Yamaha Motor Extends Contract with Jeremy Van Horebeek for MXGP
Yamaha Motor è lieta di annunciare il rinnovo del contratto corrente Monster Energy Yamaha ufficiale MXGP del pilota Jeremy Van Horebeek. L’accordo vedrà il pilota MXGP rimanere come pilota ufficiale Yamaha per la stagione 2017.
Il 27enne belga, entrato a far parte di Yamaha nel 2014, ha debuttato in MXGP sulla YZ450FM con grande successo, tra cui 12 podi e una vittoria in Repubblica Ceca per la sua prima vittoria nella classe regina. Nel 2015 ‘JVH’ ha combattuto il ritorno da un infortunio al piede per finire quinto in campionato nonostante mancassero due fine settimana di Grand Prix e punti.
Nel 2016 Van Horebeek ha lavorato con la meccanica e manager per migliorare le sue partenze e velocità, ed i risultati sono venuti tutti i fine settimana, con risultati nei top-10 in 10 dei 12 Gran Premi e piazzamenti costanti che lo inseriscono nei primi cinque in classifica di campionato. Il suo risultato più alto in questa stagione è terzo in una giornata calda e umida in Thailandia.
Venuto dalla pausa di luglio Van Horebeek si trova attualmente sesto in campionato prima della gara in Repubblica Ceca e la sua pista di casa a Lommel, in Belgio.

Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. is delighted to announce the contract renewal of current Monster Energy Yamaha Official MXGP rider Jeremy Van Horebeek. The agreement will see the MXGP rider remain as an official Yamaha rider for the 2017 season.
The 27-year old Belgian first joined Yamaha in 2014, and made his MXGP debut on the YZ450FM with great success, including 12 podiums and a victory in the Czech Republic for his first win in the premier class. In 2015 ‘JVH’ battled back from a foot injury to finish fifth in the championship despite missing two weekends of Grand Prix action and points.
In 2016 Van Horebeek has worked with mechanics and managers to improve his starts and speed, and the results have come every weekend, with top-10 finishes in 10 of 12 Grand Prix races and steady placings among the top five in the championship standings. His highest finish this season came third on a hot and humid day in Thailand.
Coming off the July break, Van Horebeek currently sits sixth in the championship ahead of races in the Czech Republic and his home track in Lommel, Belgium.
