Il mese scorso il Team JGRMX annunciò il passaggio in giallo e l’aggiunta di un reparto per la 250. A quel tempo, ci si aspettava che Phil Nicoletti avrebbe continuato il suo servizio per la squadra JGR e passasse alla classe 250 per la West coast 250SX, e Matt Bisceglia, che ha corso per Suzuki lo scorso anno, sembrava essere un probabile candidato per la 250SX. Ora la coppia è stata confermata da Suzuki. Adesso ogni pilota sarà in gara ma non è ancora stato annunciato in quale costa.
Ciò che è interessante è che la squadra non sarà effettivamente nello stesso modo della squadra JGR 450. Alcune voci riportano che le moto della 250 saranno costruiti e sviluppati principalmente presso la factory Yoshimura in California, invece della base JGR, che sviluppa e costruisce le 450S.

Justin Barcia e Weston Peick rimangono i piloti 450 per la squadra Monster Energy / JGR Suzuki AutoTrader.com, ma crediamo che Nicoletti potrebbe essere utilizzato in 450 nel supercross se uno dei due piloti subisse un infortunio. Per Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, Nicoletti tornerà alle 450S, mentre Bisceglia correrà 250s per tutta la stagione.

BREA, Calif. (November 16, 2016) – Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) today is proud to announce the signing of Phil Nicoletti and Matt Bisceglia to ride RM-Z250s during the 2017 Supercross season as part of the newly formed JGRMX Suzuki team.
Nicoletti, a long-time JGR team member, is eager to race the Suzuki RM-Z250 and compete for podiums and wins during the Supercross season before transitioning to the RM-Z450 for the Motocross season. Bisceglia, no stranger to the RM-Z250 as he competed on one last year during supercross, is looking forward to building on his Toronto SX podium as he works his way up the podium ladder in 2017. Matt will continue to ride the RM-Z250 when the season goes Outdoors in May.

Justin Barcia and Weston Peick remain the 450 riders for the AutoTrader.com/ Monster Energy/JGR Suzuki team, but we suspect Nicoletti would still get pressed into 450 service in supercross if one of those riders goes down with an injury. For Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, Nicoletti will go back to the 450s, while Bisceglia will race 250s all season.
