KTM SX 2018: IN ARRIVO LA NUOVA GAMMA!

 
 
 

Con una gamma che va dalla 50 SX alla 450 SX-F, con motori 2 Tempi e 4 Tempi, KTM offre al pubblico di appassionati, amatori e professionisti una gamma di prodotti dedicati al Motocross dalle altissime qualità tecniche. Sviluppate in collaborazione diretta coi Factory Team che nelle ultime stagioni hanno dominato i campionati di tutto il Mondo, le moto READY TO RACE della gamma 2018 si avvalgono del contributo prestato da piloti di spessore come Ryan Dungey, Antonio Cairoli e Jeffrey Herlings.

In particolare, il 2018 sarà l’anno del completo rinnovamento per la KTM 85 SX, destinata al pubblico di giovani campioni, che dismessi i panni dei “bimbi”, si affacciano al mondo dei grandi con una moto aggiornata e molto performante. Andando nello specifico e partendo dal cuore della motocicletta, il motore della MY18 è più leggero di 0,69 kg, è più potente ed è stato migliorato nell’erogazione su tutto il regime di rotazione. Anche la ciclistica è stata aggiornata, con un nuovo telaio ora più leggero, realizzato in resistente acciaio al cromo molibdeno e un telaietto posteriore dal peso più contenuto. La nuova 85 SX, che nella gamma Mini affianca la 50 SX e la 65 SX, andando a comporre una “line-up” di prodotti completa e performante, è equipaggiata con un impianto frenante Formula, abbinato a un pacchetto di sospensioni WP Performance Systems di altissimo livello: forcella WP AER 43 e mono WP Xplor con sistema PDS (progressive damping system) specificamente messo a punto per questo modello.

Nella gamma da “adulti”, la 125 SX presenta nuove staffe di collegamento tra la testa del propulsore e il telaio realizzate in alluminio (precedentemente erano in acciaio) e insieme alla 250 SX guadagna una nuova centralina elettronica, capace di una maggior velocità di calcolo.

Anche la gamma 4 Tempi giova di numerosi piccoli aggiornamenti tecnici, che vanno a completare le già eccellenti dotazioni di serie, come l’avviamento elettrico, il selettore mappe, il traction control e il pacchetto di sospensioni WP.

In generale, su tutta la gamma, troviamo un nuovo set-up della forcella WP AER 48, nuove grafiche e… quel telaio verniciato di arancione che fa tanto factory look!

KTM Announces 2018 SX and SX-F Lineup

 

Murrieta, Calif. – KTM North America, Inc. is pleased to release a first-look at the 2018 lineup for its class-leading SX range, which includes a brand new KTM 85 SX machine for junior riders.

With its 2-stroke and 4-stroke machines, from the KTM 50 SX to the KTM 450 SX-F ultimate powerhouse, KTM offers high quality serial equipment in all of its motocross range. As developed for its factory racing teams, which have won numerous races and championships, including back-to-back AMA 450 Supercross titles with Ryan Dungey, as well as the FIM MX2 World Championship with Jeffrey Herlings, these KTM serial machines are renowned for being Ready to Race right out of the crate.

2018 KTM 85 SX HIGHLIGHTS 

  • NEW engine that is 0.69 kg lighter than the previous model.
  • Improved power and rideability throughout the complete RPM range.
  • Lighter chassis with a revised chro-moly steel frame as crafted by WP Performance Systems, as well as a lighter subframe.
  • WP AER 43 forks and a specifically-developed WP Xplor progressive damping system (PDS) shock absorber, which provides excellent sensitivity and outstanding bottoming resistance with full adjustability.

In the adult range, the KTM 125 SX and KTM 150 SX now feature new aluminum head stays, as well as a new CDI control unit for improved starting performance. As with all of KTM serial equipment, the 4-stroke range, including the KTM 250 SX-F, KTM 350 SX-F and KTM 450 SX-F, boasts high-quality, class-leading components from the all-important E-starter, to the WP suspension, traction control and map selection, and much more to compliment the super lightweight, yet powerful, championship-winning engines.

In addition, the complete model year 2018 SX range, including both 2-stroke and 4-stroke machines, features revised suspension settings in the WP AER 48 forks, along with a factory-looking orange frame and brand new graphics to finish the look.
