at the Grand Prix of Sweden next weekend after a decent recovery from a broken left arm and has won in MXGP this year; a wet and rutty Matterly could present similar conditions to those in Indonesia where the Scot triumphed.
Current buzz around Team GBR seems to fall around Searle and the Nations veteran is keen to salvage something from a frustrating and quiet 2017 so far. “It is obviously Mark Chamberlain’s choice but I’d love to race and represent the country at the Des Nations and by the time the race comes around I’ll be in good shape,” he said. “It was next weekend then I would say “don’t pick me” but I still have a few weeks to get in good shape and I’ll be fit and ready.
“There are other riders worthy to be picked and I havent raced all year so it is hard for me to say ‘I should be on the team’, so there is no reason why I should be picked but he knows I can ride a bike well and do a job for my county.”
“If I am on the spot then it will be for the 250 and I’d love to be there,” he added. Searle classified fifteenth on Sunday at Frauenfeld but by his own admission missed race mileage and fitness at the sharp end.
