Gajser “provare” l’altro lato del motocross
Il campione del mondo di MXGP Tim Gajser ha raccolto il suo più grande traguardo degli ultimi cinque round dell’attuale campagna FIM ad Ottobiano lo scorso fine settimana su quello che è stato il suo ritorno alla serie dopo i Grands Prix mancati in Francia e Russia. Il pilota HRC aveva recuperato sufficientemente dalla ferita alla spalla per rientrare nel campo della prima categoria e sopravvisse ad altre due cadute al decimo posto complessivo.
Gasjer, ancora venti anni, ha sperimentato l”altra faccia’ dello sport dopo le sue pesanti cadute e aver segnato DNF, in Lettonia ha fatto un buco nella sua speranza di difendere la corona e ha rovinato le possibilità di vincere tre titoli in fila. Attualmente è al 5 ° posto e 149 punti dietro Tony Cairoli.
“Per me è difficile perché voglio andare a vincere ogni volta che vado in moto, ma ho anche assaggiato il lato negativo”, ha detto esclusivamente in Italia. “Ho avuto la sensazione di vincere per due anni e quando tutto va in maniera perfetta, ma ora ho assaggiato l’altro lato”.
Lo sloveno ha ammesso di aver preso il suo ritorno ai Grand Prix un po ‘troppo inpreparato. “Sono stato sulla moto solo quattro volte prima di venire qui e non avevo allenamento fino a quando sono caduto in Lettonia, perciò oltre due mesi!” Ha detto. “Sapevamo che sarebbe stato difficile venire qui su una pista di sabbia, ma avevo fame di correre e non avevo più dolore. Non ero sicuro però, ma sono anche un po ‘deluso perché avevo una buona velocità; Ho spinto un po ‘troppo nella prima manche e sono uscito senza energia. Mi sono schiantato due volte nella seconda manche. Lo sport può essere talmente difficile, ma prenderò tempo e tornerò forte “.
Su undici round Gajser ha due vittorie GP e quattro podi ed è a coda di Cairoli in termini di guida per la più grande quantità di giri. È l’unico altro pilota ad aver ottenuto la tabella rossa in MXGP questa stagione.

Gajser “tastes” the other side of motocross
MXGP World Champion Tim Gajser picked up his biggest haul of points from the last five rounds of the current FIM campaign at Ottobiano last weekend on what was his return to the series after missing Grands Prix in France and Russia. The HRC rider had recovered sufficiently from his shoulder injury to re-join the premier class field and survived two more crashes to place tenth overall.
Gasjer, still just twenty years old, experienced the ‘other side’ of the sport after his heavy crash and DNF in Latvia put a hole in his hopes of defending his crown and ruined the chances of winning three titles in a row. He currently sits fifth and 149 points behind Tony Cairoli.
“For me it is hard because I want to win every time I get on the bike but I have also tasted the negative side now,” he said exclusively in Italy. “I have had that sensation of winning for two years and when everything goes perfectly but now I have tasted the other side.”
The Slovenian admitted that he made his Grand Prix comeback somewhat under-prepared. “I was on the bike just four times before I came here and hadn’t trained since I crashed in Latvia, so over two months!” he said. “We knew it would be tough coming here on a sand track but I was hungry to ride and didn’t have pain any more. I was not fit for sure but I am also a bit disappointed because I had good speed; I pushed a little bit too much in the first moto and ran out of energy. I crashed twice in the second moto. Sport can sometimes be really hard but I will pick up myself and come back strong.”
From eleven rounds Gajser has two GP wins and four podiums and trails only Cairoli in terms of leading the biggest amount of laps. He is the only other rider to have held the red plate in MXGP this term.
