DIRETTAMENTE DA YAMAHA RACING L’AGGIORNAMENTO SU FEBVRE CHE SALTA IL GP IN INGHILTERRA E ITALIA!!!
A seguito della consultazione con il rappresentante della Commissione medica della FIM, Febvre si ritirerà dal GP di Gran Bretagna per recarsi a casa e continuare il suo recupero. Il 24enne francese non parteciperà nemmeno al GP di Lombardia-Italia il 26 giugno.
“Sono deluso di lasciare, ma l’incidente di Sabato è stato grave ed è la decisione migliore per il mio benessere di ritirarmi da Matterley Basin. Con un trauma cranico è molto importante riposare e recuperare e non prendere nessuna azione che potrebbe causare un altro shock, così recupererò a casa e aspetterò i test medici per determinare quando posso continuare gli allenamenti e le corse “, ha detto Febvre.
Yamaha Motocross Direttore Sportivo Alberto Barozzi ha detto che Febvre salterà la prossima gara a Mantova, e avvicinarsi a un ritorno una volta che ha recuperato completamente.
“La FIM è molto chiara quando si tratta di questo tipo di infortunio, tutte le precauzioni devono essere prese per proteggere la salute e il recupero del pilota. Siamo tutti delusi di perdere queste importanti gare in Gran Bretagna e in Italia, ma nel quadro più ampio è la salute di Romain che dobbiamo considerare “, ha detto Barozzi.

Roman ha pesantemente impattato nella manche di Qualifica. Durante la caduta è rimasto a terra senza conoscenza, il personale di soccorso è stato molto veloce a supportarlo e ha fatto un ottimo lavoro. Gli esami passati non hanno rivelato nessuna frattura né perdita di coordinazione motoria. Comunque Roman ha subito una grande perdita di conoscenza che richiede una stretta sorveglianza medica. La salute prevale sull’aspetto sportivo, non potrà prendere parte al gp d’Inghilterra.

Il 24enne francese è stato esaminato in loco da personale medico e trasportato immediatamente al University Hospital di Southampton, dove è stato sottoposto ad ulteriori indagini e trattamento.
I medici University Hospital di Southampton hanno eseguito una TAC e radiografie sulla sua colonna vertebrale cervicale e degli arti e diagnosticato a Febvre una ferita alla testa e un dito medio destro fratturato prima di rilasciarlo da cure urgenti.
Febvre si consulterà con il personale del team e il personale medico FIM di Domenica per determinare i suoi prossimi passi al MXGP della Gran Bretagna.

Romain a lourdement chuté dans la manche qualificative. Durant un petit moment il est resté inconscient et a été très vite pris en charge par le service de secours qui a fait un excellent travail. Les examens passés n’ont révèle aucune fracture ni perte de motricité. Néanmoins Romain a subit une grosse perte de connaissance qui nécessite une surveillance médicale rapprochée. La santé primant sur l’aspect sportif, il ne pourra prendre part au GP d’Angleterre.

Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing Official MXGP Team rider Romain Febvre crashed on Saturday during the MXGP qualifying race at Matterley Basin in England. The 24-year old Frenchman was examined on site by medical personnel and transported immediately to University Hospital Southampton where he underwent further investigation and treatment.
Doctors at University Hospital Southampton performed a CT scan and x-rays on his cervical spine and limbs and diagnosed Febvre with a head injury and a fractured right middle finger before releasing him from urgent care.
Febvre will consult with team staff and FIM medical personnel on Sunday to determine his next steps at the MXGP of Great Britain.

Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team Rider Romain Febvre met with team staff and FIM medical personnel on Sunday morning, June 19th, following a crash on Saturday during qualifying at Matterley Basin to evaluate his condition and determine his eligibility to start the MXGP of Great Britain.
Following consultation with the medical commission representative from the FIM, Febvre will withdraw from the MXGP of Great Britain and travel home to continue his recovery. The 24-year old Frenchman will not start the MXGP of Lombardia-Italy on June 26th.
“I’m disappointed to leave early, but the crash on Saturday was serious and it is the best decision for my own well-being to withdraw from Matterley Basin. With a head injury it is very important to rest and recover and take no action that could cause another shock, so I will recover at home and wait for more medical tests to determine when I can continue training and racing,” Febvre said.
Yamaha Motocross Racing Manager Alberto Barozzi said Febvre will miss the next race in Mantova, and approach a return once he has recovered fully.
“The FIM is very clear when it comes to this type of injury that every precaution must be taken to protect the rider’s health and recovery. We are all disappointed to miss these important races in Great Britain and Italy, but in the larger picture it is Romain’s health that we must consider,” Barozzi said.
