MXGP 2018 inizia in Argentina e il Qatar è perso!
L’imminente calendario provvisorio del 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship conferma la partenza direttamente da Neuquen e il Gran Premio d’Argentina come il round di apertura della serie del prossimo anno dopo che i negoziamenti tra i promotori Youthstream, Losail e il QMMF in Qatar non sono arrivati a nulla.
MXGP inizierà in Sud America per la prima volta questo secolo prima di tornare in Europa e poi si andrà verso una doppia tappa asiatica con Indonesia e Malesia come probabili destinazioni.
Il presidente YS Giuseppe Luongo è stato a trattare con gli organizzatori del circuito di Imola ad Ottobiano lo scorso fine settimana per confermare la nuova avventura della struttura con motocross e staging. L’evento finale del Campionato del 2018 sarà la tappa italiana, ha commentato che il tentativo di rinnovare il quinquennale accordo per tenere il Gran Premio di Qatar – Come primo round per MXGP da mezzo decennio – Aveva colpito negativamente e ora la gara atmosferica in argentina e molto amata, prenderà l’attenzione dei fan di motocross in tutto il mondo l’anno prossimo.
“Il contratto [con Qatar] è finito quest’anno e siamo stati in trattative per diversi mesi, ma è stato molto difficile continuare “, ha rivelato Luongo. “Era un problema di bilancio; loro hanno molte restrizioni e non abbiamo trovato un accordo, quindi saremo senza Qatar nel calendario. Invece inizieremo in Argentina “.
L’elenco provvisorio di prossima pubblicazione (Ieri è uscita l’anteprima che potete trovare qui sotto) per il 2018 MXGP sarà ratificato con il funzionario, la versione del calendario FIM sarà aggiornato e confermato questo inverno.

La Svizzera ha inizia la seconda edizione MXGP a Frauenfeld
Il Gran Premio della Svizzera 2016 nella struttura costruita a Frauenfeld-Gachnang vicino a Zurigo è stato uno dei migliori eventi del programma MXGP dello scorso anno. 45.000 tifosi hanno riempito il circuito che accoglierà per una terza edizione il GP svizzero nel 2018 e questo 13 agosto la quindicesima tappa di diciannove round.
Il direttore Willy Laderach è stato recentemente avvistato al Mugello per la gara italiana di MotoGP e ha rivelato che il circuito e l’organizzazione subiranno alcuni cambiamenti per la visita estiva di MXGP.
“Abbiamo imparato molte cose nel primo tentativo”, ha detto. “In molti posti stavamo spingendo al 150% ed era molto costoso e quindi il nostro risultato del primo anno non era così carino. Abbiamo dovuto costruire la pista e questo ci è costato più di 200.000 franchi svizzeri. Ora l’abbiamo costruita nuova e possiamo usare diversi aspetti in modo diverso molto più in economia! “
Frauenfeld-Gachnang ha mescolato un paddock disperso e set-up con un layout racing chiuso dagli spettatori. Laderach ha spiegato che l’esperienza dei tifosi dovrebbe essere arricchita in agosto e la partecipazione dovrebbe contribuire a rafforzare gli sforzi dell’attuale sfidante del titolo MX2 Jeremy Seewer, che ha vinto il Gran Premio della Lombardia lo scorso fine settimana e ha combattuto per la vittoria contro Max Anstie nel 2016 .
“Avremo una nuova area di partenza e di arrivo che sarà molto più interessante per gli spettatori”, dice. “Avremo più tribune e spazio per più persone.
Un team svizzero di aeromobili farà uno spettacolo e il ministro svizzero per lo sport verra ‘a vedere il motocross. Siamo felici di costruire la pista per la seconda edizione e speriamo che molte persone verranno e che i piloti svizzeri siano pronti: Jeremy, in particolare, è in seconda posizione e ha buone possibilità di essere campione del mondo “.
Come di sicuro succede, Frauenfeld-Gachnang potrebbe affrontare un rinnovato controllo. Nel 2016 il Gran Premio è stato colpito da forti precipitazioni neli giorni prima e fu caldo e soleggiato per entrambi i giorni di azione. L’irrigazione poi ha contribuito a creare un terreno difficile e tecnico che fu positivamente accolto dai piloti e staff MXGP. “L’anno scorso abbiamo avuto gente che diceva che la pista non sarebbe stata bella per i piloti, ma quasi tutti hanno detto che è stata una delle migliori della stagione”, ha detto Laderach. “Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi. Quindi il layout sarà praticamente lo stesso … solo un po ‘più lungo “.
Max Anstie e Tony Cairoli hanno vinto in Svizzera l’anno scorso in occasione di un evento che è stato anche notevole come l’ultimo Grand Prix di Dylan Ferrandis a causa di un braccio rotto in prova.

MXGP 2018 to start in Argentina as Qatar falls through
The imminent 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship provisional calendar will hoist Neuquen and the Grand Prix of Argentina as the opening round of next year’s series after negotiations between promoters Youthstream and Losail and the QMMF in Qatar came to nothing.
MXGP will start in South America for the first time this century before returning to Europe and then looking towards a double Asian stop with Indonesia and Malaysia likely destinations.
Youthstream President Giuseppe Luongo was on-hand with organisers at the Imola circuit in Ottobiano last weekend to confirm the facility’s new venture with motocross and staging of the final event of the 2018 trail. The Italian commented that attempts to renew the five-year agreement to hold the Grand Prix of Qatar – the first meeting for MXGP for half a decade – had hit an impasse and now the atmospheric and widely liked Argentinean race will draw the attention of motocross fans around the globe next year.
“The contract [with Qatar] finished this year and we were in negotiations for several months but it was very difficult to continue,” Luongo revealed. “It was a problem of budget; they have a lot of restrictions and we don't find an agreement and we will be without Qatar on the calendar. Instead we will start in Argentina.”
The soon-to- be released provisional list for 2018 MXGP will be ratified with the official version of the calendar at the FIM congress this winter.
Switzerland primed for second edition of MXGP at Frauenfeld
The 2016 Grand Prix of Switzerland at the purpose-built Frauenfeld-Gachnang facility and close to Zurich was one of the best events of last year’s MXGP schedule. 45,000 fans packed the circuit that will again welcome just the third edition of the Swiss GP this century on August 16th and the fifteenth fixture of nineteen.
Overseer Willy Laderach was recently spotted at Mugello for the Italian round of MotoGP and revealed that the circuit and organisation will undergo some changes for the summer visit by MXGP.
“We learned a lot of things in the first attempt,” he said. “In a lot of places we were pushing 150% and it was very expensive and so our first year ‘result’ was not so pretty. We had to build back the track and this costs more than 200,000 Swiss francs. Now we have built it up new and we can use different aspects in a different way and much cheaper!”
Frauenfeld-Gachnang mixed a dispersed paddock and set-up with an enclosed and spectator-friendly racing layout. Laderach explained that the fans’ experience should be enriched in August, and the attendance should help to boost the efforts of current MX2 title challenger Jeremy Seewer, who won last weekend’s Grand Prix of Lombardia and fought for victory against Max Anstie at the site in 2016.
“We will have a new start and finish area which will be much more interesting for the spectators,” he says. “We will have more grandstands and space for more people.
A Swiss aircraft team will do a show and a Swiss Minister for Sport will come to see motocross. We are very happy to build the track up for the second edition and we hope a lot of people will come and that the Swiss riders are ready: Jeremy especially, he is in second position and has good possibilities to be world champion.”
As a course Frauenfeld-Gachnang could face renewed scrutiny. In 2016 the Grand Prix was hit by heavy rainfall in the build-up and was hot and sunny for both days of action. The showers helped create a rough and technical soil that was positively received by the MXGP fraternity. “Last year we had people saying the track would not be so nice for the riders but almost everyone said it was one of the best of the season,” Laderach said. “We were pleasantly surprised. So the layout will be practically the same…just a little bit longer.”
Anstie and Tony Cairoli ran out winners in Switzerland last year at an event that was also notable as Dylan Ferrandis’ last Grand Prix appearance due to a broken arm in practice.
