FIM Motocross World Championship – MX1 / MX2

(ORLYONOK) Russia, 7 Giugno 2017 – Dopo un fine settimana fuori dal campo MXGP è pronto a correre ancora una volta. Il round 10° del Campionato del Mondo FIM Motocross si terrà per la prima volta sul circuito di Orlyonok in Russia. Orlyonok ha tuttavia si rivelerà come un ospite degno dopo aver tenuto la FIM Junior Campionato Mondiale Motocross 2016.

L’ultima visita dei GP per il paese era nel 2012. La sede dista 98 miglia da Sochi, in Russia, che ha ospitato le Olimpiadi invernali del 2014 con la pista situata sul bordo orientale del Mar Nero in un ambiente costiero.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team Clement Desalle e Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Pauls Jonass hanno lo slancio dalla loro parte dopo aver vinto l’ultima fermata in Francia con Desalle e la sua prima vittoria della stagione.

Oltre alla MXGP e MX2 il weekend includerà gare del campionato europeo sotto forma di EMX300 e EMX250. Brad Anderson comanda EMX 300 dopo aver vinto il primo round in Germania, mentre Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team Morgan Lesiardo comanda EMX250 da 4 gare nella serie.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Antonio Cairoli è l’attuale leader di classifica, ha vinto l’ultima volta in Russia e con nessuna gara MXGP precedentemente tenutasi a Orlyonok e il campione in carica del team HRC Tim Gajser out con infortunio, il podio è pronto per una nuova storia per essere fatto. Il #222 cercherà di andare a vincere sul suolo russo in questo fine settimana.

Del francese e Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Gautier Paulin ha preso l’abitudine di correre in attacco nelle ultime gare, dopo la sua vittoria al GP dell’Europa e podio in Francia ha fame. L’ultima visita in Russia fornita da Paulin con un 7° assoluto, un risultato che vorrà migliorare.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team Clement Desalle è venuta fuori una delle migliori prestazioni della sua stagione, vincendo il complesso in Francia. Desalle si adopererà per mantenere lo slancio dopo una pausa di una settimana. Finendo secondo assoluto al 2012 al GP della Russia, se non un’altra vittoria è alla portata di mano del belga.

Quinto nei punti generali, ma legato con Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Jeffrey Herlings è Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Jeremy Van Horebeek. Entrambi i piloti hanno corso il GP della Russia, ma nel 2012 erano nella categoria MX2. Herlings ha vinto nel 2012, ma Van Horebeek non era molto indietro con il terzo posto assoluto.

Il nativo russo e pilota HRC Evgeny Bobryshev ha confermato che correrà il suo GP di casa dopo la sua frattura alla clavicola in Germania. Il #777 è motivato a tornare, lui è 7° nei punti e unico pilota della HRC per il fine settimana, a Tim Gajser è stato recentemente diagnosticato una frattura alla scapola e una data di ritorno sconosciuta.

Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Romain Febvre aveva alcune delle sue migliori gare al GP precedente nel suo paese d’origine in Francia. Il 2015 è stato Campione, lotta in questa stagione, ma userà il suo miglior fine settimana francese come qualcosa da cui costruire.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Pauls Jonass sta continuando a svolgere ad un livello di campione ormai e siamo a metà della stagione 2017. Jonass ha preso l’assoluta in Francia 2 settimane fa e ora ha un vantaggio di 42 punti sul secondo in campionato.

Suzuki World MX2 Jeremy Seewer è più vicino a Jonass e il suo principale concorrente al titolo. 42 punti dietro le performance di Seewer stanno migliorando e in Francia ha terminato 3° ma soprattutto ha ridotto al minimo gli errori che sono stati il ​​suo nemico finora. Seewer è in missione ed è certamente uno da guardare in questo GP.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Thomas Kjer Olsen viene in Russia alla ricerca del podio dopo aver saltato la Francia. Il pilota danese ha impressionato nella sua stagione da rookie MX2 e molto probabilmente continuerà a farlo in Russia. Olsen è 3° nei punti ma solo 9 avanti al 4°.

Di LRT KTM Julien Lieber ha iniziato la stagione forte con più podi ma ultimamente ha lottato con gli errori. Ora nel suo ultimo anno nella classe MX2 Lieber è l’unico pilota privato nella top 5 dei punti. Il #33 sta cercando di impressionare le squadre 450 e un forte GP russo dopo alcuni giri sfortunati servirebbe proprio a questo.

Kemea Yamaha ufficiale del team MX Benoit Paturel è venuto fuori con la sua migliore prestazione della stagione al suo GP di casa in Francia. Mentre la maggior parte della stagione è stata caratterizzata da inizi poco brillanti e combattere attraverso il gruppo, la Francia ha visto un diverso Paturel, uno che ha afferrato il FOX Holeshot e una vittoria sulla strada per un secondo assoluto. Paturel sta trasformando la sua stagione e spera di continuare a muoversi nella direzione vincente per la Russia.

Di MX2 “Bestia dell’ Est”, di Monster Energy Kawasaki DRT Vsevolod Brylakov sarà purtroppo fuori per questo fine settimana a causa di un infortunio, ma sarà presente visto che è il suo GP di casa.

MXGP heads to Russia

(ORLYONOK) Russia, 7 June 2017 – After a weekend off the MXGP field is ready to race once again. The 10th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship will be held for the first time ever at the circuit of Orlyonok in Russia. Orlyonok did however prove itself as a worthy host after holding the 2016 FIM Junior World Motocross Championship.

The last MXGP visit to the country was in 2012. The venue is a 98 Mile drive from Sochi, Russia, host of the 2014 Winter Olympics with the track located on the eastern edge of the black see in a coastal setting.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Clement Desalle and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Pauls Jonasshave momentum on their side after winning the last stop in France with Desalle claiming his first of win of season.

In addition to MXGP and MX2 the weekend will include European championship racing in the form of EMX300 Presented by FMF Racing and EMX250. Brad Anderson leads EMX 300 Presented by FMF Racing’s Championship after winning the opening round in Germany while Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Morgan Lesiardo leads EMX250 4 rounds into the series.

 

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Antonio Cairoli is the current points leader, he won the last visit to Russia and with no previous MXGP race held in Orlyonok and the reigning champion Team HRC’s Tim Gajser out with injury the podium is wide open for new history to be made. The #222 will look to go 2 for 2 on Russian soil this weekend.

Frenchman and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Gautier Paulin has made a habit of racing up front the past few races, after his win at the MXGP of Europe and podium in France he is hungry for more. The last visit to Russia provided Paulin with a 7th overall, a result he will want to better.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s Clement Desalle is coming off the best racing performance of his season, winning the overall in France. Desalle will strive to keep the momentum after the weekend off. Finishing second overall at the 2012 MXGP of Russia a podium if not another win is well within the Belgian’s reach.

Fifth in points but tied with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings is Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jeremy Van Horebeek. Both riders raced the MXGP of Russia but in 2012 they were in the MX2 category. Herlings claimed the 2012 overall but Van Horebeek was not far behind with third overall.

Russian native and HRC rider Evgeny Bobryshev has confirmed he will race his home GP after his broken collar bone in Germany. The #777 is motivated to come back as he is 7th in the points and HRC’s only rider for the weekend as Tim Gajser was recently diagnosed with a fractured shoulder blade and an unknown return date.

Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Romain Febvre had some of his best races at the previous GP in his home country of France. The 2015 Champion has been struggling this season but will use his improved french weekend as something build on.

        

 

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Pauls Jonass is continuing to perform at the level of a champion now half way through the 2017 season. Jonass took the overall in France 2 weeks ago and now has a 42 point lead over the second in the championship.

Suzuki World MX2’s Jeremy Seewer is the closest to Jonass and his main title competitor. 42 points behind Seewer’s performances are improving and in France he finished 3rd overall but most importantly he minimized the mistakes which have been his foe thus far. Seewer is on a mission and is certainly one to watch this GP.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Thomas Kjer Olsen comes into Russia looking for the podium after missing it in France. The Danish rider has impressed in his rookie MX2 season and will most likely continue to do so in Russia. Olsen is sitting 3rd in the points but only 9 ahead of 4th.

LRT KTM’s Julien Lieber started the season strong with multiple podium finishes but lately he has struggled with mistakes. Now on his last year in the MX2 class Lieber is the only privateer in the top 5 of the points. The #33 is looking to impress the 450 teams and a strong Russian GP after some unfortunate rounds would do just that.

Kemea Yamaha Official MX Team’s Benoit Paturel is coming off his best performance of the season at his home GP in France. While most of the season has been filled with lackluster starts and battling through the pack, France saw a different Paturel, one who grabbed a career first FOX Holeshot and race win on the way to second overall. Paturel is turning his season around and will hope to continue moving in the winning direction for Russia.

MX2’s “Beast from the East”, Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki’s Vsevolod Brylakov will unfortunately sit out this weekends racing due to injury but will be in attendance of what is his home GP.
