Tommy Searle eleventh in Germany
Tommy Searle di Monster Energy Kawasaki DRT ha corso al tredicesimo e al nono posto nel settimo round del Campionato FIM Motocross Mondiale MXGP a Teutschenthal in Germania.
Il pilota inglese, ancora una volta ha dimostrato la sua velocità grezzo ha avuto il terzo miglior tempo durante la sessione di prova e ha ricoperto un quinto posto per tre giri della gara di qualifica fino a quando un errore di guida lo ha spinto a fondo gruppo con la conseguente scarsa scelta di posizione di partenza per entrambe le gare. Il completamento del primo giro di gara uno in trentesima posizione, Tommy ha registrato tempi sul giro identici ai piloti al comando finendo in tredicesima posizione alla bandiera a scacchi. Dopo un inizio migliore in gara due si è concluso in undicesima posizione.
Tommy Searle: “Ho segnato alcuni giri veloci durante le sessioni di prove, poi ho ottenuto una buona partenza nella gara di qualifica, ma ho fatto un errore in una curva dopo pochi giri e non ho potuto tenere la moto a causa del dolore al mio ginocchio e del menisco rimediato da un incidente precedente. Non riuscivo a guidare come so fare, ma si deve continuare a cercare di fare del mio meglio e rimanere positivo. Non abbiamo avuto molta fortuna nelle ultime settimane, ma la velocità c’è e se continuiamo ad andare avanti i risultati arriveranno presto “.

Tommy Searle of Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki raced to thirteenth and ninth placed finishes in the seventh round of the FIM World MXGP Motocross Championship at Teutschenthal in Germany.
The English rider once again proved his raw speed as he sped to third fastest time during the timed training session and he held a comfortable fifth place for three laps of the qualification race until a riding error pushed him downfield with the consequent poor choice of starting position for both points-scoring races. Completing the first lap of race one in thirtieth position Tommy posted lap times identical to the leaderboard riders on his way to thirteenth position at the chequered flag. After a better start in race two he converted eleventh place on lap one to ninth at the finish and is now eleventh in the series standings, just nine points shy of ninth.
Tommy Searle: “I posted some fast laps during the practice sessions, and then got a good start in the qualifying race but made a mistake in a corner after a few laps and couldn’t pick the bike up as I’ve had pain in my knee and meniscus from a previous crash. I couldn’t ride like my true self but I keep trying to do my best and stay positive. We’ve not had much luck in recent weeks but the speed is there and if we keep going and going the results will come soon.”
François Lemariey (KRT team manager): “It was tough weekend for us as Clement couldn’t ride. He had to rest all week after his crash at Kegums; nothing is broken but it’s still painful and he did not have enough strength to ride. He made a test during the free practice session and we decided together that it was better not to race; he needs to be strong enough before riding so we’ll review the situation next week. Jordi has been riding again for three weeks and he will be soon back to the GPs.”
